NICOLE IS JUST OVER TWO YRS OLD AND WEIGHS ABOUT 49 POUNDS. SHE CAME INTO THE DEVORE SHELTER AT 4 MONTHS OLD AS A STRAY IN FIELD NEAR MUSCOY. A FAMILY IN ORANGE COUNTY ADOPTED HER AND HAVE HAD HER SINCE OCT OF 2022. THEY ARE AN OLDER COUPLE WHO YEARNED FOR A DOG AFTER LOSING THEIR OLDER PET. THEY LOVE AND ADORE NIKKI TO THE MOON. BUT SADLY THE WIFE FELL DOWN AND BROKE HER HIP .HER HUSBAND VISITS HER DAILY AND CAN NO LONGER PAY ATTENTION TO CARE FOR NIKKI. WE ARE LOOKING FOR A GOOD HOME FOR HER. SHE IS VERY SWEET, SPENDS MOST OF THE DAY IN HER GORGOUS BACK YARD, THEN CAN COME IN AND OUT OF THE FAMILY ROOM SLIDER WHERE SHE SLEEPS AT NIGHT INDOORS. SHE IS A SHEPHERD GIRL, VERY LOVING AND PLAYFUL, LOVES TREATS AND TOYS, WALKS WELL ON LEASH, IS SPAYED AND CURRENT ON ALL HER SHOTS. SHE IS MICROCHIPPED TOO. Hello- Spock is my 19-year-old daughter’s dog. She was training him from the time we rescued him from the shelter over six months ago. And she was doing a great job. But she has had mental health issues several years now. Animals are one of the things that keep her “grounded“. Unfortunately, she has been struggling more severely in the last few months And has had to enter a full “residential“ mental health facility. Spock is about 1 1/2 years old. 65 pounds. He was very wary and had not been in a home when we got him, but he is now potty trained, trained for several commands (including basics; sit, lay down, stay and heel) He is very food and toy motivated, and is also loves to fetch. He is very good with other dogs and people. And kids. He has a sweet heart. He wants to please. But with my 19-year-old out of the picture, it is too overwhelming for me to have all three dogs to care for. So I’m looking to find Spock a great new home.

Yvette is in foster care in Huntington Beach SO Cal area. Please note this dog is located in SO Calif. Because of the overpopulation and high kill rate of shelter dogs in our area we are trying to find our dogs good homes in other areas. Please contact us for transport information. Yvette is such a nice compact little shepherd girl who is almost 3yrs old and weighs 60 pounds. She has been waiting awhile for a family and her friend we rescued with her has been adopted leaving Yvette alone and waiting. She is gentle and playful with other dogs the same size as her in her playgroup. She likes toys, scampering and bowing around the play yard and is great in the car and on leash. She still has puppy energy and may play a little to hard to be with really small dogs and she doesn't care for kitties. For a family this dog has an amazing personality and does her best to mind and please. Yvette could play ball from sunrise till bedtime and never tires of her favorite toy. She like water and on hot days can be seen splashing contentedly in her kiddie pool. The beach lake or river would be her idea of Heaven.
