Meet Major!  2-Year-Old Mixed Breed Border Collie Medium Size High Energy Seeks Attention Previous Owner Left Him Alone Too Long Needs an Experienced Owner to Help Instill Confidence Will Bond with Nurturing and Love Loves to Be with People Good with Other Dogs (Unknown about Cats) Happy Attitude Willing to Please Major is a lively and affectionate mixed breed Border Collie looking for his forever home. He has a high energy level and craves attention, making him a perfect match for an active and loving household. Unfortunately, his previous owner left him alone for long periods and didn't provide the attention he requires and needs. Major would benefit greatly from an experienced owner who can help instill confidence in him. With nurturing and love, he will quickly bond and become a loyal companion. He loves being around people and is good with other dogs. We are unsure about his behavior with cats. Major has a happy attitude and is always willing to please. If you're ready to welcome a spirited and loving dog into your home, Major is waiting to meet you!   All dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and spayed or neutered (if they are old enough) before they leave the shelter.   Please fill out an application if you are interested in this dog or call us today for more information   Because we are an all-volunteer organization, please call ahead to schedule a time for a Meet & Greet so we can ensure a dog handler is available to show you the dog or dogs you are interested in.   Pet Adoption League  1526 N. Story
Hello! My name is Sharlie and I'm a happy, loving and energetic little girl. I love running with the kind people walking by our side and backyard...sometimes they stop to give me a treat and let us pups sniff and get to know each other. I like to be inside or outside and use the dog door really well. I like my snuggle time with my mom and dad and will climb right up on your lap and let you love on me. I like going on walks, going to the home improvement stores and D&B and riding in the truck! I'm pretty good on a leash, come right away when you need me and could use more help with more commands. I really want to be the bestest girl I can. Why am I willing to blend with a new family? Well, my adopted brother is deaf and needs a different companion than me. We get along just fine but I'm young and independent and he really needs a calmer pal to hang out with. Oh yeah, I am very food motivated and my people tell me that I'm a good girl, a fast learner and smart...maybe to smart!

Story
Missy is a 4 year old lab border collie mix. She is super sweet and loving. We rescued her from a shelter as a brand new puppy. More on the calm side unless she meets someone new, she gets super excited. She is house trained and crate trained. Very smart. She can hit bells on the back door to let you know she needs to go outside to go to the bathroom. Otherwise she can use a doggie door. She is going blind. Our reason for rehoming her is we just had another baby and we are just too busy to give her the time and attention she deserves. We are looking for someone or a family that loves dogs so much that can give her the attention she needs.

These pups are in Emmett, Idaho too!

Story
Meet Astro! Large 3-Year-Old Male Australian Cattle Dog/Heeler Mix Needs to Be an Only Dog (due to lack of socialization as a puppy) Anxious and Can Become Possessive of His Person Requires an Experienced Owner Amazing Recall, Knows Sit, Down, and Stay Commands Walks Great on Leash Needs a Steel Kennel When Left Alone (due to strong anxiety) Astro is a loyal and intelligent Australian Cattle Dog/Heeler mix looking for a loving forever home. He needs to be the only dog in the household, as he wasn't properly socialized as a puppy and can become anxious and possessive of his person. Astro has amazing recall and knows several commands, including sit, down, and stay. He walks beautifully on a leash and enjoys spending time with his human. However, he does require an experienced owner who can manage his anxiety, especially when left alone. A steel kennel has been used in the past to help him cope with being left alone. If you're looking for a smart and loyal companion who needs a bit of extra attention, Astro is ready to meet you!
