A home that will let Andy settle in at his own pace. He is very lovely and a gentle giant, but is shy to start. We would recommend breed experience, and no apartments due to his nervousness. Andy could benefit from continuing obedience training and leash training.Good with other cats? No due to prey driveGood with dogs? Yes, with the proper introduction. A dog who is the same size and activity level as well.Good with children? Recommend no children under 14 years old due to nervousness.Temperament: Gentle giant, sweet, happy boy, curious, smartMotivators? Treats, kibbleAny commands? Sit, PawHouse trained? UnknownCrate trained? UnknownHow long will it take to settle into a new environment? 3-3-3 rule: First 3 days - Your dog may be overwhelmed and may hide, have a lack of appetite, or test boundaries. Give them space and time to adjust in a quiet room with their bed, food, water, and toys. 3 weeks - Your dog may start to settle in and their personality will emerge. You can expect behavior issues to arise, so set boundaries and expectations with positive reinforcement training. 3 months - Your dog should be comfortable and acclimated to your home.
