Story
He knows basic commands, such as, sit, down, stay, paw, leave it. We are working on some anxiety training as he is very territorial of his home and his people, but not aggressively, just barks non-stop until he is comforted knowing his people and home are okay. He is the biggest cuddle bug. He gets along with other dogs, big and small. Just please be sure he is properly introduced, he has never been aggressive but we've never improperly introduced to give him the chance to be. I'm sure with his anxiety, he would be, if not properly introduced! He is used to livestock animals anywhere from chickens and pugs to horses! He loves to play tag with the horses but the chickens scare the daylights out of him!! He is not a good livestock protector though, as he hates being cold or left outdoors for too long! Lol. But he will wear out your goats! He deserves to be healthy in his home. We want him to go to a home with as much love and happiness as he has here! He does prefer the calmness of older children, although the crawling babies he adores too. He needs space to run or a family willing to take him on walks often, as it helps with his anxiety. He will not do well in apartments or townhomes.    He is up to date with rabies, but has no other vaccines, as we do not board him and he is only on our property. He is neutered. He has had one small surgery when he was a puppy for a cyst on his nose, but no further issues have transpired from that since. He is fed half kibble and half homemade/fresh food, or helps himself to the chicken eggs or pigs food! Lol. But he really will eat whatever! You will need a slow eat or puzzle bowl because he'll choke himself trying to eat! He's a good ball that loves to play, he will be the extra joy a family needs!! He is everything the pitbulls have to offer, for sure!! *Due to concerns surrounding COVID-19, we have reformatted the way that we do adoptions in order to follow social distancing protocols. We are thrilled that so many people want to adopt right now, but we are not equipped to handle the large number of calls, applications, and email inquiries we are receiving. We are no longer answering phone calls and are doing all communications with adopters via email. If you have a dog you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application before sending us emails. When your application has been processed, you will receive an email from us with further instructions on how to adopt. You do not need a new application for every dog that you are interested in adopting.  At MAMCO we understand that in order to continue rescuing moms and babies, we must stretch our finances as far as we are able. For this reason we use variable adoption pricing. By assigning higher adoption fees to high demand moms and puppies, we are able to rescue more families in need. The money raised through these adoptions acts as a benefactor to moms and puppies in our care who require expensive veterinary treatments, have behavioral issues, or need more time to find a home. We also cover hernia repair and cherry eye repair at the time of spay or neuter. Applications can be filled out at mamcorescue.org. ##885642##

Story
Meet Boots! Are you looking for a fun-loving, energetic, and affectionate dog to bring joy into your life? Look no further than Boots—this sweet 10-month-old Border Collie mix is eager to find her forever family! Boots is a total people-pleaser—she’s crate trained and gets along with everyone she meets, including kids, other dogs, and even cats! Her friendly and loving personality will win you over in no time. She’s always up for an adventure! Whether it’s long walks, car rides, or an occasional puppuccino, Boots is ready for it all. And if you’ve got a ball, she’s ready for a game of fetch that will leave you both smiling. Boots spent her early months in a rural shelter in Tennessee before being rescued and transferred to a boarding facility where she spent her days playing with other dogs. She’s now ready for a home where she can continue to thrive. A family with a spacious, fenced yard would be ideal for Boots to burn off her energy and enjoy her playful side. We think she’d love having another dog to play with, too! If you’re seeking an affectionate, active companion who will keep you on your toes and fill your home with love, Boots might be the perfect fit. She’s waiting for someone who can match her high energy and give her the forever home she truly deserves. Could Boots be the paw-some addition to your family? Once adopted, will travel via the Rescue Transport to new family. They travel each weekend from Memphis, Tennessee to the northeast, delivering pups along the way as far north as West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Transport is an additional $185. If you would like to make this cutie part of your family, please follow the link below to our adoption application. Our turnaround time is typically less than 24 hours so please be prepared before you submit your application. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

