Story
Hello, fellow dog lovers! Malachi, a charming, full-breed Beagle boy, just over a year old. My life began with a wonderful breeder, a close friend of my current mom took me in, showering me with love, but now I need a new forever home - Breed: Purebred Beagle - Age: 1 years - Size: Compact, (under 20 lbs) - Personality: Curious, energetic, loving - Training: Potty-trained (accidents if not taken out every 3 hours) - Health: Up-to-date vaccinations from what I recall, healthy and thriving - Have his papers just got to look for them *My mom's health has taken a turn, and she's struggling with breast cancer treatment and other conditions. Despite her love, she cant provide the care I deserve. We're currently homeless, and time is running out. My mom and her son are heartbroken, but they want the best. Needs - A loving, stable home with a secure yard - Regular exercise (daily walks, playtime) - Attention and interaction - Consistent potty breaks (3 hours) - Patience/understanding

Story
Hi there, I'm Lucy, your friendly, gentle Beagle looking for a cozy spot to call home. I'm a petite little gal, just 20 pounds of sweetness, with a soft tricolor coat and the heart of an angel. I'm about 7 years young, which means I'm past those hyper puppy days and ready to settle in for all the calm, lazy snuggle sessions you could ask for! You might notice a few scrapes on my face-let's just say the road wasn't too kind to me while I was out on my own. But don't worry, I'm healing up nicely, and I've been making up for lost sleep ever since I arrived here! My days have been filled with long naps and gentle tail wags, and I'm savoring every moment of the peace and quiet. I shared my kennel with my pal Walter, another Beagle mix, and we got along just fine! I'm good with other dogs, especially if they're laid-back and happy to share a space with me. My rescuers say I have the sweetest, most tender spirit, and I'm sure you'll see that shine through in no time. I can't wait to be the little cutie in someone's life, bringing gentle companionship and lots of love. If you're looking for a loyal friend who loves to snooze and snuggle, I might just be the Beagle for you! Come meet me, and let's see if we're the perfect match. Lucy's adoption fee is $275. Story
Hey there, I'm Beetle! Yup, just like the bug, but I promise I'm way cuter and a lot more cuddly! I'm a Beagle mix, about three years old, and a perfect 24.5 pounds of sweetness. I may have spent a while wandering around outside, but I was pretty well-fed, thanks to some nice neighbors who left me treats (shoutout to my neighborhood food providers!). Even though I wasn't exactly anyone's pet, folks made sure I didn't go hungry. Now that it's gettin' chilly, I guess they figured it was time for me to find a real home. And hey, I won't lie-I'm liking this whole indoor life! Blankets? Soft beds? Count me in! I'm pretty polite inside, too. When I was in the shelter I kept a clean kennel, which is a great indicator of house training! I'll admit, I was a little shy at first. Can you blame me? New faces, new places-it's a lot to take in. But I warmed up quick! I let the folks here give me all my shots, pick me up, and even snuggle me a little. And, in classic Beagle fashion, I've got a voice on me. I may chime in with a bark here and there, but I've been getting quieter as I settle in and feel safe. I'm not just friendly with people-I'm the neighborhood peacekeeper! I get along just fine with other dogs, cats, and even chickens. So if you've got a full house (or coop!), I'd fit right in. All I need now is a family to call my own, someone who'll be patient as I settle in and show my true, snuggly self. Think we could be best buds? I'm here, waiting with a wagging tail, ready to meet you! Beetle's adoption fee is $275. Story
Roscoe arrived at NCCR on 10/12/24, surrendered by his owner. He is an approximately 1-year-old neutered male mixed breed. His breed mix is believed to contain Beagle and Terrier. Roscoe's home wasn't ideal, but it hasn’t deterred him from being loving and friendly to just about everyone he meets! He also reportedly gets along well with other dogs, but has never lived with cats and may chase them. As with all young dogs, Roscoe needs a family who can provide ample daily exercise and playtime, ongoing training, and plenty of patience and love to help him thrive! If you think you might be interested in adopting, your first step should be to complete an  Adoption Application at www.caninerescue.org.  *After you have completed your application, you will get a confirmation that we have received your application. It takes a lot of time to process the applications, so we ask for your patience while we do so. If you see that the dog you were interested in has been adopted it means there were many applications for that dog and we did not get as far as processing your application before a home was found. We welcome you to apply again if you see another dog that interests you.   If you have a question, please email your question to adoptions@caninerescue.org. It is much easier and quicker for us to respond by email as we receive many phone calls each day. We do adopt out of state, however we do not transport or ship dogs. Potential adopter must be able and willing to travel to the Rescue to meet the dog they are interested in. *PLEASE double check all of the phone numbers that you provide as if they are incorrect, we will be unable to process your application. Please also let your references know that someone from NCCR will be calling them. Most adoption team members call from their personal phone so advise your references that there may be an unknown number or a private number calling them. NYS Registration #RR028
