Let's talk about this sad story right here! This guy, rocky, has grown up, literally in the shelter. One of the volunteers who walks the dogs goes there every day and takes them for a long walk! She cries every time she thinks about how long he's been there, especially because he is so perfect, he's great with kids! He's great with other dogs. He loves to walk he's kennel trained he's happy all the time his tail never stops wagging it just goes to show you what a special boy he is having been at the Shelter for so long and he still has a beautiful disposition , we would love to get this guy his family. He has a lot of happy energy and loves to explore all the smells in the yard. For a beagle he is relatively quiet but will sometimes howl when he is chasing an interesting smell. Dislikes:Sam has been fine when left alone for 3-4 hours with another dog in the house but would probably not do well if left without another dog. He is generally not a chewer but if left alone for too long he gets bored and can get himself in trouble. He has an aversion to the crate and is not crateable but will gladly snuggly you in bed. Sam is a bit of an escape artist so caution when opening doors and fences is a must. He has not shown any interest in jumping our fence but he does have some impressive jumping skills.  Sam is a fun dog and loves people and dogs. He may need a slow introduction to other dogs but once he meets them, he loves them. Sam gets along great with the resident dogs and will happily lay on them and wiggle into their space. If you're looking for a silly dog with a lot of spunk and personality, same is your guy! Samual's adoption fee is $350. All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, worming, flea and heartworm current. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative. I am gentle and polite with all my doggy friends and I really love to cuddle with my humans. I cannot wait to find a family all my own who will provide me all the love and attention I deserve! We rescued Desi around 5 years ago and we thought she was an elderly dog. As it turns out she had been neglected and likely abused. After a few months she blossomed and turned into a happy puppy. We found out at the time she was likely around 2 years old when we adopted her. She's a great dog and listens well. She sits, shakes, and her primary goal is just to be a "good dog". Unfortunately, my wife and I have a very busy schedule while both working full time and we have a 7 month old baby. So, we are concerned she is not getting the attention she deserves. She deserves the best!

Hello, my name is Dot! I am a 5 year old, 31lb Beagle who came to CHA from one of their partner shelters. I am a very docile, loving girl, and my caretakers tell me I`m a heartbreaker. One look into my big ol` puppy-dog eyes and I`ll have you falling in love. I enjoy long walks and stopping to smell the roses (or really anything and everything!).
