Story
Ross is a loving beagle/hound mix with lots of energy looking for a good home and someone who is compatible with him. He is a very smart dog and has lots of energy, making time outside very important. He loves to run around in the yard and get his energy out. Ross also enjoys sharing his friendly nature with his human companions, and is not afraid to jump up and give you a hug and a kiss. He has had challenges in the past guarding his toys and being a bit aggressive around food. Ross would benefit greatly from a patient and aware owner. He is fine with other dogs as long as toys and food are kept separate. Ultimately, Ross is a happy go lucky guy, and he deserves the best home! How can you not smile looking at that face? Do you think you can provide Ross with a forever home? If so, please reach out and contact Four Footed Friends at (724) 349-1144 or dogmanager@fourfootedfriends.org. You can also visit https://www.fourfootedfriends.org/ for more information on our organization and other pets we have available for adoption. You are also welcome to come visit any of our dogs to see if they might be the right fit! Visits are done by appointment only. Story
Frank is 3 1/2 years old. He’s a sweet dog. We got him when he was about 8 weeks old. He’s a great outdoor dog, loves the rivers, hiking, long walks. He’s very cuddly and very needy. He requires lots of cuddles, lots of attention, and lots of love. He thrives off routine and is very adaptable. We would love for whoever is interested in Frank to know these things as he requires a lot of time. He is not the type of dog to get for a kid that will get sick of him when something shinier and new comes along. He is a great guard dog and will alert you if anyone is near the property. He does great with other dogs as one could expect. There are some dogs who don’t like him and some dogs he does not like but he usually has no issue. He frequented dog parks most his life and LOVED it. He loves toys especially ones with the squeaker sound. He is a what you see is what you get type of dog.

Story
Harper is 5 years old and full of energy and love. She loves car rides, walking, running, playing, and cuddles! She knows a ton of commands and is very smart! We know you’ll love her as much as we do! She is an amazing pupper. Why rehome? We adopted Harper when it was only her and our other dog. We now have a 1yr old son and working on another. We also now have three cats we inherited. Harper is showing increased stress as we have added to our family and this is no longer a proper environment for her. She needs a home as the only dog and children 12 and older. She loves everyone a ton and if your have the right environment she’s going to be the perfect addition to your family! We ask for a pet adoption fee only because we want a serious dog lover that will do anything for Harper’s happiness.

Story
WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Bentley - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Hello, hello! Let me introduce myself, I'm Bentley. I'm here searching for a new family where I'll have a home, for always. You see, I had a wonderful loving home until my person passed away. The 'other' family didn't want me and just dropped me off at the shelter. I just lost my person and now have lost my home too! But I'm still a loving sweet boy that would love to have another person(s) to bestow all my love! I am so ready for Christmas, is Santa coming to grant my wish? I am a total sweetheart that will have your heart wrapped right around my little paw in no time flat! I love people both tall and small and do fantastic with other pups and even the resident kitty too!! I am house broken and crate trained, letting us get right to the fun stuff right away!! I like going for our walks around the property but I'm more of a meanderer then a cruiser. I'm at that stage in my life where I like to stop and smell the flowers instead of bulldozing right over them! And there's not much that beats a good splash in the river on those walks. Coming in at around 50lbs I could stand to lose a few pounds so those walks will sure help with that. I would make a great companion type pup for someone retired or that works from home. I would even make a great first time dog parent pup. Are you looking for that calm mellow fella that will be happy just to be in the same room? Are you looking for that someone to share in your daily life's going on's from the mundane daily to the weekend exciting? That FBF (furry best friend), that constant in your life that will never turn down belly rubs or treats? Oh wait, yep...that'd be ME!!! Please stop and fill out my adoption application, I am so looking forward to being that lil heartbeat at your feet. It can be found at haydudeequine.org

Story
AVALON Attributes Likes some other dogs Housetrained Crate trained Needs a fence High energy This gorgeous young gal with movie-star looks is Avalon! Avalon is a beautiful and energetic beagle mix girl who would make a great companion for an avid walker, hiker, runner, or active family. A home with a yard where she can burn off her puppy energy by romping and playing would be ideal. Playtime with other dogs is a serious business for Avalon, and she does best at playing with another confident dog. Avalon is a beagle/boxer/terrier mix, and we’re guessing that she’ll weigh in the neighborhood of 50 pounds once she’s an adult. Because of her size, she’ll need supervision around smaller children but should be fine with older ones. She’s cautious around strangers and may sometimes bark but will warm up to them if given time to get to know them. She is also nervous about noises and new situations. Avalon is currently training to help her gain confidence. Avalon’s foster mom says that she a very smart girl and is picking up obedience basics such as “sit,” “wait,” and “come,” and is working on improving her leash manners. Avalon rides well in the car and goes to doggy daycare two or three days a week, where she really seems to enjoy hanging out and playing with her friends there. Her foster mom says she’s very food motivated and “eats like a vacuum” (show us a beagle who doesn’t!), so if there are other dogs in the house, she should be fed separately from them. When it’s time to go to sleep, Avalon is equally happy to snuggle up in a dog bed or people's bed – she just wants to be comfy! She’s housetrained with the use of a doggy door. If you’re looking to liven up your days with a sweet, affectionate, energetic companion, Avalon may be the dog you’ve been looking for! NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI). Please read our Standards for Adoption and the information about beagles and puppies before you submit an adoption application. Remember that owning a puppy is a full-time commitment and you must have the time to commit to a dog that will be with you for 12-17 years. Beagle puppies are cute - but they are very challenging. Puppies may eat your apartment (no refund of security deposit); people who are gone for more than 5 hours at a time will need to make dog walker, neighbor, or doggie daycare arrangements. We discourage the adoption of puppies to families with children under the age of six, since puppies will chew toys, shoes, blankets, hands, feet, and other important parts of your child's anatomy.

Story
SELENE Attributes Dog friendly Requires another dog Good in-car rides Good w/children over 4yo Playful Snuggly Requires a fence Working on housetraining High energy Selene is a 10-month-old beagle mix girl weighing 28 pounds. She is very energetic, playful, happy, and affectionate. Selene loves people and enjoys being with them as much as possible. Selene is young and athletic. She is good with other dogs and enjoys running and playing with canine friends. She loves stuffed toys, balls, bones, and sticks. Selene is smart and is quickly learning her new foster home. She is learning basic commands like Down and Sit but can still be jumpy and mouthy like a puppy when excited. While Selene enjoys plenty of activity, she also likes to relax and cuddle with her people. Selene is relatively quiet but is known to join other resident dogs in barking when she gets excited or hears a strange sound.  An ideal home for Selene is one with an active family committed to ensuring she receives the attention, exercise, and playtime she needs and the love and affection she deserves. She would also love a canine sibling and a fenced yard to run around.  Selene would be a great companion on outings with her new family, hiking, long walks, running, and car rides. She's overall a well-rounded young girl. NOTE: The dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).