HOMEOWNERSHIP REQUIRED! Say hello to the one and only Minerva! This lively 1.5-year-old Border Collie mix is all set for the grand adventures of the good life. Minerva has made friends with other dogs and loves playing and romping around the yard. She loves playing tug and chewing on bones and soft toys. Minerva sleeps through the night in her crate, although she would be more than happy to cuddle in bed with you all night long. When given the chance, she has made a great sleepy buddy. Car rides are her jam and she makes a terrific passenger. If she had her way, she would go on all the car rides! Minerva likes a nice quiet house as she’s more on the shy side. She loves to hang out near you during the day while you work from home or keep you company while you sit and relax. A dog friend in the house makes her braver and she loves a four-legged wrestling partner. But she could be happy just being around her special person as well. She’s always ready for a walk and does well on a leash. She is very interested in tracking field mice and lizards during walks and her special skill is to jump in the air like a fox to pounce on a field mouse. Minerva knows sit, lay, paw and to wait to be released for her food. She is treat motivated and ready to learn new skills. As Minerva's trust in her foster family deepens, so does her affectionate side, overflowing with attention and love. She needs a little time to develop this trust and then she will reward you deeply. Minerva is calm, well behaved, and house trained. Equipped with up-to-date vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped, Minerva is ready to leap into your heart. Seal the deal by submitting your application today and prepare to welcome the newest member of your family! Adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter Rabies Vaccination Distemper / Parvo Vaccines (includes series of 3 for puppies) Bordetella Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration Deworming ##1945370##

HOMEOWNERSHIP REQURED! Hi there! My name is Higgins, and I'm all about giving kisses and tail wags! I’ve met a lot of people, but I’m ready to find my best bud. Small yet mighty, I guarantee we’ll have a ball together! I sleep quietly in my crate, and I just know you're going to think I’m great. I’m your guy, and when you meet me, you’ll see why! I’m relatively low energy for a pup, except for my occasional zoomies. I love toys and snuggles. I’m completely crate trained and will let you know I need to go potty by standing by the door. I'm a quick learner and one of the smartest puppies around. I've even met a cat and did great! I’m a 4-month-old Border Collie mix and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. I'd love to meet you and show off my tail wags! This dog is a courtesy listing and not one of our dogs. Please contact the email listed in this post. Obi is a 6.5-year-old Border Collie Shepherd mix. He is up to date on vaccinations and neutered. He is kid and cat-friendly. He is kennel-trained. He would love a home where he is the only dog and he has a yard! Obi can be difficult on the leash which is why a yard would suit him best. He’s been through a lot over the years before we brought him into our family and he takes a bit of time to adjust but comes out of his shell wonderfully and loves to give all the kisses! We unfortunately had to move and our new apartment does not allow dogs his size. He is a true joy and sweetheart to have in our lives and we would love to see Obi go to a home that will cherish him as much as we have. If you or someone you know is interested in fostering or adopting Obi please call/text me at 720-314-7975.December 22, 2024, 11:15 am

Story
Charming Chicks brings cheer to her foster home simply by being Chicks. The friendly 4-year-old black and white beauty is 48 pounds worth of snuggly sweetness who craves attention, thrives on interaction, and is most content when she’s cuddling with her people. In her quest for closeness and companionship, she gently rests her head on her foster dad, shows her paw for more love and then dances about in delight. But what delights Chicks even more is when he’s getting ready to take her for a walk, harness in hand, causing her excitement to build until she responds with “happy hops!” Highly and happily energetic, she adores her walks, walking well on her leash after some initial tugging, enjoys engaging with all dogs of assorted sizes and gets along wonderfully with children. Motivated by food and love, and fond of Milk Bone dog treats, Chicks currently knows “come,” “down,” “off” and “no,” and is crate trained and almost fully house-trained. Now what this cheerful and cuddly charmer craves is an especially active, affectionate and equally cuddly family to complete her training, including her commands, in return for her own enduring loyalty and love. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
