MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm. Questions can be emailed to rescue@mbrohio.com This 16-pound, 2-year-old Bichon mix is a gentle soul with a soft heart and a quiet way about him. Lennox may start off a bit shy, but once he feels safe, his sweetness shines through. Lennox is potty trained and crate trained—he keeps his crate clean and sleeps peacefully through the night. He enjoys the company of other dogs, doesn't bother cats, and does well with kids, especially when things are calm and gentle. Right now, Lennox isn’t very interested in toys, but that may change as he continues to feel more secure and settled in a home full of love. What he does love? Quiet companionship, gentle reassurance, and being part of the routine. Because this little guy is very fast and still gaining confidence, a fenced yard is required to help keep him safe while he explores at his own pace. Lennox is looking for a family who understands that trust takes time—and who will celebrate every small step forward. If you’re patient, loving, and ready to watch a shy pup blossom into the dog he’s meant to be, Lennox is waiting for you. If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, the first thing to do is submit an application for approval. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the rescue location as it is a privately run boarding, training, & grooming facility. Individual meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters. Age: 2 years Adoption Fee: $400

Story
I adopted Stella one year ago and unfortunately my living situation has changed and I no longer am able to keep her. She is a puppy mill breeder rescue dog and she is afraid of men. My fiance has moved into my home and Stella is very unhappy and scared when he is there. She shakes, growls, and hides when he is around. He has tried everything to get her to warm up to him but she doesn't like men at all. I assume she was probably abused by a man when she was in the puppy mill. She would do best in a home with only females. She has been around kids and she doesn't mind them although she doesn't play with them. I just want to place her in a home where she can feel secure and happy.

I rescued Stella one year ago and unfortunately I need to rehome her as my living situation has changed. Stella was a puppy mill breeder dog and she is scared in general. My fiance moved in and she is afraid of him. She shakes, growls, and hides when he is around despite his efforts to get along with her. She does not like men in general and I believe she was abused by a man when she was in the puppy mill. I feel she would do best in a home with only females as she is much more relaxed and happier around women.

Nate is a 5 month old purebred Bichon. He weighs about 10 lbs. He and his brother Nicki were surrendered by a breeder as left over puppies that didn’t get sold. They are happy, heathy, well socialized and ready for their forever home! They do not have to be adopted together. Unlike Dr Suess’ grumpy Grinch, this Grinch is the exact opposite! He loves everything about Christmas season! From the frequent visitors to the delicious food to the atmosphere and music! Temperament wise, Grinch is as sweet as can be. He loves to be around people. He loves attention and affection. He loves pets from his people. He gets excited when people approach him. He barks for attention if he feels ignored. Anyone who tries to treat him like a senior will face his wrath! Grinch is as spunky and energetic as a year-old puppy. He loves his playtime and his outside time. The prospect of going on walks sends him in a tippy tap frenzy. He wiggles his body into a happy rhythm. He works himself up, sometimes he coughs :/ He pulls with hurried paces initially but then eases into a nice stroll. Grinch walks with his head held up. He is a very proud walker :D He loves to stop and watch the neighbors and trucks. He quietly surveys them. They won’t even know they are being watched :D Grinch likes to leave his calling cards along his walks. Off leash, Grinch stays close to you. He likes to keep you in his view. If you are the needy type and want a pup that loves to be held, Grinch is your guy. Leave a couple of cozy blankets for him if you are going to binge a few shows. He likes to burrow in the blankets. Grinch is about 7 years old, 10lb Shih Tzu. He is looking for a family who would involve him in family activities. Daily walks and cuddles are his thing. Grinch is wonderful with dogs. A laid-back furry sibling is welcome. He does not like unruly pups in his face 😊
