Story
Domino is a very sweet, 50 pound energetic herding breed mutt that is about 6 years old. She loves people - adults and children, and she LOVES to run. One of her favorite things in the world is just cuddling up next to her favorite humans (which is anyone!), receiving love. She is great with basic training skills like sit, fetch, stay, leave it, and is good with recall. Domino also LOVES her crate - it is her safe space, and she does very well sleeping in it at night, or if she needs a break. She has never had any major issues with her health, aside from some issues with her teeth and minor bumps and bruises from romping around. While she is absolutely fantastic with people, she can be touch and go with other dogs. She was brought up extremely socialized with other dogs, but as she has gotten older, her behavior around other dogs has become less predictable. We have had issues between her and our other pets, and we feel like she may flourish to live her best life with another family.

Story
Buttercup is a 1.5-2 year old Border Collie mix weighing about 35lbs.   Buttercup was dumped at a shelter in New Mexico with 2 day old puppies.  Some crummy human actually dumped a terrified, exhausted, brand new Momma at the shelter to die alone trying to protect her puppies.  When the shelter moved her into a cage with her puppies she tried to protect them (obviously) so the shelter immediately deemed her unadoptable, but was going to adopt out her puppies at less than a week old.  Keep in mind, these shelters in this area are dealing with almost zero government funding and hundreds of dogs being dumped on them, so this is not their fault.   We couldn't let Buttercup die this way and we didn't want her to be separated from her puppies that she loved so much.  We scrambled to get a transport together to get them all here to CO where they would be safe.  Once the puppies were old enough Buttercup went to our board and train program since we had to do our do dilligence since the shelter had deemed her "aggressive".  The day she went to our trainer, our trainer called us within the hours and said Buttercup was the sweetest happiest girl and she did not need board and train, and could be put up for adoption.  We decided to go through with the training program since she was already there and we knew it would set her up for success no matter what.  We do strongly believe in training and will require her adopters take our partner training classes just so they can learn more about dogs and learn about everything Buttercup has learned while she has been here.  Buttercup is a wonderful pup.  She has an amazing zest for life and is just always so happy and social.  She gets along great with all other dogs and people.  She has a good amount of energy just like most Border Collies but she also loves affection and loves to snuggle.  She is everybody's favorite who meets her.  She would be a perfect dog for daily runs/hikes, a doggy playmate, an someone who wants a dog to love and snuggle! What’s not to like with delightful Pearl ? She’s adorable and has THE sweetest disposition ! She’s happiest in the company of another young dog : playing and wrestling ! She loves a long energetic walk and then she’s more than ready to hang out with you ! Her favorite place is exploring Open Space trails where she can run free - with perfect recall!! Pearl is treat driven and seems easy to train! Great in the car. She would do best in an active home with another playful dog her size.  If you're interested in meeting Pearl please fill out an application at www.thegooddogrescue.org (If you already have an approved application, please email thegooddogrescueadoptions@gmail.com with your interest in her!) Story
We adopted Mickey from a rescue when he was about 2-3 months old. He is almost 7 years old now. We say his birthday is Thanksgiving every year, because that is our best guess for about when he was born. We had a baby in February and he doesn't like kids due to their sporadic movements, so it's time we find him a new, loving home now that our baby girl is on the move. Mickey loves to be outside. He has always had a doggie door so he can go outside as he pleases, and he loves that freedom. He enjoys napping in the sun. He likes to run, and likes to be chased in the backyard. He enjoys his daily walks. He likes cuddling but prefers to sleep alone. He is calm and very loving around his "mom" or "dad" but get very anxious when visitors come over so we keep him in a room away from visitors if we have people over. He needs to be in a home with no little children because he doesn't like unpredictability, especially in movement. He gets along with some dogs and not others.

Story
Lucky is a 4,5 years old rescue dog, we got him through a shelter in Boulder at age 1,5-2 y old. He is a good dog and trained by Blackpaw dog trainer. He never damages anything in the house, he sleeps in his crate, house trained for a long time. When he knows the people he is very good but he needs to be introduced properly. He is very good with my family, including 3 years old granddaughter, but he can be very protective of all of us when stranger comes. My husband has Alzheimer's and he is his dog and he is not handling him well and dog is getting very protective of him. He gets into fights with other dogs to protect him. He does listen to me but not him. That's why we want to rehome him to get him an owner he will respect and treat him properly. We love him very much but this is better for us and Lucky.
