**IF THIS LISTING IS STILL POSTED THIS DOG IS STILL AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION. NO NEED TO EMAIL ASKING IF THE DOG IS AVAILABLE. PLEASE READ THROUGH THIS BIO THOROUGHLY AS INFORMATION ON HOW TO APPLY IS CONTAINED IN THIS LISTING** For Adoption: Sabrina! Please read our dog bios carefully to be sure that the dog you are applying for suits your family and lifestyle. We at PDR believe in the benefits of post-adoption training for our dogs and their families. This allows for continued socialization, learning and helps to create a well-mannered and balanced dog. Post-adoption training is a requirement in our adoption process. To apply for adoption and for more information on our process and requirements, visit our website at https://pounddog.ca/adoption-info/. Sabrina is a sweet and loving 5 year old Bichon Frise. She is a total snuggle bug who wants nothing more than to cuddle up in my lap. She weighs 11lbs. She is very sweet and affectionate. Sabrina is coming from a puppy mill where she was used for breeding. We are happy to have her in our care now and put her mill days behind her. Only good things ahead for this beautiful dog! Sabrina currently lives with two other dogs and a cat. She has been politely inquisitive with our cat and they are often found gently going nose to nose and checking in on each other. She does enjoy being with the other dogs. She has especially bonded to our cockapoo and will enjoy snuggling up with her for naps. She has been able to walk separately from them but she still often checks in with the other dogs if she is unsure of something. She has also met our parent’s dog who she was friendly with. She has never shown any aggression or reactivity to another dog. We are looking for a forever home for her that has another dog in it as this is what is best for her and her confidence. She really mentors off of the other dogs and learns so much from them. Sabrina has not had the opportunity to meet small children and as a mill dog who is nervous and a flight risk, she will not be suitable for a home with children in it Older teens who are calmer natured would be fine for her. Sabrina is still nervous and reacts to sudden movements or loud noises typically by cowering in fear. She has never shown any sign of aggression. She is still learning the world around her and needs a quieter area to do so, a rural home, small town, or quiet subdivision. She will not be suitable for big city living or on a main road or anywhere that is noisy or busy. She has to be considered a flight risk and can never be outside without being securely leashed. Her people also need to ensure that doors and gates are shut securely behind them to keep Sabrina safe. Sabrina has been spayed and all her vetting done. She came to us with terribly rotten teeth and has had a full dentistry, losing many teeth in the process, but she is much happier now and her mouth doesn’t hurt her anymore. Now that she is on top quality food and has access to chew toys she is much better off for healthier oral care. Sabrina has done really well at both crate training and house training. She knows that her crate is her safe place and will often spendtime in there when she needs her own space or isn’t getting pets from anyone. After some noisy nights while getting used to her crate, she has started to quietly sleep through the night. She has done really well with potty training with supervision outside and lots of praise when she goes. She rarely has accidents now. She has not figured out stairs and has only stayed on the main floor other than a couple of steps off of the deck. She would not do well in a home that requires her to navigate stairs to get in and out. A step or two is fine, but a whole flight of stairs will be too much for her. She is still learning to manage stairs and will eventually get there, but this isn’t something she should have to take on immediately upon going to a new home. She could go to a home that has stairs up or down as long as the main family areas are on the main floor and she could be with everyone as they hang out inside like she has in her foster home. Sabrina would do well in a detached home with a secure fenced yard, but would also do well in an apartment that isnt a busy high rise, in a condo, or pretty much any type of housing. She isnt overly noisy and she will do her business out on walks so is pretty adaptable. She just won’t enjoy a very busy building with a lot of people on elevators etc. or a building that requires her to do stairs. Sabrina is good in the car. It took some getting used to and she is still a bit nervous, but she is getting better all the time. Sabrina does well with us on walks. She can be a little on the slower side and get distracted but she does not pull and responds well to praise. We are continuing to increase the distance she can go. She does howl when she gets upset but will often settle down with a quick correction. She will occasionally bark especially if the other dogs bark when someone