Story
Sailor moon was originally from a bad situation as a pup. She has since always been a nervous dog but warms up quickly and becomes an energetic ball! I adopted her 2 years ago when I was 3 months pregnant believing it was okay to adopt another dog not thinking about it too much. We've tried really hard to have her adjust with my older much smaller dog and it still isn't working out.I wish it was different. She has never bit anyone or shown aggression towards me, my boyfriend, our toddler or my smaller dog. The reason I mostly need to rehome her is she doesn't know her own strength. There's now been one too many times she almost hurt my small dog due to her rough housing with him believing she's smaller than what she is. It's a risk I can't take anymore and they both deserve to lives their lives with upmost safety and comfort. She knows how to play frisbee and is a wonderful guard dog for when you're not home. We will be moving states soon and can't take her. This is my last resort.

Story
Zoe is 1 year old Belgian malinois female. She is very good with kids (grew up with 4 little children (from 1 year old to 9 year old). Friendly and is very eager to please. She is potty trained and crate trained. She knows many commands (lay, sit, spin, roll, fatch, drop it, jump, wait, heel, etc.). Also worked with a professional trainer between the age of 3 months and 7 months). Worked on not pulling the leash when walking and not barking at othet dogs. She never bit or attack anyone. Unfortunately, our life changed a bit, my husband's schedule is busy, I am expecting our 5th baby and it has been very hard to find any time to give her enough attention. We enjoyed her immensely, and would love for her to find an owner who can give her a loving home, enough attention and keep on training her things, because she is one smart cookie! 🫶

Adoption Event Schedule Events run from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM every month at these locations: 2nd Saturday, Sacramento - Pet Food Express 3rd Saturday, Modesto - PetSmart 4th Saturday, Roseville - Pet Food Express Please visit the GCGSR Rescue Page for specific address information. Adoption Fee:  $100.00 Sasha is a female Belgian Malinois that is approximately 10 years old.  She came to us when her elderly owner passed away.  She was an outdoor only dog for the last half of her life. Everything inside her foster’s home was new to her. She has very quickly learned about the creature comforts of being indoors, surrounded by people, and what treats are. Sasha sleeps in a crate at night, and has learned to use the doggie door to go outside.  She is fostered in a home with two other female dogs, and does well with them.  There are also grandchildren who regularly visit and she does well with them.  She loves to give hugs to everyone. She knows basic commands like sit, lay down, and she is working on wait/stay.  Sasha is looking for a home who will help her explore the new world and continue training. No cats or small critters. Level 2 As a senior, Sasha's adoption fee is sponsored through 12/31/24.  Submit an Adoption Questionnaire to meet her soon. Understanding Dog Levels Please be sure you understand what a dog of this Level requires. Go to our home page for an explanation of the Dog Rating Levels. Story
*Courtesy post - if interested in this pet please contact the owner Anthony at anthonysegoviano27@gmail.com*  Rey is a sweet girl looking for her forever family. Rey is about 1 year old and full of love. Rey is a Belgian Malinois and would do best in a home familiar with the breed. She loves everyone she meets, though she can sometimes have a hard time containing her excitement! Rey has been around other dogs and did ok with them. We are not sure about cats but feel she could be fine. She is mostly housetrained though does have the occasional accident if we wait too long between taking her out.  *Courtesy post - if interested in this pet please contact the owner Anthony at anthonysegoviano27@gmail.com*      All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered.
