Story
Meet PONZI! 🐾 Ponzi through no fault of his own find his little cute self on a euthanasia list in a small rural shelter due to lack of space. We could not let that happen and he is ever grateful. This guy is a pleasure to come home to for his foster mom. Always there with an excited smile on his face. He is just happy to have somewhere safe to land until his forever home comes along. Anyone would be very happy to call this pup their own. 💖 Personality: Full of personality, goofy, playful and energetic. Ponzi has a wonderful disposition. He takes correction wonderfully and seems to be a very quick learner. Ponzi gets along with all his foster mates and anyone that comes his way. He never meets a stranger. And is a quick heart stealer. Ideal Home: PONZI would do great in a family that has space to roam and explore, and maybe even another doggy sibling to make friends with. He would also be just fine as a single pup. This fella is super easy. If you are looking for a life-long companion and friend Ponzi is perfect for you. If you’re ready to give Ponzi a lifetime of belly rubs, treats, and a cozy bed, please reach out! 🐶💕 Once adopted he will travel via the Rescue Transport to her new family. They travel each and every weekend from Memphis, Tennessee to the north east, delivering pups along the way as far north as West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Transport is an additional $185. If you would like to make this cutie part of your family please follow the link below to our adoption application. Our turnaround time is typically less than 24 hours so please be prepared before you submit your application. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

Story
Obi is a 5.5-year-old Border Collie Shepherd mix. He is up to date on vaccinations and neutered. He is kid and cat-friendly. He is kennel-trained. He would love a home where he is the only dog and he has a yard! Obi can be difficult on the leash which is why a yard would suit him best. He’s been through a lot over the years before we brought him into our family and he takes a bit of time to adjust but comes out of his shell wonderfully and loves to give all the kisses! We unfortunately had to move and our new apartment does not allow dogs his size. He is a true joy and sweetheart to have in our lives and we would love to see Obi go to a home that will cherish him as much as we have. If you or someone you know is interested in fostering or adopting Obi please call/text me at 720-314-7975. This dog is a courtesy listing and not one of our dogs. Please contact the email listed in this post. November 6, 2024, 12:43 pm

Story
Hi, I'm Daize. I'm a 1 year old Border Collie mix. My foster says I'm a sweet girl and do really well at their house. I'd love a home where I can love my humans, play, and feel safe! I'm a little shy at first but warm up easily. I just need someone who is willing to give me the time and patience that it takes for me to adjust to a new home.  If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to reserve me for an appointment. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis areas twice monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas. Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! All of our pets are neutered or spayed, have vaccinations appropriate for their age, treated with flea/tick/heartworm prevention, dewormed and dogs are also microchipped. #adoptdontshop ##2184922##

Story
Hi there, I'm Klover! I'm still young and full of life, always ready for a game of fetch or a long walk. I've got energy to spare, but don't worry, I'm smart too! I learn new tricks quickly and I'm always eager to please. I'm also really friendly. I love meeting new people and I get along well with other dogs. Playtime is my favorite, whether it's a game of tug-of-war or just running around. But after a day of fun, I love nothing more than cuddling up for a good night's sleep. So why should you adopt me? Well, besides my sweet nature and playful spirit, I promise to be your loyal companion, your best friend, and the best part of your day, every day. I can't wait to meet you! Hi there, I'm Brody. I'm a handsome young boy just under a year. I was found as a stray so the shelter doesn't know much about me prior to here. I'm sweet and take a little bit to warm up to people. Story
Panda is good with other dogs, cat curious, and good with kids but does like to play since he is still a puppy so kids over 8 recommended. Panda would thrive in a home with another active dog and work from home pawrents. Extremely smart. Needs stimulation. House trained & uses dog door. Current on all vaccinations. Completed a one month board and train with the Colorado Dept of Corrections which allows owners weekly maintenance classes free of charge! Panda and his pitbull friend found themselves abandoned on the streets of San Antonio, Texas. They were trying to take shelter from the brutal 100 degree summers underneath cars in an apartment complex. Instead of being shown compassion, one of the residents were threatening to end their lives! We found ourselves in a unfortunate position, after hearing how little the community was helping. A member of our foster program in Texas stepped up to help. He knows basic commands and LOVES toys! Even though he was born in Texas he is a Colorado dog at heart! Ready to live his best life and explore right along next to you! He is going to be a medium sized dog.  ##2088029##

You can check the list of puppies attending the open event by checking the event: https://www.facebook.com/MAMCORescue  At MAMCO we understand that in order to continue rescuing moms and babies, we must stretch our finances as far as we are able. For this reason we use variable adoption pricing. By assigning higher adoption fees to high demand moms and puppies, we are able to rescue more families in need. The money raised through these adoptions acts as a benefactor to moms and puppies in our care who require expensive veterinary treatments, have behavioral issues, or need more time to find a home. We often reduce the adoption fees on these harder-to-place moms and puppies to help them find forever families. Adoption fees vary. Applications can be filled out at mamcorescue.org. Story
Thriving in her foster home, 7-month-old Target, the former stray, is finally safe. At 33 pounds, this white and tan beauty percolates with puppy enthusiasm and energy, sweetness and sociability. Tender and gentle, she loves being petted, cuddled and snuggled by her foster mom, resting her head on her, showing her paw for love and returning her affection by giving her hugs. A true people pup, Target also loves wagging her tail and greeting everyone she meets and was endearingly friendly towards the children she encountered at the dog park. Learning all about boundaries, she enjoys engaging with dogs of all sizes, walking and running with her foster mom, improving her leash skills along the way, and going swimming. Famously fond of tennis balls, peanut butter lick mats and treats, motivated by love and food, Target currently knows “come” and “no,” is almost fully crate trained (Benebones inside her crate help), and is at work on both her house-training and puppy manners. Now all Target needs is an adoring and active home without cats to continue her socialization, perfect her manners and complete her training, including her commands, in exchange for a lifetime of happy hugs and a love like no other.  Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. Story
Cherishing her second chance at forever is charismatic 14-month-old Canela! The 29-pound black beauty and former stray may be shy at first, but once she feels safe, she reveals how sweet she truly is. Thriving now on her fosters parents’ attention, she loves snuggling and cuddling with them, resting her head on them and giving them her paw to ask for even more loving. Frisky and friendly and extremely energetic, Canela engages easily and eagerly with dogs of assorted sizes and enthusiastically burns off her excess energy by playing with toys, playing fetch and going for walks, walking best with a harness and leash. Motivated by food and treats and as bright as the proverbial button, she currently knows “sit,” “stay,” “down,” “no,” “off” and is working on “leave it,” “place” and “come.” Diligently at work on her doggy manners, crate trained and almost fully house-trained, Canela’s ideal home is one with another playful pup and especially active adopters who will perfect her manners and complete her training in exchange for a lifetime of nightly cuddles and snuggles. Story
Meet Bailey, a loving and loyal companion who's ready to find his new forever home! He’s a unique mix of Australian Shepherd, Corgi, and Border Collie, with a heart as big as his adorable, chubby frame. Though he’s a little on the chunky side, that just means there’s more of him to love! He's house-trained, great with kids, and absolutely adores his best friend, a black lab who he’s been inseparable from. BooBoo is a true snuggler who loves to sleep in bed with you, showering you with affection and loyalty. He’s a treat lover and will do almost anything for a tasty reward! While he can be a bit protective with other dogs, especially males, and isn’t always comfortable with strangers, he’s a devoted family member who thrives in a calm, loving home. He does shed a lot, but his beautiful coat makes it worth it. Unfortunately, due to allergies in our household, we are looking for a new home for him where he can continue to be the affectionate, energetic companion he is.
