Hi I'm Bunny! I'm sweet as sugar and have a gentle disposition. I have a bit of a limp from an old injury, but that doesn't slow me down, I just love going for walks and being with people! On top of all that, I have a strikingly beautiful white speckle in my dark coat - that makes me a real eye catcher!! I was lucky enough to go on a sleep-over at the home of an Ark volunteer, and got to show off what great house manners I have! I showed them that I ride great in a car, that I know how to use a dog-door and even better, I know when to use it! We just don't know what breed. He could grow to be as big as 35 pounds. Meet Zelly! Zelly really has quite the story. He came to Hound Dog Holler from Memphis Animal Services and needed help quick. He had skull fractures from being beaten with a shovel. Although this was a sad part of Zelly's life, everything is looking up for him now! He's been at the farm since early May and is enjoying life. Trusting people has taken some time, but he's getting better at it. He does well with other dogs too once he gets to know them. Zelly was born for the farm life. Morty is most likely a 2021 model. We were curious about his genetic makeup so we did an Embark DNA test on him and he is 50% Australian Cattle Dog, 13% Rottweiler, and some other mixes stirred in. As a Cattle Dog, he is athletic and wants to herd things, including dog buddies, which they don't tend to like. He does well with one other pet, preferably a female, his size and energy level, or older dogs that just ignore him wanting to play. He loves walks and does well on a leash. He could be a great jogging companion. He is very focused on his people and honestly gets jealous. He can be an attention hog. He will learn anything for a treat or a pat on the head. He loves toys and fetch. He still occasionally jumps up to say hi, so small children may not be for him. He is fully vetted, neutered and chipped. Are you his family? He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Vigo is good around older children! No younger children, farm animals, cats, or dogs, due to his reactivity! Vigo bit the owner’s 8 month old child. Their nanny was watching her and they told them to not let her get close to Vigo. However, she crawled onto his bed while he was laying down and he bit her on the face. The owner is surrendering him because of his aggression towards their baby. He needs to go ASAP! If you think you can provide a great home for Vigo, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions.
