Story
Please contact Glenda (fairydogmother@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Hi, I’m Riley! I’m a 1y 4m old Golden Retriever, Border Collie, Poodle mix. I’m mostly border collie though. I’m the perfect size weighing about 48lbs. I’m a very sweet and loving girl. I can be calm but most of the time I have tons of energy. I love to run around outside to get my zoomies out. And boy do I get the zoomies before bed, so a fenced yard is a must. I’m really good at catching balls. And love tugging and fetching my toys. This combined with mental stimulation helps but doesn’t drain enough of my energy. So I need my human to have tons of energy too. If you like to run or hike, I would LOVE to run and hike with you.   I’d also be good at agility training and would love to learn. I’m good with dogs, cats and kids. When it comes to cats I’m too cat friendly so I need to be desensitized. I’m potty trained. I ride well in a car. I love to meet new people and dogs. I’m crate trained, yet do fine having free reign of the house when left alone. I still have things to learn but already know many commands. And I’m highly treat motivated and really smart, so training will be a walk in the park. I know sit, down, drop it, come, off, calm (that’s where I’m sitting or laying down completely still), find (you can say find and the name of my toy and I’ll find it for you. Every toy gets a name and I remember them all), leave it, home and stay. I’m working with duration to make those last three solid. I leave it before I eat. And I stay before I go outside. If you say “out of the kitchen I’m cooking”, I’ll leave the kitchen so I’m not in your way. As for tricks I know shake, give me five, up high down low, I’m too slow and I am working on spin. Some of my favorite foods are cucumbers and apples, whole please. And blueberries, fresh or frozen. If you’re looking for a very sweet, cute and highly energetic dog to share your life with, then look no further cuz I’m your girl!  I am spayed, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative and on monthly heartworm and flea prevention.  My adoption fee is a tax deductible donation to the rescue in the amount of $800.  I have a video on YouTube.  Look for The Lilly Project--Riley's Story.February 3, 2025, 10:01 pm

Story
Ella is an almost 3 years old border collie/shih tzu mix. She is around 25 pounds. Unfortunately, her owners are not able to give her and her sister Remy the time that they need. Ella is a loving and sweet girl. She is shy when first meeting new people and would either do best being adopted with her sister or with a family that has another confident dog. Ella is an energetic dog and will need an active family. She does good with children but has knocked over their young kids out of excitement, so for the safety of children we think she would do best with older kids. If you are interested in adopting Ella, please fill out an application on our website forrescue.net. She is being fostered in Huntsville, AL.

Story
Rosa is a sweet female mixed breed that I rescued 3 years ago. She loves females and some males if she senses they are kind. She longs for love and attention and is lovable. She enjoys retrieving her toys and has lots of energy for a 5 year old dog. She has no health issues. She was found abandoned in Houston TX with 4 puppies. The adoption center told me she was not comfortable with dogs because she was protective over her pups . In time I learned that she became vicious and wild when seeing a dog or cat. I am unable to control her on the leash. She would do wonderful in a home with a fenced in yard and longs to be outside and play all day. When I adopted her I had the help of my daughter, but she has moved to another state. She has never eliminated in the house ever. She walks well on a leash , until she sees a dog or cat and then she becomes very reactive.
