MEET ABBIE💕 Abbie was on her last days at the shelter when PAWS Rescue found a foster and took her under their care. This beautiful girl is a border collie mix and on the smaller side, under 45lbs., though she has the heart of a lion. She is approximately 2 years of age. Abbie thinks it’s her job to protect her person. She’s on constant alert for anything that could potentially hurt her person. Abbie is hoping to find a family where she can put her special skills to work in protecting her person(s) from any falling leaves or squirrels. Abbie is selective on furry friends and needs extra time to learn new dogs can be friends. She loves jumping and would excel in agility or as a running partner. Meet Venus the Perfect Puppy! She is currently almost 9 weeks old and we think she may be a Border Collie/Labrador mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. Watch more about Venus here: We think Venus is indeed the perfect puppy, and it just takes one look at her sweet fluffy face and expressive eyes to know that we just might be right. Venus is a gorgeous silky soft black fluffball that we simply can't get enough of! But it's not just Venus' appearance that will hook 'ya because this adorable girl has the charm and charisma to match. Venus is a very social young lady, and everyone she meets is a friend - potentially a bestie, and definitely deserving of a few licks to brighten their day. (It will; it definitely will.) Her joyful attitude is absolutely contagious, and you can't NOT smile after meeting Venus. This smart cookie is already learning all the doggy ropes from the other dogs in her foster home. She is around several other dogs of all sizes and personalities, and this magnetic girl gets along with all of them, from the big to the small. She is learning so much, and has mastered the 'sit' already. If all of that isn't enough (!), Venus is extremely cat-friendly, so much so that we think she might be part cat, lol. Venus is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. We are brother and sister, and a bonded pair, which means it’s important that we are adopted together. We have been together our whole lives and have only had each other.  We were pulled off the euthanasia list from an out of state shelter after being surrendered due to no fault of our own.  We are very well mannered. We are house trained, crate trained, we don’t beg when the humans are eating and love to play with all sizes of dogs. We are not good with kitties. We want to chase them. We love kids of all sizes. Frankly we have never met a person we didn’t love. We love to go on walks and be outside enjoying the sunshine. We would love to have any active family to love on us. We love our car rides and are well behaved. Our adoption fee of 400.00 for both of us includes spay/neuter, microchip, up to date on vaccines.

MEET TONNIE Meet our special needs girl, Tonnie. ❤️ Tonnie is a 8 month old, Australian Kelpie mix that is funny, silly, and a perfect puppy who happens to be blind. She would love to play all day long if you let her, and she has endless fun with her foster siblings, including cats. One of her favorite activities is feeling the dirt between her toes, which means she would love a sandbox of her very own for digging purposes. We are working on her puppy tendencies, and while she may playfully run away when scolded, it's hard to stay upset at her when everything is a game. She might have a little vision in the corner of one eye, but at night, she’s completely blind. Tonnie needs someone who understands her and has patience. She is still a bit afraid of new people and noises but is slowly calming down. She is kennel trained but doesn’t like to feel cornered when approached by strangers, which is understandable. Tonnie is the happiest dog I’ve ever fostered! Her constant silliness and happy-go-lucky attitude are always making me laugh and shake my head in amusement. We could all learn a bit from blind dogs.
