Gracie is an awesome Beagle mix. She weighs about 30lbs but needs to lose a few pounds. Gracie is young, sweet, playful and a quick learner. No cats for Gracie! She wouldn't harm them but she loves to chase them. She is good with other dogs, but she is more dominant and will do best with other dogs who are more submissive or mellow. Gracie would thrive in a situation with someone who works from home because she doesn't like to be alone, unless she has other dogs to be with. Gracie needs a fully fenced yard and ideally an active person who can take her on hikes or runs. She loves to play and do zoomies! I do love turkey though :) I am Wishbone, and I am a bull terrier/beagle mixed boy with a story to tell! I am so smart like a bull terrier- somewhat stubborn, like a bull terrier, but I follow my NOSE like a beagle! I am super cute, only about 40# and I am pretty active. I love to have a hard playing buddy, no small animals (like kitties) as I have a prey drive- like a bull terrier.. you see where I am going with this, right?? I would love have an active family, kids older than grade school as I love a moving target and smaller ones don't quite understand that. I am a love bug, and once tired out I am the bestest cuddler! Introducing Gambit - the name's not just a coincidence; it's a testament to my ability to shape my destiny. Just like my Marvel/X-Men namesake, I've overcome my past and now look forward to a brilliantly bright future. My journey started in a rather somber place - a lonely field next to a gas station. Thankfully, kind souls would drop by, leaving me food and their hopes for a better life. One day, a persistent and resourceful lady decided to play her "pawn" and orchestrated my escape from that grim existence. Since then, I've been living with her and her doggy (and human) family. But now, I'm eagerly searching for my own forever family. Let's talk quirks. I'm a cheerful guy, but I've got some personal space boundaries. I'm protective of my face, so a home with adults or older, dog-savvy kids is my ideal match. I'm also a bit of a goofball and adore the company of other dogs. Now, I might not instantly become your best buddy; I take time to trust and get comfortable in my surroundings. But trust me, the patience will be worth it. I'm brimming with love and loyalty, just waiting for the right family to share it with. Here's the good news - I'm house and crate trained, proving that, yes, young dogs can indeed learn new tricks. Oh, and there's more - I'm pretty chill around cats, though a gentle introduction is wise. And I've been curious and respectful around a human baby, so that's a plus. One thing to note, though, is that I've had some reservations around men. Despite two years together, I haven't quite warmed up to my human's fianc and have snapped at him a few times. So, it might be best if I find a home without men. During a short stay with Kathy, I was a little shy but kept to myself. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a dash of X-Men flair and you're ready to give me the chance I deserve, let's make it happen. Loves to cuddle with you, she can be a velcro dog sometimes and will make your couch her permanent home!. Honey doesn't like to share her affection with others and is adoptable into a single dog/animal home. She does tolerate the foster mom's kitties but honestly she would really love to be the center of someone's life. She has MORE than enough love and devotion to fill your heart every day. Say hello to Calvin! Mr. Calvin here might be the Calvin to your Hobbes, he's so sweet! Calvin was given up by his finder to our rescue recently but he's in good hands. He instantly warmed up and got along with everyone here as soon as we got him. Calvin is a Beagle mix, he's a bit of a bigger boy with his stubby legs- kind of like a super solid beagle but isn't short. Calvin loves getting attention, he'll bump you with his head so you notice and pay attention to him! He'll need a bit of leash work but is very eager to get to work! That is what people notice most about Calvin, is his eagerness. He will need slow introductions to other people and animals as he can warm up to others slowly sometimes.
