Story
This girl is a lover through and through! Francesca is a bubbly young Belgian Malinois who radiates joy and fun wherever she goes! Her favorite things include soaking up pets, basking in snuggles, and in general, getting all the love she can from anyone who will give it to her! Like most Malinois, Francesca is an intelligent, high-energy, young lady who thrives on mental stimulation and physical activity. She’s always up for a game, an adventure, or learning something new, and she’ll need a home that can keep both her mind and body engaged. She loves zooming around the yard, chasing toys— her playful energy is contagious, and she’ll keep you smiling with her silly antics and endless enthusiasm. Whether it’s a game of fetch, chase, or just bounding around in the sunshine, Francesca knows how to make the best of every moment. She appears to have recently become a mama, but now it’s her turn to find a forever home where she’ll be adored and cherished for the rest of her days.

Story
Odette is a cheerful and spirited Belgian Malinois who loves the outdoors and can keep up with an active lifestyle. She is gentle and affectionate, often giving sweet kisses to her fosters and handling her treats and toys with care. Playful and social, Odette enjoys the company of other dogs when properly introduced. Odette thrives when she has a job to do and appreciates a home where her humans can delegate tasks to her. She loves to stay productive but also cherishes essential snuggle time. She is well-behaved in the house, enjoys cuddling on the couch, and sleeps on the bed near the pillow. However, Odette is not suited for first-time dog owners, homes with small children, small pets, or cats due to her high prey drive. A fence might slow her down, but it won't stop her from chasing critters. Belgian Malinois are historically herding animals and can make excellent guard dogs. Odette would thrive in a home with ample space to roam and attentive humans who can provide her with the mental and physical stimulation she needs. Additionally, Odette loves camping, making her an ideal companion for outdoor adventures. She is ready to begin her forever adventure. To schedule a meet and greet, fill out the online application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/RTUG/Dog. A volunteer will respond in a few days.

Story
**Meet Pachik: Your Loyal, Athletic, and Intelligent Sidekick!** If you're looking for a loyal and energetic companion, Pachik (paw-cheek, means kisses in Armenian) , a 1-year-old Belgian Malinois mix, could be the perfect fit for you. He is a sweet, affectionate dog who thrives with a confident and experienced leader, and he would do best in a home with plenty of space to roam and engage in physical and mental activities. Experience with Malanios is recommended. Key Traits and Needs: - Loyal & Affectionate: Pachik is extremely loyal to his main people and forms strong bonds with who is in charge. He’s happiest when he’s with his humans, and he would thrive in a home where someone is home frequently. He would do well with older children and may also enjoy having another dog to play with. - Space & Exercise: This highly athletic dog needs room to run and play. He would benefit from a large yard, or even better, a farm or property where he can work and roam freely. Daily exercise, mental stimulation (like puzzles or tasks), and a routine are essential for him to stay happy and healthy. He loves you chase the ball endlessly! Training Needs: Pachik is intelligent and eager to learn, but he still needs consistent training in certain areas: - Impulse Control & Distractions: He’s still working on managing distractions and controlling impulses when out in the world - Leash Walking & Recall: He is partially trained but will need further work on walking calmly on a leash and improving recall. - Malinois Traits: As a Malinois mix, Pachik’s natural instincts are strong, and it’s recommended that his new owner either has experience with Malinois or works with a trainer experienced with this breed. Behavioral notes: - Job & Activity-Oriented: Pachik’s energy levels and intelligence make him a great candidate for activities like agility, scent training, or even serving as a jogging buddy (once trained). He loves to work and enjoys playtime with trusted dog friends. - Protective Nature: Pachik is starting to show protective instincts, which could make him a great protector with some guidance and training. He’s focused and attentive to his main person, exhibiting the classic Malinois traits. - Chill Time: After a good amount of exercise, Pachik knows when it's time to wind down at night. He enjoys relaxing with his people in the evening and is particularly cuddly after a long day. Training Highlights: - Crate Trained: Pachik sleeps soundly in his crate at night and enjoys his comfy bed. - House Trained: He is house trained and has never had an accident indoors. - Furniture Training: He is trained to stay off the furniture, including the bed. Which is ideal for him and for his new leader being the boss. He prefers it actually. Commands He Knows: - Sit, Down, Shake, Roll Over, Turn Around, Back, Stay, Wait, Come (needs some recall work), No (Ah-Ah), Off, Up, Gentle, Free (release command), Go to Bed (place training), drop (the item), and more! - He’s also learned how to put on his harness in an adorable way. - place and crate training have been important for him, he needs to know when to take a break and learning to separate , he does well with both Social Skills: Pachik has done well at dog daycare and enjoys the company of other dogs with proper introductions, off leash is better. He would do well in a pack but also needs much more socialization exposure. He is also not fond of being left alone and will need help with separation anxiety training. Fun Facts: - Pachik’s unique ear hair and good looks will surely turn heads during walks, and you can expect plenty of compliments and questions from passersby! - He’s always eager to help out, even breaking down cardboard with enthusiasm. - Pachik can jump! It’s amazing - he’s amazing at catching and chasing the ball, he’d be a great frisbee dog Ideal Home: Pachik is not suited for a low-key owners are gone all day lifestyle. He requires an active home where he can engage physically and mentally. He will thrive in an environment with ample space, whether it's a large backyard or a property where he can work, run, and explore. City life doesn't feel like the best fit for him. Pachik is still young, playful, and full of potential, but he needs a committed owner who will provide the structure, training, and attention he deserves. If you're ready for the challenge and joy of a highly intelligent, athletic, and loyal dog, Pachik could be the perfect sidekick for your active lifestyle!

