Story
The day after Christmas some Grinch dropped off these 5 beautiful babies at the Speedway gas station. They were only about 9-weeks old - barely able to be without their mamma, who was not with them. Two little girls and 3 little boys. ♥️ The wonderful people at the gas station took the box in from the cold and called around to find help. Of course, one of our fosters stepped right up! They have now been fully vetted. They have all their age appropriate vaccinations, have been spayed/neutered and microchipped and they are now ready to go to their forever homes! If you would like to add one of these babies, please respond by tapping the big black button marked " Ask About Me" and we will send you an application. These puppies are being fostered in TN but included in your adoption fee is transport to a location near you by Rescue Riders Pet Transport.

Story
Hi there, I`m Shilo! I`m a bundle of energy, always ready to play and explore. My days are full of tail wags and zoomies. I`m friendly with everyone I meet, and I`ve got a goofy side that will surely make you laugh. I love learning new tricks and I`m always eager for a game of fetch. I`m a firm believer in the power of a good belly rub, and I`m convinced that every moment is a good moment for playtime. If you`re looking for a loyal friend with a zest for life, I`m your girl. Adopting me means endless laughter, joy, and adventures together!

Story
This puppy has just arrived! They have come to us on transport from a shelter partner, were found as stray, or surrendered to our care by an owner. Puppies require a significant amount of structure, routine, time, patience, and training to learn how to behave properly in a home. The first few months of having a puppy is a critical time to establish boundaries and help your puppy understand what they can expect from you and what you expect from them. Remember, puppies aren’t born knowing how to live in a human’s world, it is up to you to teach them how to make good decisions in a positive and caring manner. The more positive interactions they have in their first year of life will set them up for better behavior in the future. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Story
Willow aka BooBoo Was adopted at 2months for my Only child because my older husband could not conceive. That was seven years ago! I took care of Willow mostly but he was definitely a family member. Makayla my daughter was tragically killed 10/6/24 and my husband and I were already actively divorcing. Willie deserves fun and happiness like he’s use to before our family was ripped apart. This is a tough decision however I know It’s the best decision. He’s easy going and filled with love and affection. Belly rubs and snuggles is all he’s use to 😔😘

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Almost two years ago, our foster dog Bella found a home with a great family.  Unfortunatley, Bella developed behavior problems and would not get along with the family's other dog.   This forced the family to return Bella to DMPR.  Bella is now looking once again for her forever family. Overall Bella is a great dog with some issues that can be resolved if her new family is committed to taking her to an obedience class.  Bella needs to learn boundaries - when she is given too much freedom, she becomes a high-maintenance diva (or simply put, a brat).  Bella does know some basic obedience commands.  She will sit and come on command.  She also knows when she is doing something wrong - her foster mom will look at her and say in a low voice 'Bel-la' and Bella will stop what she is doing and look at her foster mom and then drop her head low (like she is ashamed she was caught).  However, this is not ideal, as it would be better if Bella didn't do the 'bad' stuff in the first place.  (Bad stuff includes - jumping on the bed, growling at the foster mom's other dogs when there is food out, and jumping on people).  What Bella needs is consistency - she needs to be taught what is the right thing to do, so that she gets to hear lots of 'Yes!  Good girl!'  Bella loves to be with people - she so wants to be a people pleaser.  Her foster mom thinks that positive reinforcement training will go a long way with her.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
