Annie is a sweet, 3-year-old Beagle who’s had a rough start in life, but don’t let that fool you—she’s got the brightest spirit, she’s loyal as can be, and has so much love to give! Despite the challenges she’s faced lately, Annie is a trooper and she’s ready to find her forever home where she can share all her warmth and affection. This lovable girl sleeps soundly through the night and is fairly quiet around the house—she only barks (or sometimes howls) when the other dogs do. She’s mostly house-trained and does her best to let us know when she needs out. Annie has been making remarkable progress as she works through some health hurdles, including frostbite injuries from her time living outside and a bit of a limp, also presumably from her time in the freezing temps. Annie is receiving care and will be cleared/vet checked prior to going to her new home! Annie has a healthy appetite and loves her walks, but she’s also a professional napper and enjoys her downtime as much as her outdoor adventures. She’s fantastic with kids, super playful with other dogs, and as you can tell from the videos, is happy to entertain herself with a few good toys! Story
Mako is a sweet and loving boy who we would like to see in the caring home of experienced dog adopters to help minimize his separation anxiety and drive for connectedness with his humans. We adopted Mako from Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh in June 2023, and he is currently about 9 years old and loves walks, sniffing and exploring a fenced in yard, and cuddling on the couch. We're considering rehoming him because, while he always showed some anxiety, the comfort he found after moving into our home seems to have been irreversibly disrupted since September, when our second child was born. While he is amazing with children and other dogs - extremely calm, nonreactive, and just the right amount of friendly - we're beginning to feel that his quality of life requires human(s) that have more time and attention to offer, and potentially even someone who can remain at home during the day to improve his feelings of security. We will miss him dearly, but hope you can love him as we have!

My collar says it too, it says “bestest boy”! I'm a young beagle 2-3 years old. I LOVE playing with other dogs, and I LOVE cuddling with the humans here!! I will trust fall into your lap. I listen pretty well for a beagle and will do anything for a treat. I get lots of treats to go outside so house training has gone really well. I'm also kind of crate trained, I sleep in my crate at night and I stay there when my foster parents are at work for a few hours during the day, but I do bark a little bit. I will stop for a peanut butter-stuffed Kong. They joke they should have named me Tigger because I jump up and down and twist when I get excited for food!! I'm pretty smart and might be a good dog for agility or even a barn hunt, I would love doggy daycare. I am a very social dog with the other dogs. I get car sick (which is why I am not great in the car). If I take medication for car sickness, I am good. If you think I’m the boy you’ve been looking for, contact your Midwest BREW counselor right away and ask about George!
