Story
Yellow—12+ Kid by Kid, Dog by DogToby is a friendly guy. He walks well on leash and enjoys sniffing, once he`s finished sniffing he will redirect his attention to the handler. Toby doesn`t mind being handled other than his feet, he will pull away from you if you hold his paw too firmly. He was too stressed to get a good read on resource guarding; he ducked away when we attempted to handle him while eating, then he avoided the food dish and wouldn`t return to the food. He was interested in the noise of certain toys, but play-wise he only showed interest in chasing the tennis ball. While he doesn`t introduce well to strangers - he will bark - once you`ve given him the chance to warm-up he is content sitting at your feet and watching the world around him.For more resources to help with at any step of your adoption journey go to: https://go.petadoptiongateway.com/LycomingDTBureau of Dog Law Enforcement—Kennel License #2617

Story
Yellow/Green—Kid by Kid, Dog by DogHeidi is an incredibly sweet girl who is currently feeling a bit stressed. While she hesitated to come out of her kennel, she quickly adapts and walks wonderfully on a leash. Although she may be nervous around unfamiliar people, she handles interactions very well. Heidi prefers to take her time investigating new people and places before fully engaging. Right now, she is still finding her comfort zone and is not quite ready to play with toys, but she shows potential to learn. She does understand basic cues like `sit` and `wait,` and she has successfully redirected to stay off counters. She is calm around various objects and shows no signs of being easily startled. Heidi allows food to be removed while she’s eating and enjoys being petted. She greeted a stranger with appropriate behavior, although she chose not to engage further. She also interacted well with another dog but preferred to keep her distance afterward, indicating that she’s comfortable with the dog`s presence while still needing her space. Overall, Heidi is a sweet girl who will thrive as she becomes more confident in her environment. For more resources to help with any step of your adoption journey go to: https://go.petadoptiongateway.com/LycomingDTBureau of Dog Law Enforcement—Kennel License #2617

Story
Ruby is an energetic, loving, friendly pup. She loves to run and cuddle. She is house-broken but still has the occasional pee accident. My husband and son are both allergic to her and we have had some landlord issues as well. We love her to death but unfortunately we cannot keep her. She loves to chew things and loves her squeaky toys. Fetch and “tug” are her two favorite games. She would love a large, open yard where she can run around. She has had her shots, but her last round was missed due to a family medical emergency, we were unable to get her in. It would be best for her to restart her vaccines. We will provide her crates and her favorite toys. Please reach out with any questions or interest!
