Story
Frosty is a special 10 yr old Bichon Frise mix who has had a few trust issues in the past. When she came into foster, she needed time to adjust to her new surroundings and wasn't sure she could trust the people who were fostering her. With a great deal of patience and love, she has blossomed into a loving dog who now likes to cuddle with her foster mom on the couch or in bed. At first, she did not like her face, neck or near her tail touched. Touching these areas brought out fear and she could get snappy. But, over time, Frosty has learned that good things happen when people touch her. Her stress and fear have subsided significantly. When approached properly and positively, she welcomes human interactions.     She has been fully vetted and is up to date on her vaccines.  Going to the groomer is very stressful for Frosty so she is given medication to calm her before she goes but other than that she does not receive any medication other than her flea and tick meds.     Frosty will sit, stay, and will come quickly back to you when called.  She loves exploring the backyard and loves spending time there with her person.  She is housetrained but also uses pee pads when needed.   Frosty eats wet food twice a day due to the lack of teeth and also loves things like liver treats, watermelon, strawberries and broccoli.  Mention the word treat and she comes running to see what you have for her.   Frosty loves to go for walks and as soon as she sees the leash, sits quietly until you clip it onto her harness.  She  actually prances rather than walks. Using a harness is best for her as she sometimes pulls when she first starts out.  Other dogs, traffic and other people walking or riding do not bother her at all.  She is only interested in the next good smell and where she is going.  Frosty loves going for car rides and once you are on your way settles down and goes to sleep.   Frosty has been in the company of women and men but makes friends easier with women. An experienced owner with lots of time and patience would be the best fit for Frosty. Once she has trust in her caregiver, she will lavish you with love, loyalty and companionship       December 12, 2025, 10:30 am

Story
Bentley is a sweet, gentle soul with a heart full of love. At 15 years young, he was surrendered due to medical needs, but despite his challenges, he remains a joyful and resilient companion. Bentley has a heart murmur, but after a visit to a cardiologist, he was diagnosed with degenerative valvular disease, which requires no treatment — a relief for Bentley and his future family! In addition to his heart, Bentley’s eyes are in need of some care. He is blind in both eyes and struggles with dry eye and cherry eye, but he’s not letting that slow him down. He recently saw an ophthalmologist, and with the right medication, he’s living life to the fullest. Bentley is incredibly patient when it comes to his daily eye treatments, and his future family will need to be comfortable administering them. Bentley is on the lookout for a warm, loving home where he can enjoy slow, peaceful walks and snuggle up in a cozy bed. If you're ready to offer Bentley the care and love he deserves, he’s ready to bring endless affection into your life.

Story
Romeo, Romeo, where art thou, Romeo? If you're searching for a handsome little guy to steal your heart, look no further! Romeo is a neutered male Shih Tzu with a sweet disposition to match his charming name. Romeo has a few health needs that require special care. He has allergies, which are managed with daily medication and a vegetarian diet. Since starting this routine, his skin has greatly improved, and we've even been able to reduce the frequency of his medicated baths. Romeo also has dry eye and will need daily eye drops long-term to keep him comfortable. This sweet boy enjoys walks, making friends with calm dogs, and sharing quality cuddle time. Once he's had his exercise, Romeo's ideal afternoon involves lounging on the couch next to his favorite human. Romeo needs a patient adopter who understands that building trust takes time. He requires a muzzle for applying topical medications until a bond of trust is established. With consistent, gentle care, Romeo will flourish into the loving companion he's meant to be. Romeo is looking for a dedicated and peaceful home where he can spend his golden years surrounded by love and comfort. Could that be with you? Romeo has a few health needs that require special care.
