Story
Meet Cassian, a one year old Belgian Malinois mix weighing almost 60 pounds. Cassian is a goober and we love him for it! He is very curious about everything going on around him and is brave… As long as you are by his side! Cassian walks pretty well on his leash, but is a bit of a tripping hazard because he sticks like glue to your side most of the time. This boy will be perfect for someone who wants a dog with a decent amount of energy but also wants a Velcro dog that wants to be where they are. Story
Pahtoe is the sweetest elderly gentleman who followed us home one day on a walk (for more than a mile!) He’s wonderful with our other dogs, doesn’t bark, sleeps most of the day, and just generally seems like a happy relaxed guy. We tried hard to find his home but haven’t had any luck - so sad because he’s such a sweetheart! If someone is looking for a loving, low key companion who just wants to cuddle on the couch, this is your guy. We wish we could take care of him but already have many rescues of our own!

A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been received. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Saturday. A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal`s picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is lifesaving. Adopt Don`t Shop.