Story
Ember is a gorgeous Belgian Malinois/ Dutch Shepherd Mix. This fun and affectionate girl was rescued from the Martinez animal shelter where she was found hanging out politely with a small doggie play group. We don't know much about how this girl started out in life, but we love her for her friendly, eager to please temperment! Upon being rescued from the shelter, she hoped in the back of the car and gently made her way to the front to give her rescuer some gentle "thank you" face kisses. She rode perfectly in the car the whole way home to freedom.    Ember loves people and affection, often leaning into them for pets. She also enjoys a good game of fetch. She is dog friendly with all dogs she's met, people friendly and kid friendly! She is learning basic obedience in her foster home including sit, stairs, and walking politely on leash. This pretty girl's perfect home would be living the good life with her people and other doggie friends. She's been an escape artist in her crate, so we think she would thrive in an active home that wants her to be a part of it! ##2162098##

Don't let his senior status fool you; full of life, this pup is far from retirement and maintains excellent mobility, hearing, and eyesight. He relishes going on walks, car rides, and is always eager for new adventures, such as exploring the coastal trail at Half Moon Bay or hiking on local nature trails. His current routine includes two daily walks around the neighborhood and mental exercises to keep him healthy and content. He reveals his playful side when pouncing on plush squeaking toys or zooming around the yard. Max has mastered many new skills, proving that older dogs are both capable and intelligent. He is crate trained, and understands numerous commands and associated hand signals. Max is highly food motivated and fearlessly attempts anything for treats, from navigating a long tunnel to jumping over small objects. His food motivation aids in his training and eagerness to learn new tricks. Max resides in a suburban foster home with a yard enclosed by a 6-foot fence, where he enjoys a balance of indoor and outdoor time. While Max prefers to be the sole focus of attention, he has enjoyed a few playdates with select tolerant dogs.  If you're searching for a truly remarkable companion with a sweet and affectionate demeanor, look no further than Max. I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereAmana is a sweet and loving soul who was found as a stray running through traffic. She now lives in a 1 bedroom apartment with her foster mom and dad and enjoys lounging at home or being out on an adventure. She is a medium energy GSD who is easily tired with some fetch or running with other dogs. She is house trained, is fine being left alone, rides calmly in cars, and walks nicely on leash. Amana is very smart and picks up new commands quickly. She has learned sit, down, stay, come, leave it, take it, paw, up, back up, and off. She has prey drive so should go to a cat-free household. She is good with older children and has ignored toddlers and small children. She could be a solo dog or go to a home with a well-matched dog. Check her out at @adopt_oas_amana on Instagram! Currently living in an apartment, Dimka is chill and enjoys spending time with her foster family. She loves going potty outside and will let you know when she needs to go. While she doesn’t love being left alone, she’s great in the car and can jump in and out of her foster’s SUV on her own!
