This Adoption fee includes: mandatory spay/neuter which will be done before you can take your dog or puppy home with you; basic canine immunizations (DHPP-CPV & Bordatella Intranasal); de-wormings; one-year rabies vaccination if old enough; heartworm test if over five months old; microchip from 24-Pet Watch; certificate for free health examination at your participating veterinarian; and a goodie bag chocked full of information, toys, and more.  (If a dog is sponsored or has a waived or lower fee, that info will be provided at the point of adoption to the approved adopter).   The first step is to our Adoption Application here:  https://elmorehumane.org/adoption-application-online-form2.html .   IMPORTANT – we respond to your emailed applications and queries via email back to you.  Please make sure you have either added our email  (hselco@bellsouth.net)  to your contact list or that you routinely check your SPAM folder for our response just to be safe. All of our dogs are housed in private homes, we do not have a store or a shelter.  We do not show dogs to interested parties until they have an approved adoption application.  If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please fill out an adoption application on our website www.helpingshepherdsofeverycolor.com/adoption-application  You may also find us on facebook:  Helping Shepherds of Every Color Rescue. 6/24/22 Ducky is a very sweet boy.  He likes dogs, cats, chickens, kids, and yes, even ducks.  He is brand new to rescue but we do know that he is a sweet dog.  He is initially timid around men.   2/21/24  Ducky is still in the rescue.  He is a smart dog and very sweet. Just because a dog looks like a German Shepherd mix doesn't mean it is.  We found out that Ducky is actually mostly heeler.  That's OK he needed a place to land, and we had room.
