Story
Meet sisters Boo and Bop! They are 1 year old Collie and Beagle mixes. Boo wears a medium-length black and white coat with tan on her face and back legs. Bop sports a medium length white and tan coat. Boo has reached her mature weight of 31 pounds and Bop has reached her mature weight of 45 pounds. Boo can be a little shy at first, but once she warms up her radiating personality will show! Bop is a very calm and relaxed dog that loves to lay around and nap, while Boo is full of energy and loves to run around. They both do really well on a leash, and they get along wonderfully with other dogs. When they get excited, Boo does a little whine and Bop snorts like a pig. They are both very sweet and loving dogs and deserve a great home. Adopt one (or both!) of these sisters and let them fill your life with love and laughter! (ME, 10/5/24)**It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption fee: $395 covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip, and an Alabama State Health Certificate. Transport, if needed, is $160. We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. Adoption fees for Hope dogs and those who have been at rescue for prolonged amounts of time are reduced to $150 plus a $100 transport fee, as notated in their listings.November 12, 2024, 4:09 pm

Story
Meet Edgar, a 1-year-old mix of Border Collie and Australian Kelpie tipping the scales at 23 pounds. He wears a medium coat of black and tan which he loves having stroked. And his eyes are quite unique; one is brown while the other (the left) is half brown and half blue! Beautiful eyes with excellent vision in both! His sweet, friendly nature is only outshone by his playful, goofy spirit that lights up any room! But don't let his playful side fool you. Edgar is equally content curled up for a quiet evening at home. He's a wonderful blend of fun and affection, always ready to make you smile or lend a comforting paw. Edgar's not just looking for a home, he's looking for a family to share his boundless love and joy! Adopt Edgar and let his playful spirit and sweet nature fill your home with laughter and love. Story
Need to rehome older dog. Deserves to live inside of house and get lots of love and attention and go for long walks. Still has so much life ahead of him - living in backyard barely getting any attention and walks is just not for him. He was house trained but may need to be retrained. Loves to hang out anywhere his humans are. Enjoys walking, can take him on 10 walks and he'll still be enthusiastic. Loves hikes. Should be only dog "child" or paired with a dog with similar temperament. Preferably a family that's active and outdoors. That can give him love and attention throughout the day.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If you are interested in any of the FFOSK9 pups,  the first step is to fill out an application at  http://www.ffosk9resq.org/info/adoption .     Blaze is a sweet tiny little boy that weighed in at 6 pounds at approximately 9 weeks old. He is very sweet and wants to cuddle with his people. He is the more laid back and quiet one of the litter but still very playful. We believe he is a border collie mixed but his mom is a small breed. We just don't know what breed. He could grow to be as big as 35 pounds.   Adoption fee is $325 non-refundable,  and with all unaltered pups due to age restrictions, there will be a $75 reimbursement fee that will be sent to the vet of your choice once an appointment is made. There is a mandatory spay/neuter clause in the adoption agreement.   Blaze will be ready to go to his forever home Dec 18, 2024 after he has had his third round of DA2PPv vaccine.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  We are a home based, not for profit organization in Northeast Alabama that helps place forgotten and unwanted pets in forever homes.  We are an all volunteer, 501(c)3  organization.  We rescue pets from high kill shelters, prior to being euthanized, as well as strays and unwanted pets. We do not adopt to "outside only" homes nor do we adopt to anyone who wishes to crop, dock, or do any other alterations except the spaying and neutering of their pets.  All pets are completely vetted, up to date on all vaccines, and given rabies certificates.   December 3, 2024, 3:41 pm
