People said that I was roaming the neighborhood for a while and no one knew who I belonged to. The shelter found Critter Cavalry Rescue to take me and I am looking for a home with a retired man because Critter Cavalry has found that I probably was abused by a woman. I can be nice to them but I don't want to live with them. They intimidate me and I am truly very fond of a man's attention. I am good with other dogs and can hang out with and be best friends forever. I love people and I am friends with every dog and cat that I meet. As you can see, I am a happy girl and they tell me that I'm quite pretty too. Meet Jethro, this poor baby was dumped in a corn field where he lived for several weeks. Folks in the area tried to catch him but to no avail so they would leave food and water for him daily. Someone had finally contacted us so we headed out with our trap and caught him on the first night. It appeared that Jethro had never been around people and he was very very shy. He has come a long way but still needs work, this is why getting him into a permanent home is very important. He's the sweetest boy ever and has the most awesome Beagle howl that you have ever heard! You see, Sarah’s bladder isn’t the strongest and she can’t hold it a full workday. She’ll need a family who is home often to provide her access to the bathroom when she needs it or has a fenced yard and doggy door. She is purportedly pee-pad trained, too. Sarah is a friendly Beagle mix, around 7 years of age. She currently weighs 26 lbs., but is a little underweight, so she will likely be 30–35 lbs. once a healthy weight. Sarah is well-behaved and can be trusted to have free roam of the house when alone (i.e., no destructive behaviors). Sarah has spent time around cats and is open to meeting other dogs. Lily is a 6 year old Beagle Dalmatian mix. She is a loving ball of ENERGY. I got her when she was 2.5 months old fun fact: her name was actually bacon bits when I adopted her! I got her from an SPCA shelter in Virgina. She was a rescue from Puerto Rico. Lily struggles with separation anxiety when left alone for long periods of time (tv helps, loves Bluey). I used to be able to be home with her more because of the pandemic, but unfortunately now I have a new job where I am in the office more than I am home. I love this dog more than life she is the sweetest, but I just do not have the time to tend to her energy and provide her the life she deserves. I want to find Lily a new home with experienced dog owners, that preferably don’t have other dogs. I don’t know how she would respond to a home with another pet since she never had that experience. I want to find her a home where she will get the attention and care she needs, as well as plenty of outlets for all her energy.

Lilah is a petite little beagle mix who came into the shelter with an injured eye at very end of 2024. She had the eye removed and recovered well before making her way to PA on 1/18. She doesn't let having one eye slow her down! Lilah is the sweetest little lovebug, curious about her surroundings but much more interested in snuggling up with you. She did very well overnight in the crate with just a little vocalizing upon immediately going in, but settled well as soon as all lights were out. She's not quite fully house-trained but is working hard at it! She's working on basic commands and is extremely treat motivated so we know ongoing training will be a breeze.
