Story
June Bug is a carefree, energetic puppy with a heart full of love. She loves tennis balls, squeaky toys and chicken. Chicken is her weakness to ANYTHING. She loves water play, car rides and running. She's a great guard dog, and makes funny sounds. When she's tired, she loves belly rubs and cuddles. However, she is a puppy, and needs proper training. Shes extremley intelligent and is awesome with puzzle toys. She is fantastic with dogs, and loves dog parks and interacting with her kind. She's a goofball at its finest, and is a sweetheart. We cannot keep her due to health concerns in the family, and we can't give her the attention and training she needs. We will miss her so much, but we want her to have the best home possible.

Leah IS AVAILALBE (updated 08-23-2024).To meet any of our dogs you must first complete our online adoption application on our website. For more information and the adoption application for Leah, please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=22329&name=LeahLeah came to us a terrified, shut down, feral dog whom animal control had confiscated from a very bad situation. She was so shut down, it took a long (long!) time to get her to allow any type of interaction with humans. We spent month after month earning her trust, socializing her, and teaching her to overcome her many fears. Around 6 years old now, she moved from the training facility into a foster home and is doing fantastic, but will need a special adopter. At first, she was scared to enter the house, the tile scared her, and it took coaxing for her to enter. Leah now seeks affection, is playing with toys, plays with her human foster, is totally comfortable being inside, crate trained, potty trained, and is learning that the world isnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t such a scary place. She went to the beach for the first time and loved it!While she&#39s your normal, energetic Maligator in her foster home, she is still figuring out the world outside of those doors. She spends time every day being exposed to new things, but when she&#39s scared she does try to bolt. She used to hit the end of the leash and frantically chew to break free (which is why she wears a long fur saver), but now, when something new and loud is that scary, she bolts and stops when she hits the end of the leash, even going into a sit. Leah is a jaw snapping, toy playing, chew obsessed Malinois in her home and is going to need someone who understands Mals, who can supply structure, who is patient, and who can slowly build trust with her. Because she&#39s such a flight risk, we are going to be very careful about where we place her, because she means the world to us.The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.September 26, 2024, 12:22 am

They were being given away &#39free to good home&#39 and were rescued by an animal lover who didn&#39t want to see them land in the wrong hands! Fiona settled into the kennel life very easily and charmed her way into the hearts of all of the volunteers. She needed treatment for a cancerous tumor that she likely got when she became pregnant with her pups. The good news here is that she is done with her treatments and has been cancer free for over 6 months! Yay for Fiona! Fiona would love a home to call her own. She has been to obedience training, knows all her basic commands and walks well on a leash. She would do best in a home with older kids and no other dogs or cats. She loves car rides and would love an active lifestyle! If Fiona sounds like a fit for you, please let us know. Story
Hi, I'm Maple! Maple is a sweet German Shepherd/Australian Shepherd mix around 6 years old. I love to cuddle and be around my people. I know basic commands like sit, lay and shake. I love treats and very motivated when you use them with me. Essentially, I love doing tricks for treats. I'm smart so I am housebroken and I tell my foster parents when I need to go out. I love looking out the window at cars going by on the street. I get along well with other dogs my size and may not bowl you over with love and kisses immediately when I meet you but I definitely will once I know you a little bit more. Once I know you I won't want to leave your side and will be your most loyal friend. I love going for walks to smell all the new smells. I really would be a great addition to any family, I just want to live out my latter part of my life with a loving family! Maple is up for adoption with A Wish for Animals- based in California. Adoption fees cover transport, spay/neutering, and up to date vaccines. Story
Grizzly is a seven year old female German Shepard mix. She is loving, friendly and sweet with all adults and children. She has quite a bit of energy and loves to howl when she gets excited! She is great indoors, as she is potty trained and doesn’t chew on things or bark. Unfortunately, she is not friendly with other animals (dogs and cats). She has severe separation anxiety and needs to be kenneled when left alone.    She really loves to be around people! She would be great in a home where she isn’t alone most of the time and has a backyard for her to run around. She is a bit of an escape artist, so the backyard needs to be secure.  Interested in adopting this pet? Please contact us at questions@awishforanimals.org for more info.November 6, 2024, 5:40 am
