Story
Annie came back to us due to allergies in her fur-ever family . Her 7 year old foster brother had reaction to her and mama tried to get her son medicine but it wasn't something the cute little boy could handle. Who would want their 7 year old son getting shots everyday? It was so sad because the 7 year old was crying the foster mama was crying and I was crying. Her foster mama will attest what a good girl Annie is. She didn't jump on 2 year old. Was wonderful playmate and companion to 7 year old. She walked to Washington Park daily. She was loved and spoiled. Annie has become withdrawn and sad. She wants her fur-ever home for Christmas will you be her Human?

Story
Hi, I`m Westley! I’m looking for a patient and active home that can keep up with me and help me learn with training classes—I hear they’ll really help me settle in. It’s unsure how I do with other pets, so I’ll need slow and proper introductions to make sure everyone is comfortable. It might take me a little time to adjust to my new home, but with love and patience, I know I’ll be the best companion ever!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. When Nero came to our rescue he was very sweet but also very shy. But when one of our fosters took him home he just blossomed into a real sweetheart. He loves his foster parents and their dogs. They are teaching him to just be a happy dog. Nero is a little cautious at first with strangers but warms up quickly. According to his foster parents he is doing fabulous on the leash, heeling on and off leash. He likes to chew on bones and random toys.  Nero doesn't like or even need to be locked away in a kennel. His foster thinks it would be good for him to have another dog/buddy to play with. He needs patience and love to learn the rules of his new home, like any new adopted dog. He would do best in a quiet home where his owners either work from home or are retired   A BIG 6 FOOT FENCED YARD/PROPERTY FOR HIM TO PLAY AND RUN AROUND IS A MUST!! NO APPARTEMENTS/TOWNHOMES WITHOUT A YARD OR UNDERGROUND ELECTRIC FENCING PLEASE!!!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 9, 2025, 5:58 pm

Story
Fargo is the cutest, most loving dog. It breaks our hearts to give him up. We never thought we’d be in a position where we could not take him with us. He loves chasing balls, sticks and plushies. Good luck getting him to give it up easily though. He will after a round of tug of war. :)

Story
We lost our GSD last summer and should have taken more time to ensure we could properly provide the necessary amount of attention to a new dog but we saw Aspen at a shelter and decided to rescue her then and there. She is only 7-8 months old. The shelter said she had been in a kennel for her entire life thus far, but she's adjusted perfectly fine. She is very smart!! Learned to ring the bells on the back door to go out very quickly. Goes to her crate at night time and when we go to work without issue or complaint. Sleeps all night without issue. She has tons of energy but is relaxed in the house, She typically gets walked around 3-6 miles a day and playtime in the backyard. The perfect environment for her would include: a backyard, kid(s) to play with, and maybe another dog. Or a super outdoors person. She takes treats extremely lightly, gets along with dogs, cats. She rides well in the car (took her to Breckenridge). Loves dog parks (she's super submissive).

Story
Hi, I`m Beasley! I`m a young lad, full of energy and curiosity. I love to play and explore, and I`m always up for a good game of fetch. I`m a bit shy at first, but once I get to know you, I`ll be your best friend. I`m smart too, I can figure out puzzles and tricks in no time. I`m not leash trained yet, but I`m eager to learn. I love my independence, but I also enjoy the company of others. I`m a bit of a paradox, aren`t I? But that`s what makes me unique. Adopting me would mean having a loyal, playful, and intelligent companion by your side. Let`s make some beautiful memories together!

I pick up on things quickly, which makes me a great companion. I can sit on cue, and I`m always eager to learn more tricks. I`m just looking for a family to share all my love and playfulness with. Adopting me means gaining a loyal friend who will always be there to brighten your day.
