"RAJA is pretty independent, another dog in home is not needed, however, he can be social with another dog" Meet Raja, a 12 yr old, 13 lb, male, Bichon Poodle Mix. He's such a Sweetheart! He loves his people and likes to initiate play with the other dogs his size. He gets along with cats too!! He's housebroken but does go outside frequently throughout the day. He would like a fenced yard to wonder around but does well on leash. He is Leash Trained. Don't let being 12 yr old fool you! Raja is a moderately active Senior Guy! He lays around a lot, he's a retired guy!, but will whine or bark to get your attention or to go out!  See the video posted on here. One other thing:  he's like a Mountain Goat! He lays on back of sofa, climbs on chairs and even "table surfs" but will lay on top of table to surprise you when you turn around from cooking!  AHHHH!! His previous parents could no longer care for him so he's looking for another family who will love him forever!   If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Raja’s adoption fee is $275.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. She is a sweet calm little girl. She gets along well with other dogs and it would be better for her to have another dog in the house with her. It will take a minute for her to get adjusted to her brother or sister dog but loves having them around after the initial introduction. She prefers little dogs over big dogs. Mimi does not handle stairs. She is working on walking on a leash but needs more time with that. She is also working on potty training but is doing much better. She is great with kids. Mimi is a sweet amazing little girl and would love a forever family to give her lots of love. Mimi will do best in a home with another little dog and a fenced yard. Brody is my granddog. He is sweet and very good natured. My daughter moved into a townhouse that doesn’t allow pets so I inherited him. I’m getting ready to start a new job that will take me away from home 12 hours at a time. He is hypoallergenic. He wears a diaper inside but is almost always dry. He’s always worn a diaper so I have continued. It will sometimes have urine in it. His birthday is 9/28/2012. He is a young 14 yo.

Darlene is a retired breeder Mom.  When she arrived in our care she didn't even have a name, just a number. Darlene is so sweet, learning how to play and loves it! Total snuggle bug!! Almost potty trained. Loves all other dogs and cats! No issues with her at all!!  Darlene will do best in a home with another dog and a fenced yard, as she does not walk on a leash. Approx. DOB: 8/21/17                Approx. Weight: 11 Lbs Adoption Fee: $250 includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness! Catherine (although we have been calling her Sweet Pea) is an incredibly sweet Bichon Frise. She loves to hang around her humans (adults and children). At first she will be nervous around other dogs, especially big ones, but we’re confident she will quickly learn to be comfortable with them. She has definitely grown to love the big dog in her house (Eddie) and now even cuddles with him/walks on top of him to get to other parts of the couch. She was spayed on October 2nd, 2024, and on the same day had a lot of her teeth taken out. But, for some reason she has been preferring to eat her foster brother’s large breed hard food instead of her soft canned food (although she still eats some soft food too.) Potty training has been going slowly. She gets taken out every few hours and knows to pee on the grass, but she also likes to go on hardwood floors. So she is close to being potty trained but still needs reinforcement. She loves to sunbathe and explore the outdoors. She is now learning to handle the leash and is progressing quickly. She likes to stop and sniff a lot but handles gentle redirection well. Overall she is a very very (very) sweet girl. She still carries trauma from her past, but once she gets comfortable, she really comes out of her shell. She loves to be on the bed or couch and hang out with her humans. We also think it would best for her if there was at least one other dog in the house, she might be weary of them at first like she was with Eddie, but we think she is significantly happier with another dog to keep her company. We think she will thrive in any household that gives her a lot of attention, especially cuddles. She truly has been the sweetest pea and we hope she finds a home as great as she is. Catherine will do best in a home with another dog and a fenced yard, as she does not walk on a leash. I'm a 7 year old Bichon and was surrendered by a breeder. My surgery to get spayed and my dental went great, I didn't loose any teeth! I'm learning to do all the normal things dogs do. My foster parents are working with me on potty training, taking me out to potty every 3 to 4 hours. I'm just now starting to take treats from them and wag my tail when they talk to me. Josephine will do best in a home with a fenced yard as well as another little doggie companion.
