Story
· November is adopt a senior month, so let us introduce you to our little golden girl, Pru! She’s a frosted little tri-colored Jack Russel lady who is 10 years old and around 16lbs. Pru is a lap dog who is well mannered on the leash, in the car and in the home. She was recently pulled from a shelter, we’re not sure how she found herself there but it’s easy to tell she has spent her life in a loving home. Her happy ears flop when she trots around and she is polite meeting animal friends and people alike. She gently tries to give kisses to every person she meets as well. Pru is a low key lady, she is housebroken, sleeps well in a dog bed at night and has been crate trained but finds herself most comfortable curled up on the couch. If you’d like to see her silly side, break out the treats and she will practically take flight with the speed of her tail! She also sings a little soul song if she hears any high pitched noises or feels especially excited about something, she has a really fun personality! She’s fine with other dogs, doesn’t seem overly interested or bothered as long as they have manners and we think she’d be fine with cats and older children as well! Pru is looking for a family to give her love in her golden years allowing for all the comforts an older lady deserves! If you would love to add her to your family please email us at almosthome4dogs@yahoo.com. (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING US! We are NOT a shelter: All of our dogs live in private homes with foster families. Come and meet the Almost Home dogs and their fosters at our Meet & Greet events, where you can learn more about our wonderful dogs from the people who live with them, find out which dogs are on their way and when they’ll arrive, and fill out an application to adopt or foster. We cannot adopt to homes where electric-shock fencing systems or training collars are used. For more information on the dangers of electric-shock collars, please visit banshockcollars.ca/studies.php . We do not have an online adoption application; to request an application, e-mail us at AlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com. To speed e-mail processing time, be sure to note the name of the dog you are inquiring about in the Subject line. For Meet & Greet times and locations, visit our home page, where you also will find information on our adoption process and fees. FOSTER FAMILIES ARE LIFESAVERS!! Can you open your heart and home for a few weeks to homeless shelter dog? Remember, by fostering a dog, you save TWO lives — that of your foster dog, and that of the dog who takes his place in the shelter! Come to a Meet & Greet and find out if fostering is for you — there's no reward quite like the feeling that you've saved a life ... or two!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 17, 2024, 11:55 am
