Story
Are you ready to meet a cheerful pup that loves the outdoors and can actively keep up with you? If yes, this canine stunner may be your ideal match. Odette is a gentle gal, giving her fosters sweet kisses and affection. She handles her treats and soft toys with extra care. Playful and spirited, Odette gets along with fellow doggies when properly introduced. This lovely lady will fancy your skills as a delegator. Odette is most content when she stays productive and squeezes in some essential snuggle time. She is very sweet, good in the house, cuddles on the couch and sleeps on the bed near the pillow. She is not suited for first time dog owners, no small children, no small pets, no cats. Her prey drive is over the top, a fence miht slow her down but it won't stop her from chasing a critter. Malinois are historically herding animals and can make amazing guard dogs. With this in mind, Odette's ideal home offers her room to roam and a job to do. She would thrive in an environment with attentive hoomans without small children and pets. Odette is ready to begin her furever adventure. To schedule a meet and greet, fill out the online application and a volunteer will respond in a few days.

Story
I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog Adoption:14Hello, I'm Asada! I'm an 11-month-old, 40 lb female Belgian Malinois mix. Aftre being hit by a car, I needed a leg amputation after being hit by a car, but now I'm fully recovered! I'm incredibly affectionate and love staying close to my humans, especially when I get gentle chin rubs. I'm a fan of my crate and can comfortably stay alone for up to 8 hours. I thrive in a quiet home with a yard, as loud noises and busy streets make me anxious. I need a patient adopter experienced with fearful dogs to help me feel safe and secure. I get along well with other calm, gentle dogs, but rough play overwhelms me. My ideal foster or forever home includes one confident, but gentle dog in an adult-only environment. Young children may not be suitable, but respectful teenagers are okay! Adopters may need to meet me more than once to get a good sense of my personality. If you have a peaceful home and a big heart, we could be the perfect match. My foster posts about me @MarsNMona on Instagram. Ready to meet me? Story
I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog I:4Zeus - the One-year Old, Energetic and Clever Fetch Enthusiast Malinois  Zeus is a high-energy dog who loves to play and is always ready for a good game of fetch. His intelligence and playful nature make him a fun and engaging companion. Energetic and Playful: Zeus has plenty of energy to burn and loves to run and play, especially fetch, with his human friends. Fetch Pro: Zeus’ll fetch and bring the ball back but needs some convincing to exchange. Using a second ball and staying in one spot helps him understand the game. Smart and Engaging: During the game of fetch, Zeus doesn’t show signs of resource guarding; he just enjoys the game of outsmarting you to get the ball first. Once you get the ball, he quickly learns that he gains more by letting you throw it again. Water Lover: Zeus enjoys water, which adds another fun element to playtime. Listens Well: After a few minutes of play, Zeus listens well and stays by your side more. He just needs to get his energy out first. Gentle and Cuddly: Once he’s had his run, Zeus also becomes more gentle and cuddly. He loves to lean against your legs and get pets on his head and body. Leash Walker: After some yard time, Zeus walks very well on the leash, though he may pull strongly when initially leaving the kennel. Zeus go to doggie playgroup. He is best in a home with another friendly dog or as the only dog with other doggie friends.Zeus is a smart and playful dog who would thrive in an active home that can keep up with his energy and enjoy his playful antics. Adopt Zeus and experience the joy of a dog who loves to play and cuddle!July 7, 2024, 12:29 am

Story
Spooky is a very handsome dog who is not at all spooky! He’s a youngster who has already had lots of training, which is a great thing because he’s a big guy. But he’s very easy to handle. Spooky walks very politely on leash, passing other dogs without any commotion. He does have a bit of a prey drive, specifically for birds. He passed a cat recently and barely seemed to notice it. Spooky knows some basic commands and is very attentive to his human handlers. He’d love to find a home soon to finish growing up in and start bonding with his new family. He will likely do best in a home with a little bit of room for him outside. He’d probably also like an active family, because he’s very smart and engaged. Spooky also appears to be housetrained, so he’s ready to go home with you.
