He is DASH's prison training program where he is learning basic commands.  It can take Oliver a little while to warm up, but once he does he is so loving and affectionate. We are confident that with the right person and our training program, he will gain confidence and a trust for people. His handler says that he loves to run and play with other dogs and would do great with a yard. Online Adoption Application › WHERE ARE OUR WORK FROM HOME FRIENDS??  Butters has been dubbed a great dog with very good manners and would love to share your home office work space!  His trainer says he is gentle with puppies and small dogs.  At such a young age, this beagle mix has learned to let his person know when he needs to go potty. He loves to play with K9 friends, shares his toys and does NOT get grumpy about sharing his food. He doesn't mind a good rub-a-dub-dub in the tub as long as it means he gets to cuddle on the couch with you. Butters is a good mix of affectionate and energetic. He does well in crowds and hasn't met a stranger he didn't like. Butters is in the DASH Training Program and is learning basic commands but is picking them up really quickly.  However, he has been known to have a "puppy" attention span at times. He can be vocal in the crate and is still working on leash training. He loves a good conversation with other dogs, especially if they are barking at a distance but will stop upon command. He is social and has proven to do well in crowds. His trainer says, "Butters likes to play fetch, gets excited when playing, is a very friendly pup. He has a gentle nature to his little personality".  He has not been tested with children or cats so a proper introduction is in order. ABOUT ME… Hi, I’m Lulu! I’m a sweet 7-year-old Beagle/Blue Heeler mix with a heart full of love. Though I recently lost my owner, I’m bravely adjusting to this new chapter with a wagging tail and a hopeful heart. I love being outside — sniffing, exploring, and soaking up the sunshine is my favorite way to spend the day. When the adventures are over, I’m all about snuggles and cozy nights in. I am fully potty trained and have no need with a crate, as I never chew on anything I’m not supposed to! I AM GREAT WITH… Kids! I’m gentle and patient, and I love having little humans to keep me company. I AM NOT GOOD WITH… I’m still figuring out how I feel about some new experiences, so a calm and understanding home would be best while I continue to adjust. I AM STILL WORKING ON… Getting used to new routines. I’ve only ever known life with my previous owner, so I’m learning how to feel comfortable in different environments. I REQUIRE… Lots of outdoor time! A home with a yard or someone who loves taking walks would be a dream come true for me. And, of course, plenty of love, patience, and belly rubs. **All animals in our care are spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (age 1 & up), given preventatives, and provided with initial vaccinations AT MINIMUM. ABOUT ME… Hiya! I’m Benjamin, but you can call me Benji. I’m a two year old Beagle mix and I’m the happiest dog you will ever meet. My previous elderly owner decided to rehome me because she couldn’t keep up with my energy and I sometimes got out the front door and barked at cars. But my foster dad has been working on teaching me to keep back from the door when he opens it and has been practicing my recall. I’m not perfect at it but I’m learning really fast and I’m very eager to please. I do love running around the yard and playing, so a fenced yard is a must for me. I also enjoy curling up on the couch with you to watch some tv. I’m untested around cats and children. My foster dad can’t speak to the cat part, but thinks with my friendly demeanor I would probably do well with children. I AM GREAT WITH… Going outside to go potty, going into my crate at night or when my foster dad leaves the house. I love everyone after I meet them first. I AM STILL WORKING ON… Leash manners and not running out the door when you open it.
