Hi, I’m Forest! I’m a 2-year-old mixed breed who spent a week wandering the streets before I was finally caught and brought to safety. It’s been a tough journey, but now that I’m warm, fed, and starting to feel safe, I’m starting to show my true colors! I’m a pretty mellow guy who’s still a little shy and timid, but I’m very sweet and gentle. I love giving kisses once I feel comfortable with you! I might not know any commands yet, but I’m treat motivated—especially for soft, yummy treats, so I’m ready to learn with a little patience and kindness. I think I’m at least partially housetrained, but I’m still settling into this whole “home life” thing. I’d probably be best as an only pet for now while I get used to everything, and I’d do best in a home with older kids who can give me the space I need to feel safe. Once I trust you, I’m sure we’ll become best friends! I’m probably good with other dogs as long as we get introduced slowly and in the right way. I’m not sure about cats, so we’d need to see how I do around them. A big yard with a tall fence would be perfect for me to have a space to call my own, where I can run and relax without worry. If you’re patient, kind, and ready to give me the love and space I need, I think we’ll make a great team. I can’t wait to find my forever family!
