Story
Hiya! I`m Sam. I`m a spunky little guy looking for a new home. I am a clever beagle mix that came to the shelter as a stray. I am looking for a home with dog savvy adults. I can be a bit sensitive about being handled and ask that any children be over 15 years old. I am also selective about my dog friends but may be able to get along with a new dog companion with a proper introduction. I haven`t been around cats before but am open to trying with a slow introduction. If you think you have room in your home for me in your home please come down to the shelter and lets meet.---If you are interested in adopting, please come prepared --bring a photo ID, proof of address, and everyone in the home including resident dogs with vaccination history. We are open daily 12-6pm.---The Pennsylvania SPCA - Lancaster Center848 S. Prince St. Lancaster PA 17603Kennel #16516717-917-6979lancaster@pspca.org

Story
Meet Max! He is a 1 yr old beagle/ Boston Terrier. Max was surrendered by no fault of his, but because the family was experiencing some financial issues. Max is still very much a puppy. He loves to play. He enjoys squeaky toys and stuffed animals. He plays chase with his human foster brother often. While Max behaves like a puppy, he also loves snuggle time. Whenever his foster mom sits down, Max jumps on her lap and goes to sleep. Max has 2 doggy siblings whom he adores. They play chase and are often found napping together on their giant pillows. Max lives with a cat. He does not chase or attack him, but Max will bark at him. It appears that Max is afraid of the cat. Max is working on potty training. He is about 80% there but still occasionally has an accident. Max is very food motivated. He is receiving dry food with an occasional, very enjoyable treat. Max is working on his manners. He does jump when he gets excited but is easily redirected. He knows how to sit on command and will do this to have his leash hooked and before he is given his food. He is crate trained and enjoys going inside at the end of the day when he gets tired. He is also crated when his foster family is not home. Though he usually sleeps in his crate at bedtime, he will sometimes sleep in his foster mom's bed, where he loves to go under the covers to get cozy. In short, Max is good with kids and other dogs. He's curious about cats, but doesn't harm them. He is almost potty trained but still has a few accidents. Max is up to date on his vaccines and is neutered.

Story
Meet Penny, a sweet and gentle senior Beagle with a heart full of love to give. Penny may be a little older, but she still has plenty of spirit and affection to share. Penny unfortunately does have an enlarged heart and a heart murmur, along with being in the early stages of kidney failure, for which she is on special food to manage her condition. Despite her medical challenges, Penny’s sweet nature shines through, and she is looking for a loving home where she can enjoy her golden years surrounded by comfort and care. Penny has lived with other dogs before and she’s a calm and friendly girl. Penny is currently in a foster home, where she’s doing well and continuing to enjoy life. If you’re interested in meeting this sweet senior girl, please email adoption@berksarl.org to schedule a time to meet her. Available at the Animal Rescue League of Berks County, Birdsboro Pa 19508, KL#1257

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Bailey has the face of a Beagle and the legs of a gazelle. He is trained to use a pet door and has been accident-free since arriving here. He's a sweet little boy that needs a family who will help boost his confidence. We think he's around 2 years old and he is healthy and ready to travel now. He seems to be afraid of men so a home with females or smaller quiet males would be best for him and another friendly dog would also help him feel more comfortable. If you're interested in welcoming Bailey or any of our Funny Farm friends into your home, please visit funnyfarmpets.org to learn more about our Tennessee-based rescue, the adoption process, the comprehensive vetting procedures these pets undergo before they come to your home, and to submit an adoption application. The adoption fee for this pet is $325, and an additional $200 is required for transport. Currently located in a foster home in Tennessee, this pet will be transported to a northern location after the adoption process is finalized. For details on meeting locations and the transport process, please visit the transport tab at funnyfarmpets.org

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Please welcome the “Lethal Weapon” crew. Murtaugh, Riggs, Rianne, Lorna, Carrie and Trish were all born to Cricket the Beagle mix. A nice family found her living on her own and in the family way. She was also injured. They took her in and got her healthy and she thanked them by giving birth to the most dangerously adorable 6 pack. These babies were born the first week of December and will be fully vetted and ready to go to forever homes by the end of February. They are all so very loving and playful and with mom only being 33 pounds they should be a perfect medium size when fully grown. Mom is also a super friendly girl and they definitely have her personality. Any one of the pups will make a great addition to any home ready for some puppy love and energy. If you are interested in adopting please submit the application at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FFRR/Dog and we will email you after your application has been approved and put you in touch with the foster parent to ensure a perfect match as most of the dogs are in TN and won’t transport north until their adoption is finalized. And be sure to check out our public FB page at https://www.facebook.com/mcbfunnyfarmrescue/ to see pictures and live videos of our adoptable dogs and what we are doing every day to make a difference in the lives of these innocent animals while we work hard to find their forever homes. Thank you for choosing to adopt. Your decision saves lives! Adoption fee is $399 and if the pups has to be transported out of TN where it is currently fostered there will be an additional $200 transport fee.
