MEET ABBIE💕 Abbie was on her last days at the shelter when PAWS Rescue found a foster and took her under their care. This beautiful girl is a border collie mix and on the smaller side, under 45lbs., though she has the heart of a lion. She is approximately 2 years of age. Abbie thinks it’s her job to protect her person. She’s on constant alert for anything that could potentially hurt her person. Abbie is hoping to find a family where she can put her special skills to work in protecting her person(s) from any falling leaves or squirrels. Abbie is selective on furry friends and needs extra time to learn new dogs can be friends. She loves jumping and would excel in agility or as a running partner. What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. Rowan is a 1yo heeler mix. He is FULL of puppy energy and never seems to get tired. The only thing he loves more than his ball, is his person and he wants to be right by your side all the time. That being said, he also does well by himself for long periods of time as long as he has a chew toy or a puzzle. He has his obedience training down, is learning basic agility, and has started scent training. He is extremely intelligent and eager to please. He also does great in long car rides. However, he does have strong heeler genes. Rowan can be protective and can be aggressive towards others. He did not receive the socialization or training needed as a puppy. We are working on training and have seen progress in his behavior. Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to maintain this. He needs an understanding owner who will love him like we do and a home where he can thrive.
