Story
Meet Otter! Otter is such a funny guy. He lets you pick him up and play with him, but he really wants to be held like a baby! The cutest thing about Otter is probably that he has the wiggliest tail in the universe! You just have to see it in action. We 100% promise it will make you crack a smile even on a bad day. He is kid friendly, letting a 4 year old walk him around on a leash— talk about an easy going guy! Otter is ready to meet his people! Watch Mr. Beagle boy in action here: https://youtu.be/d_5qLtGTS8o?si=LFHMprmgtU3dsQgP Otter is a very low energy guy, as most beagles are. We can see him being a certified couch potato, following you around the house with those cute puppy dog eyes saying “watcha doin?” Otter loves everyone he meets, and he is not bothered by new people coming and going. Otter really came out of his shell with other doggies around, so he could be a wonderful addition to your pack, or a plus one to a single dog home. As long as your dog or dogs are low to medium energy as well. We can see Otter as a family dog, living his best life playing in a yard with kiddos! He did wonderful when a 4 year old was running around the yard, yelling at things, falling, and being a normal kid. Otter was so sweet to check on him when he fell. We don’t recommend an apartment for this little guy. Well, we say this because if you know beagles, you know how they like to sing for you! As much as we love singing, a home to sing his heart out would be best for Otter. No kitty friends for Otter either! Adopt Otter here: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/67f58e8d3bc94662a909a128 Questions? Email: Elizabethbower@threelittlepittiesrescue.org We facilitate adoptions across the US through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA  or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey! You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!  The adoption fee is $900 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!  We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.  Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!  Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! What my friends at OHS say about me:I have been working with the Behavior team at OHS and I'm looking for a special home. It will take time and patience to get to know me. Click the "meet me" button to start the process and schedule an appointment. To learn more about my specific needs, please read my What to Expect handout.High Energy: I can become easily frustrated if my energy and exercise needs are not met. I will need positive outlets and a calm environment to help me flourish.I am very cute but have proven myself to be quite the exuberant pup!I am just a baby! I will need guidance and patience - plus regular play time with you! Taking a training class will help us bond and help me become a model canine citizen. The type of home I'm looking for:I may do best in a home where there is a resident dog for me to play with!I will need to meet any canine companions prior to getting adopted.I need to go to a home without small children. My energy can be a lot for little kids, but I could do great with older, dog-savvy children. It could be with you! Click here to learn about the adoption process. WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Shaggy Rogers - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Hey all you fabulous people out there, let me introduce myself. I'm Shaggy Rogers and I'm here looking to adopt me a family, a home...one I can say will be all mine! And since you're reading this, I'm hoping that you'll consider making ME a part of yours!!!! I am the smallest in my bunch with my short stubby legs but I'm a stocky fella. I am a tad shy but when I get to know you, I would love to cuddle on your lap. I am very low maintenance and wouldn’t mind laying on the couch all day and watching TV. Oh, and if you have treats, I love you already! My foster mom calls me a “roly poly” because I like treats just a little too much! If you are looking for a little bundle of joy, who just wants to hang out all day, then look no further because we would be a perfect match! I'm about 4 months old and come in at around 11lbs. I should be a great size that should be under 25lb when I get myself all the way growed up. I'm gonna be that perfectly pawsome size for ALL adventures, from the mundane daily to your weekend exciting! I am a loving lil fella that loves his people both tall and small but do remember I still have those sharp lil teeth and nails. I has got a beautiful coat and such an expressive face you'll have a hard time telling me 'no' even when getting into puppy shenanigans!! I has got a sweet nature that does love to run around and play with all the other foster pups here. I do really well playing with the other pups but I haven't had the pleasure of meeting any of those creatures y'all call a cat yet, but at my young age and with proper introductions I should be fine with them too! I am sooooo ready to unleash all this awesomeness and be that lil heartbeat at your feet. So, if you think I could be a pawsome fit for you and your lifestyle, please stop scrolling and fill out my adoption application! It can be found at haydudeequine.org

Story
Meet Frankie – Your Gentle, Loving Companion Frankie is a sweet and gentle Beagle and MinPin mix (maybe?!) with a heart full of love. Estimated at 5 years old and weighing 20 lbs, this affectionate boy is the perfect companion for a singleton looking for a loyal friend who enjoys both play and relaxation. He loves a good game of fetch but is just as happy curling up beside you, resting his head in your lap for a cozy snuggle. Frankie is great on a leash, making him a wonderful walking partner for leisurely strolls, but he’s also content soaking up the sun in his own yard. His kind and gentle nature shines through in everything he does, from the way he greets new friends to the soft, careful way he takes treats. Frankie gets along well with other dogs of all sizes, and shares his toys well. He would do best in a home without cats, as he may chase them. With kids, he would do best with older kids who can be more calm and predictable, and respect his space. Shy at first, he will warm up to you quickly. If you’re looking for a loving, easygoing companion who will bring warmth and joy to your life, Frankie is the perfect match! Story
If your taste says designer, but your heart says rescue- you’re in for a treat! We think Kelley is a Beagle, Dauchshund mix, aka the cutest mix you could possibly imagine!! She is a rescue, so this is of course a guess- but the cuteness is undeniable. She’s estimated to be around 7 years old, and weighs in at 36 pounds. Fall in love with Kelley here: https://youtu.be/BTDBRS5wzok?feature=shared Kelley is a cutie through and through, her favorite place to be is anywhere comfy. She’s a big fan of couches, bean bag chairs and dog beds. She can be a snugglebug with the humans she loves most, and she doesn’t mind being picked up and held. A true lapdog type! At an estimated seven years old, Kelley has already learned the ropes, and she’s a ready-made good dog! She doesn’t have indoor potty accidents, and she walks perfectly on the leash. She can be a little bit shy with new people, but gentle voices, walks, and patience are the key to her heart. Once you’ve won her over, you have a friend for life! She’s besties with her dog walker Nathan, who understandably adores her right back. Within a few minutes of meeting me, she let me pet her and even came back for seconds. Kelley is dog friendly, and BFFs with a chihuahua mix half her size. The two have the sweetest friendship, bouncing around each other with wagging tails every time they meet. She’s a little shy with newer dogs, slow and sweet intros are the foundation for a good friendship with Kelley. We’ve seen her meet a large dog friendly goofy male Pittie mix, who she coexisted well with. We think a goofy medium-energy male would be a perfect doggy-sibling match for her in her forever home. Kelley has her bags packed and she’s ready for her forever home. She’s an older lady, and ready for retirement in a home on the calmer side- free of the hustle and bustle of shared walls and close quarters. She’ll require a patient adopter willing to stick to our standard decompression protocol, which will allow her to warm up in her own time. While she could live with other dogs, she’s also people-loving enough to thrive as an only dog. We don’t, however, recommend her for a home with kitties- we think she’s a bit of a chaser, but she says it’s all in good fun! We are willing to test Kelley with anything you need us to in order to ensure she is the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know.
