"RAJA"      Out Little Sweet Lamb! Meet Raja, a 12 yr old, 13 lb, male, Bichon Poodle Mix. He's such a Sweetheart! He loves his people; naps in recliner with foster dad but follows his foster mom around the house and lays in between them in bed. He gets along with other dogs and cats too!! He's housebroken but due to his age, needs to go out throughout the day. He would like a fenced yard to wander around but does well on leash. He is Leash Trained. Don't let being 12 yr old fool you! Raja is a moderately active Senior Guy! He lays around a lot, he's a retired guy!, but will whine or bark to get your attention or to go out!  See the video posted on here. One other thing:  he's like a Mountain Goat! He lays on back of sofa to look out of "Nature's Window", and he will climb on chairs and even "table surfs" but will lay on top of table to surprise you to watch you cook!  AHHHH!! His previous parents could no longer care for him so he's looking for another family who will love him forever!   If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Raja’s adoption fee is $175.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. We do not allow shipping & do not transport. You must live within 350 miles from Maryville, IL & able to drive for a meet and greet. We are a 100% foster-based rescue. Applications can be found on our website at gateway4paws.org Bosc is a sweet boy who has been looking for his very own family for over a year but no one has been interested in him. He loves to be held & snuggles when it is storming outside. He is a timid boy and would prefer to just come to you when he wants to. His family should be prepared to give him plenty of time to get used to being around hands, humans, & home activity. Bosc will not walk or do potty business while on a harness and leash. Therefore, he must have a secure physically fenced yard. In time, his family can work on leash training, but he isn't ready for that right now. Bosc enjoys the company of his foster brothers and sisters. He looks to them for guidance so this will be a requirement for Bosc. They also need to be of similar size to Bosc or smaller. Bosc has shown measurable improvement in potty training. While in the house, his mom uses a belly band for him. This allows her the opportunity to correct his behavior without the panic of getting the furniture or carpet soiled. He is doing well, but again, his training needs time, praise, & consistency. Bosc will be the perfect companion to just hang out at home relaxing. Please apply if you are prepared to dedicate time & love to giving Bosc the family he has always deserved.

Walter is a 10-year-old Shih Tzu rescued through the Humane Society. Walter only has his canine teeth left, so he will need canned food for the remainder of his life; but he just had a dental in June, so those remaining teeth are clean and polished! Walter is showing some signs of aging, but he is in very good shape. He tolerates some dogs but would prefer to be the only male, and he would be happiest if he was the star of the show. His favorite thing is going on a treasure hunt to find all of the toys. He brings them back to his bed and makes a huge pile of his bounty. Then he sits on his throne to survey all that he has accomplished. Walter appears to like men more than women. He loves to curl up and snuggle in the recliner on his foster dad's lap, but he refuses to sit long-term with his foster mom. She's trying not to take it personally, but he does follow her around the house. Walter has backpack all packed, and he's ready to travel. He would love to head out and see everything there is to see in the world! He loves looking out the window! Walter was recently groomed and will require regular grooming with his new adopters.