is at the front door. She is very expressive with her excitement and love. She will get so excited to see me that she bounces on only her back feet with her tail wagging and ready to give so many kisses. She has learned that she loves hanging out on couches and getting all of the love she deserves. Her main commands that she knows are to come, go outside, go pee, and go in her crate. She will take food from us and she responds really well to praise. She will do well with training classes and classes will help a lot with her confidence. Sabrina is a beautiful girl who wants nothing more than to be a part of a family she can love. She has settled into happy family life. She is a snuggly fluff ball who wants to give and receive love. She will be a wonderful companion to anyone who is looking for a sweet, loving, and cuddly little girl. She needs ongoing patience, encouragement, and training to keep building on her confidence and growth. She will make a wonderful companion. **IF THIS LISTING IS STILL POSTED THIS DOG IS STILL AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION. NO NEED TO EMAIL ASKING IF THE DOG IS AVAILABLE. PLEASE READ THROUGH THIS BIO THOROUGHLY AS INFORMATION ON HOW TO APPLY IS CONTAINED IN THIS LISTING** For Adoption: Kinsley! This cute, little ball of fluff is Kinsley! She is a beautiful silky white Mini Poodle X Bichon Frise. She has a bright white, curly coat of hair and tips the scales at a whopping 10lbs. She still has some growing to do but will be a small breed dog. She is a 5-month-old puppy mill discard that Pound Dog rescued and brought into their care. She recently received her vaccinations, spay and her cherry eye fixed. One item to note from her vetting, Kinsley has a corneal scar on her left eye, which is not bothering her, but will create a small blind spot for her. Overall, this will not affect her vision, and she is a happy, healthy and fun-loving puppy who is now looking for her forever family. In just a few short weeks Kinsley has shed her scared, shy exterior and has evolved into a happy, lovable little companion. Kinsley is a confident puppy who is full of charm and personality. She is curious, intelligent and endlessly entertaining. She loves her humans and always wants to be around them, or on them. Kinsley is the epitome of a lapdog. She is happiest snuggling, cuddling and licking her humans. She will lovingly follow you everywhere and will sometimes end up getting in your feet. You will need to be aware of her location so as not to trip. I mention this from experience as I have tripped over this little girl a time or two. Kinsley is currently living with 2 Standard Poodles. Everyone is 5 times her size, but Kinsley is no speed bump; she loves to run and play with the big dogs! She is right in there running, wrestling, tug of war and anything else they throw at her. She keeps her foster sisters on their toes as she zips around running around and under them. She loves play time, however, once done, Kinsley is back to snuggle time. Kinsley has settled well into a regular routine. She sleeps a solid 8 hours and is house trained. She will go to the back door when needing outside but will still need to be watched closely as a young puppy’s attention can wander very quickly. If you miss the chance to let her outside, she could have an accident. Kinsley is still being crate trained and does not always love this process. She will vocalize her unhappiness for a few minutes and then will settle down and go to sleep. We continue to feed her in the crate to reinforce that it is a safe space. She has started to use the crate to her benefit when she steals a toy. She will quickly hide in her crate as she knows all the other dogs can’t fit. She is cute and smart! Kinsley will need to be crated when left alone. She is very inquisitive and can sometimes ger herself into trouble. She considers anything knee level or lower hers to play with, chew on or drag around the house. She is very curious and will explore on her own. Make sure everything is put away and, in its place, or it will end up with Kinsley. I have found socks, shoes, pants, shirts all on her blanket. This little girl will drag everything and anything to her spot in the middle of the living room. Kinsley is considered hypoallergenic as she is a hair breed dog. With this comes regular brushing, bathing, ear cleaning and grooming. Kinsley has handled all her baths and grooming well. I have done a quick groom on her and kept it to under 30 minutes which she handled well. This breed requires regular brushing so that matting does not occur. She is still unsure of brushing, so we go in small increments to get her used to the whole grooming process. Kinsley loves the outdoors and her walks. She is still trying to master the art of leash walking. However, she does now understand that it is not a constraint but gives her access to the outside world. She does require regular encouragement and correction. Kinsley is a smart girl and loves to please her humans. She will be