Story
As we head into the holidays, please meet Buzz, a gorgeous Beagle Mix who is going to bring holiday cheer to his forever family all year round. With a sweet personality and medium energy, he's the perfect companion for lounging in the sun or taking a car ride to join you in picking up the kids from school or running errands. Arriving at the shelter as a stray, Buzz is always calm and friendly while meeting new people, other pups and even cats! At approximately one year in age, Buzz needs a little work on housetraining and would absolutely love having a fenced-in yard where his hound nose will be kept in check while he romps and plays in the grass. He does have a preference for private dining, however, and would most prefer not to have to share his food with other animals. We're betting Buzz's favorite pastime will be exploring and sniffing out every wonder the outdoors offers. His keen hound sense makes him an excellent companion for anyone who enjoys active days and peaceful evenings. Buzz has a medium energy level and gets along with other dogs easily. He would love a family of any size, as long as it is filled with lots of love! Buzz is looking for a forever home where he can cultivate a lifetime of memories with a loving family. Could you be the one to reap the rewards of this loyal companion's affection. If so, contact the Brooke County Animal Shelter at 304-394-0800 or animalshelterbc@yahoo.com for more information.December 15, 2024, 8:50 pm

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ORVILLE, PLEASE GO TO OUR WEBSITE TO READ ABOUT THE PROCESS AND FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION. www.furkidrescue.org Orville was rescued by a good Samaritan in Arkansas, when he was founded at an abandoned home. He was underweight, covered in fleas and ticks, and very weak. Once we got him to our vet we found that he was anemic, the fleas had sucked all of his blood. He is also heartworm positive, and he’s started the beginning of heartworm treatment. He’s feeling so much better and is on the path to good health! Orville is feeling better now, and his personality has started to show. He shows signs of being abused. He is not going to be a good first dog for someone, and he will need someone who’s dog savvy, and will give him space to settle in his environment.

Story
WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Bentley - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Hello, hello! Let me introduce myself, I'm Bentley. I'm here searching for a new family where I'll have a home, for always. You see, I had a wonderful loving home until my person passed away. The 'other' family didn't want me and just dropped me off at the shelter. I just lost my person and now have lost my home too! But I'm still a loving sweet boy that would love to have another person(s) to bestow all my love! I am so ready for Christmas, is Santa coming to grant my wish? I am a total sweetheart that will have your heart wrapped right around my little paw in no time flat! I love people both tall and small and do fantastic with other pups and even the resident kitty too!! I am house broken and crate trained, letting us get right to the fun stuff right away!! I like going for our walks around the property but I'm more of a meanderer then a cruiser. I'm at that stage in my life where I like to stop and smell the flowers instead of bulldozing right over them! And there's not much that beats a good splash in the river on those walks. Coming in at around 50lbs I could stand to lose a few pounds so those walks will sure help with that. I would make a great companion type pup for someone retired or that works from home. I would even make a great first time dog parent pup. Are you looking for that calm mellow fella that will be happy just to be in the same room? Are you looking for that someone to share in your daily life's going on's from the mundane daily to the weekend exciting? That FBF (furry best friend), that constant in your life that will never turn down belly rubs or treats? Oh wait, yep...that'd be ME!!! Please stop and fill out my adoption application, I am so looking forward to being that lil heartbeat at your feet. It can be found at haydudeequine.org

Story
Frank is 3 1/2 years old. He’s a sweet dog. We got him when he was about 8 weeks old. He’s a great outdoor dog, loves the rivers, hiking, long walks. He’s very cuddly and very needy. He requires lots of cuddles, lots of attention, and lots of love. He thrives off routine and is very adaptable. We would love for whoever is interested in Frank to know these things as he requires a lot of time. He is not the type of dog to get for a kid that will get sick of him when something shinier and new comes along. He is a great guard dog and will alert you if anyone is near the property. He does great with other dogs as one could expect. There are some dogs who don’t like him and some dogs he does not like but he usually has no issue. He frequented dog parks most his life and LOVED it. He loves toys especially ones with the squeaker sound. He is a what you see is what you get type of dog.
