Story
Annie is a sweet, 3-year-old Beagle who’s had a rough start in life, but don’t let that fool you—she’s got the brightest spirit, she’s loyal as can be, and has so much love to give! Despite the challenges she’s faced lately, Annie is a trooper and she’s ready to find her forever home where she can share all her warmth and affection. This lovable girl sleeps soundly through the night and is fairly quiet around the house—she only barks (or sometimes howls) when the other dogs do. She’s mostly house-trained and does her best to let us know when she needs out. Annie has been making remarkable progress as she works through some health hurdles, including frostbite injuries from her time living outside and a bit of a limp, also presumably from her time in the freezing temps. Annie is receiving care and will be cleared/vet checked prior to going to her new home! Annie has a healthy appetite and loves her walks, but she’s also a professional napper and enjoys her downtime as much as her outdoor adventures. She’s fantastic with kids, super playful with other dogs, and as you can tell from the videos, is happy to entertain herself with a few good toys! If you’re looking for a loving, resilient, and fun companion, Annie might just be the perfect match. Apply today and let her brighten your world! Annie will be available for adoption on or after February 2nd, 2025 at Paws Across Pittsburgh. www.pawsacrosspittsburgh.com/adopt Paws Across Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA 15144 KL#16182   ##2289315##

Story
Mako is a sweet and loving boy who we would like to see in the caring home of experienced dog adopters to help minimize his separation anxiety and drive for connectedness with his humans. We adopted Mako from Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh in June 2023, and he is currently about 9 years old and loves walks, sniffing and exploring a fenced in yard, and cuddling on the couch. We're considering rehoming him because, while he always showed some anxiety, the comfort he found after moving into our home seems to have been irreversibly disrupted since September, when our second child was born. While he is amazing with children and other dogs - extremely calm, nonreactive, and just the right amount of friendly - we're beginning to feel that his quality of life requires human(s) that have more time and attention to offer, and potentially even someone who can remain at home during the day to improve his feelings of security. We will miss him dearly, but hope you can love him as we have!

DOB 11/03/24 Working on housetraining High energy ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS! Hi there I'm Ross the newest member of the Midwest BREW family! We are super cute and full of energy! Our foster mom has been taking good care of us and we are loving being loved on and cared for. Soon we will be ready to find our own furever homes. Will it be with you? If you want a warm, soft, cuddly and full of energy bundle of joy in your life, fill out an adoption application or contact your Midwest BREW adoption counselor right away! NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI). ---------------------------- Please read our Standards for Adoption and the information about beagles and puppies before you submit an adoption application. Remember that owning a puppy is a full time commitment and you must have the time to commit to a dog that will be with you for 12-17 years. Beagle puppies are cute - but they are very challenging. Puppies may eat your apartment (no refund of security deposit); people who are gone for more than 5 hours at a time will need to make dog walker, neighbor or doggie daycare arrangements. We discourage the adoption of puppies to families with children under the age of six, since puppies will chew toys, shoes, blankets, hands, feet and other important parts of your child's anatomy

Story
GEORGE Attributes Snuggly Not good in an apartment Housetrained Requires a fence Dog friendly High energy Bad in car My name is George and my foster parents say I'm a great dog!! My collar says it too, it says “bestest boy”! I'm a young beagle 2-3 years old. I LOVE playing with other dogs, and I LOVE cuddling with the humans here!! I will trust fall into your lap. I listen pretty well for a beagle and will do anything for a treat. I get lots of treats to go outside so house training has gone really well. I'm also kind of crate trained, I sleep in my crate at night and I stay there when my foster parents are at work for a few hours during the day, but I do bark a little bit. I will stop for a peanut butter-stuffed Kong. They joke they should have named me Tigger because I jump up and down and twist when I get excited for food!! I'm pretty smart and might be a good dog for agility or even a barn hunt, I would love doggy daycare. I am a very social dog with the other dogs. I get car sick (which is why I am not great in the car). If I take medication for car sickness, I am good. If you think I’m the boy you’ve been looking for, contact your Midwest BREW counselor right away and ask about George! NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).

DUKE TOO Attributes Dog friendly Crate trained Likes car rides Not best for apartments High energy Needs a fence Will potty on a leash Working on housetraining Hello! My name is Duke Too, I am a beagle mix, at almost 2 years old, and full of energy. I’d make a great companion for an avid walker, hiker, or runner, or an active family with children over the age of 12. A home with a fenced-in yard where I can burn off excess energy by running and playing would be ideal. For the most part, I know I am supposed to go potty outside and I will go to the door to let my foster parents know. I have only had a few accidents in the house. I am good in the crate and go into it at night without any issues. I do like to talk in the morning to let everyone know it is time to go out, so I wouldn’t do the best in an apartment or condo. I love my foster family's children, being with my human family, giving kisses, and receiving lots of attention is one of my favorite things! I love to run! I get the zoomies regularly and race around the house trying to get someone to chase me! I love playing fetch and I am happy to return the ball as long as you are willing to throw it. I have a lot of puppyness in me still but I am working on how walking on a leash and how to “sit” and “leave it”. When my foster mom works at home, I love to curl up near her and take a nap. I love to be outside and guard the yard from birds, bunnies, and squirrels, so I would love a nice big fenced yard of my own to run and play! I do like to try to go thru the door first, so my foster mom is working with me on my manners. I am so excited to find my forever family. I have so much love to give! If you think you have my perfect home, my foster mom would love to talk to you. Thank you! NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).