an excellent candidate for advanced training and/or tricks. All of this will help her flourish and grow into a confident little lady. Since Kinsley is a puppy, she needs a family with children 7 years of age or older. She will make a great companion for someone who is home more than away as currently she is crated for a maximum of 3 hours per day. Kinsley is a bit of an old soul who wants to be your companion. She wants to be by your side and will make a fantastic family pet. She has been a joy to foster, and she packs a lot of love into that tiny little body. If you are looking for a fun loving, cuddly couch companion, Kinsley could be your girl! Story
Kkukkku is an approximately 7-year-old male mixed breed of Bichon Frisé and Poodle. He once lived a happy life in a loving home but, unfortunately, experienced the heartbreak of being abandoned. Despite this, he still holds deep trust and affection for people and gets along well with other dogs. He is a bright and gentle pup with a warm personality. Having spent a long time in a home, Kkukkku is expected to adapt relatively quickly to a new environment. Currently, he is accustomed to using pee pads indoors in Korea, but he is intelligent and can quickly learn to do his business outside. Kkukkku is affectionate and enjoys bonding with people, finding great happiness in spending time with them. His lovable charm is special enough to capture anyone’s heart instantly. At present, Kkukkku is staying at a training center, living with other dogs, and displaying excellent social skills. Because he loves people so much, he may bark briefly to get attention when someone approaches. Since he struggles with being alone, he would thrive best in a home where someone is always present, ensuring he feels secure and happy. Kkukkku has a friendly personality and approaches strangers without hesitation—he knows how to be loved. He may bark when confined in a kennel or a small space, but this is understandable behavior and not a major issue overall. As a sweet and loving companion, Kkukkku is ready to create happy moments with his new family. He is eagerly waiting for a family who can share genuine love and care with him.

Story
Meet Bear! A charming 2-year-old neutered male Bichon Frise with a soft, fluffy white coat. Weighing in at 4kg, this little guy is as sweet as he is adorable. At first, Bear might be a bit reserved when meeting new people, but offer him a treat, and he’ll quickly warm up to you! He’s comfortable around both men and women and enjoys gentle affection. He can be picked up safely by placing your arms under his belly. When it comes to other dogs, Bear is a social butterfly! He loves making new friends—big or small—and happily greets both familiar and unfamiliar pups. He’s easygoing and doesn’t have a mean bone in his body, even if another dog tries to provoke him. While he enjoys following other dogs around, he may feel a little overwhelmed by those with high energy levels. Although he hasn’t lived with cats before, we believe he could coexist with them, and we’d be happy to test his compatibility. Bear has a moderate energy level—he enjoys outdoor adventures but is just as happy to relax afterward. However, since he spent his early life in a breeding facility, he has never been on a walk before. He’s still adjusting to wearing a leash and getting used to the sights and sounds of the outside world, so he’ll need some gentle guidance and patience as he learns. This little guy is a dream when it comes to manners! He’s not possessive over food, rarely barks, and doesn’t seem to struggle with separation anxiety. He’s also comfortable in a crate and can use both pee pads indoors and go potty outside. Rescued from a breeding facility in Geoje, Bear is now ready for a loving home where he can continue to grow and experience all the joys of being a cherished companion! Send in your application today through our website https://adoptmekoreanrescue.org/adoption-application/ He can arrive at Vancouver or Toronto airport and may be able to arrive at some US airports (Seattle, LA, NY, Boston etc) where we have flight volunteers. If interested, please contact us. ##2305914##

Story
Meet Knox, a lovable 2-year-old neutered male Bichon Frise with a fluffy white coat and a big heart. Weighing 6.4kg, he’s full of affection and always ready to make new friends! Knox is an absolute people-lover. Whether it’s someone he knows or a complete stranger, he’ll happily trot over, rub against them, and soak up all the attention. Call his name, and he’ll come running, eager to be by your side. He has no preference between men and women, and while he hasn’t had experience with young children, we believe he would do well with them. He’s comfortable being picked up with arms under his belly and even rolls over to show his tummy to new people without hesitation! When it comes to other dogs, Knox is just as friendly. He greets every pup—big or small—with enthusiasm and isn’t shy about showing affection. His playful, easygoing nature allows