Story
MEET TONNIE! Tonnie is a 2 year old Australian Kelpie mix looking for her furever home through PAWS Rescue, Inc. Tonnie is a sweet spirit. She loves to play with other dogs or alone with her toys. She enjoys a good walk or playing in the yard. One of her favorite things is to grab a drink as the water flows from the hose. Tonnie can be shy at first and needs someone who will be patient with her. She takes her time getting to know people, but once she feels safe, she's very affectionate. She loves back scratches, belly rubs, and snuggling up to watch TV. She loves treats and has a very soft approach to taking them. She knows the sit command and has good recall (most of the time!!) She's done very well at the dog park and at Club Hound. She seems to enjoy off-leash time with other dogs but has done well with pack walks, too. She hasn't spent a lot of time with my cat but appears to be non-reactive. She does have some visual impairment, which affects her very little. It's almost unnoticeable at home, but she occasionally runs into things if she's in unfamiliar territory. It has been a real pleasure fostering her and watching her blossom. We think she will make someone a great companion. Help our sweet Tonnie find her forever home!

MEET PEPPER💕 🚩PEPPER IS IN NEED OF AN ADOPTER OR FOSTER HOME BY 3/23 OR SHE WILL HAVE TO GO INTO BOARDING🚩 Pepper is a beautiful Aussie blend female approx 3 years old, weighing about 30 lbs that is looking for her furever home through PAWS Rescue inc. Pepper has the softest fluffy coat and is the sweetest girl! Just look at that face! Pepper loves being outside, enjoys belly rubs, sleeps well in her crate, walks well on a leash and rides well in the car without a crate on a tie down. She has some quirks that can make her react by spinning and barking at reflections and certain sounds but she can be calmed by distracting her, talking to her calmly and/or rubbing her belly. She would do best with a patient person who can help her manage the overstimulation. She takes one small anti-anxiety pill each morning and does best with structure, routine, and a relatively quiet home. Pepper’s ideal home has: • A fenced yard to explore during the day - ideally with a cubby/dog house she can rest in when she wants • A dark, quiet area inside to sleep at night • No young children • A calm, patient person who will work with her daily • Someone willing to give her consistency, understanding, and love • Dogs are ok; she tends to ignore them. Cats unsure. Pepper is very lovable and deserving of someone who will give her the chance to feel safe and cherished. For the right person, she will be an incredibly rewarding companion.

MEET SHELBY! Introducing Shelby Ann who is looking for love in all the right places. Shelby is an Australian Cattle dog mix, 9 years young and approx 60 lbs. ready for her “furever” home through PAWS Rescue inc. She has a quiet confidence and lets her gentle, loving personality speak for itself. Affectionate and people-oriented, she’s always happy to trade kisses for pets—anytime, day or night. She is very well-mannered and knows her basic commands, including sit, stay, down, and come. She is fully house trained and has been doing great using a doggy door in her foster home, enjoying the freedom to come and go (and occasionally keeping an eye out for squirrels). She loves daily walks and truly enjoys car rides, making her a great companion for outings or simple adventures. She has done well with smaller dogs in her foster home but should meet any potential canine housemates to ensure a good match. Despite being around 9 years old, she’s still playful and full of life, with a kind, gentle nature that makes her a wonderful companion. *Fenced yard required* This sweet girl is ready to bring love, loyalty, and joy to her forever home. 💖 Thank you Giny C for fostering and saving a life!
