Story

Nixi was recovered from a construction site where she was living with another dog. She was brought into the Humane Society by a good Samaritan. She stayed there for about a month where she was spayed and received all her vaccinations. She is a great dog. She's definitely young - we were quoted two years but she seems younger, which could just be due to lack of socialization. She is loving and cuddly once she warms up to you (which really does not take long). She is progressing on potty training but is not there yet. We unfortunately do not have a yard, which I think would greatly improve her progress. She is high energy & very smart. Unfortunately, we are unable to keep her because she is extremely leash reactive. This wouldn't be an issue, but unfortunately she is also reactive towards people if they make eye contact. We live in a busy apartment so this is unavoidable, and unfortunately her reactions are risking our lease. (Note- reactive NOT aggressive in our experience)

He was abandoned on the Street 6 months ago (was a 2 months baby) we heard him crying from our window and we went out to help him. He has 4 femur fractures but he was treated and 100% recovered without any sequelae. Luke was neutered and vaccinated, he is a great dog but we don’t have a yard, he currently lives in a very very small space. Loves toys and walks and Is ready to find a forever family.

Story

Luna is an active and healthy Belgian Malinois who will be turning 5 in March. I have had her since she was a pup, and unfortunately need to find her a new home due to relocation and personal circumstances. She is spayed, and house and kennel trained. She is a wonderful running and hiking companion, but also loves to sit next to me or under my desk while I work. She is highly toy motivated and absolutely loves to play catch. She has been great with my toddler, but is generally weary of children. Luna needs a lot of exercise and stimulation and gets separation anxiety if left for a long time alone. She does really well in the house and has never chewed on anything other than her toys, and respects boundaries regarding space and furniture. She can get along well with other dogs but is picky and generally more interested in her human.

Barkley is a 2.5 year old brindle Mali/Shepherd SuperMutt mix. We rescued him as a pup and spent a lot of money training him. Unfortunately, my son (6) and him don’t mix well. They’ve had a couple of minor incidents. He has no issue with my girls and his son brother (6 mos older and 30-40lbs bigger.) Highly intelligent and is an alpha male. Will herd other dogs and try to encourage them to play. Weighs about 40lbs. Athletic and fast. Knows basic commands, is prong, ecollar trained and is ball, toy motivated. Doesn’t seem to care much about food but eats what he is given. He is hyper alert and very communicative. I think he’d do best with someone who can give him a job and let him roam the perimeter. Meet Rocko, formerly known as Peter from the Mal-y Bunch! Rocko is a sweet, happy, very smart and driven 6 month old Malinois x German Shepherd mix who weighs around 20 lbs. He has been fostered with other dogs, ranging in age from 1.5 years old to 9 years old. Rocko has also been socialized with kids, though we recommend a home with dog-experienced kids since Rocko will need some help understanding how to play with them. This gem of a pup loves to love and bonds quickly with his person or persons, is eager to learn and please, and does great out in social settings. Rocko's also house and crate trained, and is working on his leash manners. He'll make a great hiking or adventure buddy, working dog, or sport dog. Rocko's story - Their mama was surrendered to the shelter the day before she gave birth. The very next day she welcomed 9 beautiful puppies. The shelter is no place for any dog, let alone a mom and her new puppies. Thanks to an amazing foster, we were able to quickly rescue mama + all 10 puppies! All Mutt Luv dogs/puppies come vaccinated, microchipped, s/n, heartworm tested, and with a clean bill of health from our vet.

Kona is a sweet, smart, healthy, and athletic girl. I adopted her in 2016 and at the time, the vet said was 2-3 years old. I was single then and had lots of time time to spend with her. I’m now married with two small children, a full time job (active duty military) and a husband who deploys regularly. I can no longer give Kona the get the exercise or attention she deserves and she is home alone all day which causes her anxiety. It pains me to have to look for a better home for her, but the circumstances of my life aren’t fair to her. I’m hoping to find someone who can love her and give her the attention she deserves.