him to get along with even high-energy dogs, and if another dog tries to provoke him, he simply walks away. However, as much as he enjoys canine company, Knox’s heart truly belongs to people—his favorite place is right by your side! Though he hasn’t lived with cats before, he seems adaptable and could likely coexist with them. Knox has a slightly higher-than-average energy level, which makes sense given that he spent nearly two years confined before finally experiencing freedom. He may be extra excited at first and eager to play until he tires himself out, so regular outdoor activities will be essential for him. Since Knox was rescued from a breeding facility, he has never been on a walk before. Leashes and outdoor noises are still new and a bit scary for him, so he’ll need patience and positive reinforcement as he learns. Knox is a well-mannered pup who doesn’t guard his food from people or other dogs. He does have some demand barking, especially when confined, as he likes to be part of the action. However, if left alone for a while, he settles down. When he’s with people, he’s generally quiet and content. He’s used to both pee pads and outdoor pottying, but he may need a refresher in a new environment. Rescued from a breeding facility in Geoje, Knox is now ready for a loving home where he can experience the joy of companionship and adventure! Send in your application today through our website https://adoptmekoreanrescue.org/adoption-application/ He can arrive at Vancouver or Toronto airport and may be able to arrive at some US airports (Seattle, LA, NY, Boston etc) where we have flight volunteers. Story
Meet Barney! This charming two-year-old Bichon Frise is as sweet as he is fluffy. Weighing in at 4.5kg, Barney is a gentle soul who might be a little shy at first, but with a tasty treat, he warms up quickly and happily accepts affection. He loves people and, once he feels comfortable, will eagerly seek out cuddles. While he’s still getting used to strangers touching him right away, he has no trouble being picked up—even by someone he just met. Though he hasn’t had experience with children under 13, his friendly and gentle nature suggests he’d do well with them. He’s just as happy meeting men as he is meeting women! When it comes to other dogs, Barney is a social butterfly. He’s full of curiosity and enjoys making new canine friends, regardless of whether they’re familiar or complete strangers. He especially loves bigger dogs but also gets along just fine with pups his own size or smaller. Even if another dog tries to pick a fight, Barney prefers to steer clear of trouble. He has no problem keeping up with high-energy playmates, though he sometimes gets knocked around due to his smaller size. Barney hasn’t lived with cats before, but given his gentle and friendly personality, he seems like a great candidate for a multi-pet home. His energy level is moderate—he’s calm indoors but loves to run and play when outside. As a former breeding dog, Barney had never experienced the outside world before his rescue, which means he’s still getting used to wearing a leash and adjusting to the sights and sounds of the outdoors. Walks are a work in progress, and he’ll need a patient adopter to help him gain confidence. Barney has excellent manners—he doesn’t guard his food or toys, rarely barks (except when excited during play), and is comfortable in a kennel. He’s mostly house-trained, preferring to do his business outside, though he may need a refresher when adjusting to a new environment. Rescued from a breeding facility in Geoje, South Korea, Barney is now ready to start a new chapter. With a little patience and a lot of love, he’ll make an affectionate and loyal companion! Send in your application today through our website https://adoptmekoreanrescue.org/adoption-application/ He can arrive at Vancouver or Toronto airport and may be able to arrive at some US airports (Seattle, LA, NY, Boston etc) where we have flight volunteers. Story
YODA is currently being fostered in TEXAS. ***Please note that we would prefer to have YODA and SPARKLES adopted together*** Yoda is apx 8 -9 years old and 12 pounds, a shitzu/chihuahua mix. She was an owner surrender with her “sister” Sparkles. We are hoping they can be adopted together but we do want what is best for them and to find the girls an amazing home. Yoda gets a dental on the 23rd. She is a tripod. Yoda does have some cataracts starting in her eyes, some cloudiness and her teeth are awful so she will most likely lose quite a few toofers. Yoda is a bit more nervous than her sister Sparkles. She is good with cats and dogs but no small children please. Yoda is more shy and needs some time to warm up. She is not an aggressive dog just a bit scared and nervous. This is A LOT of change for her. Yoda is a sweet gentle older girl and she needs her forever home to be a place to rest her head, feel love and security. To get approved please visit our website www.texaschihuahuarescuecanada.org to fill in an application to adopt.
