Charity is an engaging girl with a happy, lively attitude. Although not one for sitting still, she does know her sit command and also walks well on leash. She is eager to learn more and earn those training treats! After all, she loves you and she wants to please you! Yes, Charity is looking for an active partner and fast friend. She gets along with most dogs, but any dog friend needs to understand that she plays rough and loud. Story
Need to rehome older dog. Deserves to live inside of house and get lots of love and attention and go for long walks. Still has so much life ahead of him - living in backyard barely getting any attention and walks is just not for him. He was house trained but may need to be retrained. Loves to hang out anywhere his humans are. Enjoys walking, can take him on 10 walks and he'll still be enthusiastic. Loves hikes. Should be only dog "child" or paired with a dog with similar temperament. Preferably a family that's active and outdoors. That can give him love and attention throughout the day.

Story
Meet sisters Boo and Bop! They are 1 year old Collie and Beagle mixes. Boo wears a medium-length black and white coat with tan on her face and back legs. Bop sports a medium length white and tan coat. Boo has reached her mature weight of 31 pounds and Bop has reached her mature weight of 45 pounds. Boo can be a little shy at first, but once she warms up her radiating personality will show! Bop is a very calm and relaxed dog that loves to lay around and nap, while Boo is full of energy and loves to run around. They both do really well on a leash, and they get along wonderfully with other dogs. When they get excited, Boo does a little whine and Bop snorts like a pig. They are both very sweet and loving dogs and deserve a great home. Adopt one (or both!) of these sisters and let them fill your life with love and laughter! (ME, 10/5/24)**It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption fee: $395 covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip, and an Alabama State Health Certificate. Transport, if needed, is $160. We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. Adoption fees for Hope dogs and those who have been at rescue for prolonged amounts of time are reduced to $150 plus a $100 transport fee, as notated in their listings.November 12, 2024, 4:09 pm

Story
Meet Edgar, a 1-year-old mix of Border Collie and Australian Kelpie tipping the scales at 23 pounds. He wears a medium coat of black and tan which he loves having stroked. And his eyes are quite unique; one is brown while the other (the left) is half brown and half blue! Beautiful eyes with excellent vision in both! His sweet, friendly nature is only outshone by his playful, goofy spirit that lights up any room! But don't let his playful side fool you. Edgar is equally content curled up for a quiet evening at home. He's a wonderful blend of fun and affection, always ready to make you smile or lend a comforting paw. Edgar's not just looking for a home, he's looking for a family to share his boundless love and joy! Adopt Edgar and let his playful spirit and sweet nature fill your home with laughter and love. Story
🌼Meet Cookie Cookie is a six month old Border Collie mix. She was saved by a kind family after being hit by a car. She is fully recovered from her injuries now and is ready to find her new family. 💕 Cookie is not only beautiful but is incredibly sweet as well. She is kind and gentle and just wants to be loved. She can be a bit shy at first but quickly warms up once she meets you and will stick by her person like glue. Cookie would be a great family dog with older children or the perfect companion. Due to her breed mix she needs space to run so a fenced in yard or a home with acreage would be ideal. 🐾 If Cookie sounds like the one you have been waiting for, please submit the adoption application. Sweet Cookie deserves to be loved and spoiled for the rest of her life! 🥰

Story
Meet Sheesh, an energetic and happy-go-lucky Border Collie/Lab mix, who is as cute and silly as her name!  Sheesh was found as a stray with her brother Ozy, and we’re estimating the siblings to be about 8 to 9 months old. While her age is a little uncertain, her breed is much more clear. According to newly arrived breed-test results, Sheesh is half Border Collie and a quarter Labrador Retriever, along with small amounts of a few other breeds. She has a beautiful, somewhat-long and wavy coat with a fluffy tail.  Sheesh is super friendly with adults, kids and other dogs. There’s truly not a mean bone in her body. She would do best in a home with another young and/or playful dog. She has the potential to annoy an older dog who doesn’t like to play.  Sheesh’s hobbies include chewing on ice cubes and playing fetch. She loves chasing the ball and brings it back most of the time. She could be a fetch expert with a little training. Sheesh also loves water. We’re not sure if she can swim, but she enjoys walking through sprinklers on walks and looks so happy when she’s all wet! She sits calmly in the bath tub during bath time.  Sheesh is an active older puppy and would love an active family who wants to take her on adventures. A playful doggy sibling and large fenced-in yard would be an added bonus!  Sheesh is very smart and goes to her crate when she hears the word “crate.” She sleeps quietly in her crate at night and is solidly potty trained. She currently weighs 40lbs and we’re guessing she won’t surpass 50 lbs, so she’ll be a nice, manageable size when full grown.” If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.cognitoforms.com/DixieGirl1/PetAdoptionApplicationForm2 Most of our are pets are fostered in Southern foster homes and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel.
