Story
MEET ABBIE💕 Abbie was on her last days at the shelter when PAWS Rescue found a foster and took her under their care. This beautiful girl is a border collie mix and on the smaller side, under 45lbs., though she has the heart of a lion. She is approximately 2 years of age. Abbie thinks it’s her job to protect her person. She’s on constant alert for anything that could potentially hurt her person. Abbie is hoping to find a family where she can put her special skills to work in protecting her person(s) from any falling leaves or squirrels. Abbie is selective on furry friends and needs extra time to learn new dogs can be friends. She loves jumping and would excel in agility or as a running partner. Abbie is potty trained and crate trained. If you are interested in adopting this beautiful girl please send PAWS Rescue inc a message. Abbie’s adoption fee is $300 and includes her dewormers, spay, vaccinations and microchip. Thank you Staci Jensen and family for fostering this sweet girl and giving her a second chance.🐾 *Photo Credit: Traci B Photography.

Story
Bandit showed up and earned his name by stealing everyone's heart. Something in his demeanor and size make it almost impossible to not fall quickly head over heels for him. You have seen his picture so you know, he is a petite, cattle-dog looking boy with sparkles in his eyes. He is friendly, attentive, playful, and absolutely adoring. And when I say petite, I mean a cute 30 lbs. We estimate he is about 10 months old so he may grow a touch more but we anticipate he will stay in this perfect mid-medium size. Despite being essentially a puppy, Bandit displays some wonderfully mature qualities. He is great with other dogs and kids, easily sharing treats and toys, and has great basic on-leash manners. My favorite thing is watching how easily he can switch from excited play to calm and peaceful quiet play. We introduced Bandit to new dogs to gauge his interest, comfort and playfulness. He has shown us he is playful and friendly with other dogs and would love someone to play chase with. When the other dogs were tired he understood it was a great time for a break, finding himself a nice spot in the shade to lay. While outside he is great at entertaining himself and checks in regularly. As for ideal home for Bandit includes a fenced in back yard. Daily walks, mental stimulation, and socializing will be an important part of ensuring Bandit continues growing into his best self. While on your daily walks and potty breaks, be prepared to make some well-meaning small talk about your adorable, well-behaved and calm rescue dog. People seem to gravitate towards his charm and good looks and he welcomes it! He is friendly to everyone and greets with such warm affection it is easy to feel like you are part of a duo of joy-bringers when you’re together. We also introduced Bandit to our house cat and he was perfectly curious and respectful. His playful side would likely show in at least one attempt to get the cat to play with him, maybe even a fun-loving chase, so a dog-savvy cat would be best. When he got swatted on the nose for getting a touch closer than the cat invited him to, he respected the message and happily walked away. From then on he ignored the cat, going back to his little stuffie toy and the couch full of people waiting to love on him. He has all the makings of an absolutely perfect companion! If you have any questions about Bandit or are ready to move forward by applying, here is all the info you need. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. INTRODUCING BART & LISA🩷🩵 - BONDED PAIR - This bonded pair is ready for their Furever home. Bart is fully vetted with his shots, neuter and microchip. Lisa is just finishing up her last shots and is spayed and microchipped. They were found on the streets in Nyssa dining at a feral cat station for several months last summer. Lisa is a 2 1/2 year old long haired chihuahua blend weighing in at about 10 lbs of pure sweetness and is a happy girl. She needs help with her potty training, will chase squirrels for hours and does well with all dogs. She loves to sit next to her person for belly rubs and loves. She does well on a leash. Bart is a 2 1/2 year old Australian Kelpie blend and has been Lisa’s protecter by staying close to her side. He is fully potty trained and will asked to go outside. His interest in squirrels isn’t as great as Lisa’s. He is treat motivated and loves to sit next to his person for loves as well. He is stout at 35#’s. He wants to be the boss of other dogs but with consistency and boundaries he will do fine. He does well on a leash This bonded pair just need each other and a loving home.

Story
This bonded pair of Husky/Kelpie mix, approximately 4 years old are the best dogs and would make a great addition to any family! Hello! We are Chet and Ruby. We are brother and sister, and a bonded pair, which means it’s important that we are adopted together. We have been together our whole lives and have only had each other.  We were pulled off the euthanasia list from an out of state shelter after being surrendered due to no fault of our own.  We are very well mannered. We are house trained, crate trained, we don’t beg when the humans are eating and love to play with all sizes of dogs. We are not good with kitties. We want to chase them. We love kids of all sizes. Frankly we have never met a person we didn’t love. We love to go on walks and be outside enjoying the sunshine. We would love to have any active family to love on us. We love our car rides and are well behaved. Our adoption fee of 400.00 for both of us includes spay/neuter, microchip, up to date on vaccines.
