Story
Baby is part of a bonded pair with Mitzi. They must be adopted together. They are retired barn cats looking for a warm barn home where they can spend their senior years. Make way for the sweetest submarine you'll ever see! Baby's tail is always up and ready to lead you to the next adventure. She's also a talker and will happily meow to you about how her day has been. Baby's estimated birth date is March 2014, but don't underestimate her! She can keep up with younger cats and spends her nights exploring all over her home, batting toys along the way. She is bonded with her sister, Mitzi, and the two often pounce on each other like kittens. Baby is not picky about her food, but enjoys a combination of wet and dry, and prefers your attention over any treat. Baby is spayed, current on vaccines, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and has been microchipped. Her adoption fee is sponsored. She must be adopted together with her sister, Mitzi. The two would do best in a quiet home with experienced cat owners.

Story
Meet Yawoong-ee, also known as Meow! This handsome guy has a curious spirit and a touch of shyness. Meow can be a bit cautious with strangers at first, but given time, he warms up and reveals his affectionate side. Meow has experience living with children and will likely enjoy a home with older children and/or adults. At night, he becomes a lively explorer, ready to play and discover. Meow is searching for a patient and loving home where he can continue to thrive. He would benefit from a cat-savvy family. Yawoong-ee has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). Yawoong-ee can be adopted as a solo cat, or live with other cats (FIV+ is recommended, though living with FIV- cats can be done); this is up to the adopter. If the adopter has any questions about bringing an FIV+ cat into their home, we recommend they speak with their veterinarian.Yawoong-ee is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take him home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff! If you`d like to meet our available pets, please check the `shelter information` box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Story
Hi there! My name is Bear, I am probably one of the most “dog” cats you’ve ever met. I love all people, am super energetic and curious as hell. I’m not afraid of anything and will keep you company day and night. Unfortunately, my current pawrents have another cat and dog. When they adopted me, the thought I would be a good fit. The behaviors of the puppy and cat do not mesh well with my brave and bold nature, and I do not get the attention I need. Thats why I would need to be adopted into a home with either a trained dog, an accepting cat that will hold its ground, or ideally one without any other pets. I am a little over a year old, have the cutest white marks on my belly and love laying on you and taking a nap! I also am extremely food motivated!

Story
Hi there, I’m Autumn. I’ve had a bit of a rough start in this world, living outdoors and having litters of kittens before I, myself was an adult cat, many of which didn’t make it. I was recently spayed and saved from the difficult outdoor life. Boy, am really getting used to warm cushy blankets, regular tasty meals and pets from my new human friends! I also love scratch posts and playing. I’ll admit, I can be a bit of a "potty mouth" at times, hissing at the other two kitties in my current living situation, but I wouldn’t hurt a fly. Because I’ve had a difficult start, I’m slow to trust but I can’t wait until I find my forever home and humans who are going to love and care for me for the rest of my life. Could that be you?
