Story
UPDATE Sissy as shown in the newest picture priviously an only dog shows that she has. decided to smuggle with another furry friend, who knew? a very peasant surprise indeed. She proves that seniors can do new things. UPDATE 9/4/24 Sissy has had a chiropractor adjustment. She is warming up to people. Knowing that she was raised by a lady in an apartment lets us know how comfortable she would be in a similar situation. She also "Baroo"'s when she wants to go outside to potty. Her weight looks good on her at 27#'s now. One other dog for a companion would be ideal and multiple dogs may overwhelm her as something she isn't used to during her 16 yrs. Time spent acclimating her to more dogs may do her good to learn. Sissy can be left alone for a period of time, would curl up and sleep Im sure. Sissy, 16 yrs old in March 2024, was taken in from a one time owner who is currently in a Nursing Home. This wonderful lady spent some time overweight but is now at a prime 28#'s. She is spayed, agile with a very slight limp, takes treats gently, has been in mulitple dog homes for visits, on thyroid medication controlled and maintained. She lived in a first floor apartment but has shown she can do steps. Sissy can potty on leash or in a fenced in area. She isn't a typical lap dog but friendly loves to be petted on the head. As with all dogs Sissy learned silly habits and if you scratch her back end she thinks shes going outside for a walk. She keeps a subtle awareness of her surroundings.

Story
Carson is a brown and white beabull who is 7 years old. Leo is also a beabull and is tan and is 5 years old. Both are about 60 pounds. I have had Carson for 6 years and Leo for 5. Due to life style changes and them not getting along with other dogs I need to find them a new loving home. I would very much like to keep them together. They would work best in a home with adults who are home often. They love attention. They almost always get along but get into little spats from time to time like any other siblings. They do not get along with other dogs when I am near. However I have taken them to daycare and board them and they have no issues with other dogs there. They get along with the cat that I have They have not been around kids. Carson does have some slight allergies that cause him to bite and lick at his paws. These are managed with a shot about every 3 months or as needed. Leo sometimes has a sore right back leg but it does not prevent him from getting around or playing.

Story
Please note: Henry is currently in a temporary foster home and not at the shelter. From his foster dad:Happy New Year! I`m Henry. I am celebrating the new year with a foster family looking to start 2025 in a new permanent home. My Birthday is in January, I`d like nothing more than to be settled for my birthday, I made my birthday wish already, it`s for a family of course, so help it come true. My foster family has taken me shopping at Lowes, we went up and down every aisle, all were accident free. I was well behaved, no barking and I put a smile on everyone`s face as I passed by. I have a lab mix foster sister; she is helping me learn the ropes. I am still working on my potty training skills, I do not love all treats, it`s true, but I am not a picky eater. I have a lot of energy; I love all chew and or squeak toys. I give many hugs; kisses and I love attention. I do jump and get excited so an energetic family would be great. When my family comes home, I get really excited, and I am always happy to see them. I am tan and have distinct white markings, deep brown eyes and I am beagle and bulldog. My tail is docked. I love to be outside, sniff, explore smell and trot around. I enjoy picture windows and looking outside, I bark occasionally my foster sister is teaching me about barking. I am good in the car, I enjoy sightseeing. New sounds like the garage door going up or the vacuum can spook me. I do love attention; lets me you`ll see in person just how friendly I am. Come to PAS, meet me and help me celebrate my first birthday! “The bond with a true dog is as lasting as the ties of this earth will ever be.”Konrad Lorenz Zoologist Please remember when adopting a pet:First 3 days: Initial decompression, getting used to the new surroundings and people. Next 3 weeks: Learning routines and building bonds with the family. First 3 months: Full integration into the household, feeling comfortable and secure. Thanks,Henry Just look at this face with the soulful eyes and forehead wrinkles. Meet Henry. Henry is a male bea-bull (beagle and bulldog) that weighs 45 pounds. He is 10 months old. His DOB is 2-19-24. Henry came to us as an owner surrender through no fault of his own. Henry is ALL puppy. He is a friendly and happy boy that would be a great co-pilot in the car. He loves to be around people and other dogs. He has as high energy le
