Story
Silas is a great dog, about 11 months old. Our experience is that he’s been good with kids and other dogs. He’s pretty well housebroken. We feel he needs a place he has room to run and possibly take hunting. He’s an adolescent male and has a lot of hound in him and too much energy/playfulness for what we were wanting. He’s friendly and doesn’t bark much except for whimpering when he’s in his kennel.

She cries every time she thinks about how long he's been there, especially because he is so perfect, he's great with kids! He's great with other dogs. He loves to walk he's kennel trained he's happy all the time his tail never stops wagging it just goes to show you what a special boy he is having been at the Shelter for so long and he still has a beautiful disposition , we would love to get this guy his family. Story
Meet Ruthie, a sweet 3-year-old purebred Beagle who embodies all the lovable traits of her breed! At around 20 lbs, she’s the perfect size for cuddles—and she loves to snooze under the covers or in a cozy laundry basket. Ruthie is house-trained, leash-trained, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and kids. She’s a low-energy, laid-back girl who enjoys exploring the yard with her nose to the ground and letting out the occasional Beagle howl. If you’re looking for a well-rounded, loving companion, Ruthie is your girl! Once adopted she will travel via the Rescue Transport to her new family. They travel each and every weekend from Memphis, Tennessee to the north east, delivering pups along the way as far north as West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Transport is an additional $185. If you would like to make this cutie part of your family please follow the link below to our adoption application. Our turnaround time is typically less than 24 hours so please be prepared before you submit your application. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

Story
Dog's Name: Samuel L Jackson Gender: Male Current Age: Around 12-18 months Current Age Range: Young Adult (6 months to 1 year) Current Weight: 28lbs Expected Adult Size: Medium (25-50 lbs) Breed: Beagle Energy Level: Medium- High Dog Friendliness: Yes, and requires another dog in the home. Requires a slow introduction but definitely needs another dog, especially if he will be left alone. Cat Friendliness: Unknown Kid Friendliness: Yes any age Apartment Friendly: No Physical Fence: Physical fence required, any height Crate Trained: No and cannot be in crate Potty Trained: Yes Ideal Home / Adopter: Sam would do best in a home with another dog and people that are home a lot. He has a lot of happy energy and loves to explore all the smells in the yard. For a beagle he is relatively quiet but will sometimes howl when he is chasing an interesting smell. Sam has injured himself escaping from a crate so crates aren't for him. Likes: Sam would do best in a home with another dog and people that are home a lot. He has a lot of happy energy and loves to explore all the smells in the yard. For a beagle he is relatively quiet but will sometimes howl when he is chasing an interesting smell. Sam has injured himself escaping from a crate so crates aren't for him. Dislikes:Sam has been fine when left alone for 3-4 hours with another dog in the house but would probably not do well if left without another dog. He is generally not a chewer but if left alone for too long he gets bored and can get himself in trouble. He has an aversion to the crate and is not crateable but will gladly snuggly you in bed. Sam is a bit of an escape artist so caution when opening doors and fences is a must. He has not shown any interest in jumping our fence but he does have some impressive jumping skills.  Sam is a fun dog and loves people and dogs. He may need a slow introduction to other dogs but once he meets them, he loves them. Sam gets along great with the resident dogs and will happily lay on them and wiggle into their space. If you're looking for a silly dog with a lot of spunk and personality, same is your guy! Samual's adoption fee is $350. All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, worming, flea and heartworm current. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative. If you are interested in adopting, apply at rescuedohio.org to become an approved adopter and a meet & greet can be set up once approved. ##2163595##

Story
Name: Bailey / Zuppa Gender: Female Age: 1 year 3 months Current Weight: 47 lbs Expected Adult Size: Medium (25-50 lbs) Breed: Beagle Mix Energy Level: Medium Dog Friendly: Yes, and can have other dogs in the home or can be an only dog Compatible Types if Dog Selective: Cat Friendly: Unknown Kid Friendly: Yes to kids 8 years old or older Apartment Friendly: No Physical Fence Requirement: Physical fence preferred but not required with regular walks/exercise Crate Trained: Yes  Potty Trained: Yes Ideal Home/Adopter: Bailey's ideal home with have a large backyard to run and play! She loves to use her nose outdoors and sniff every inch of the yard. The more to explore, the better. Bailey can be talkative, so would not be ideal for an apartment situation. Likes: Bailey loves any toy that squeaks! She loves playing with balls, and sometimes will even play fetch with herself. She enjoys going on car rides (you'll be her best friend if you take her on a daily car ride). She loves being a lap dog and taking an afternoon snooze on your lap. She is happiest when laying on the back of the couch with her family in the sunshine. Bailey ultimately just loves to play and be busy. She has started attending daycare and loves the ability to play with friends! Dislikes: There is not much Bailey doesn't like! She is one of the happiest dogs with a bright future ahead of her. Bailey is not thrilled being left alone and does struggle with a little separation anxiety, but makes progress everyday and is very managable. Additional Considerations: Bailey was born to RO with the Soup Litter. Although was returned, this does not define who she is. She is happy, with the passion for playing. She will play hard, but will also nap harder! She sleeps in a crate all night. She's potty trained, and uses the bell to tell you when she needs to go outside. Loves other dogs, which includes going to daycare to play all day. She has been deemed "talkative," so not ideal for apartment living. She's beyond the puppy years, and has been trained in many things (sit, stay, kennel, etc).  What makes this dog special: Her ears! They are soft, long and heavy. She doesn't mind when you play with them and actually enjoys it. Watching her run with those big ears is hilarious! She was born to RO, and we've been able to watch her grow into a beautiful girl. Her coloring has changed from when she was a puppy and has the prettiest spots.  Bailey's adoption fee is $350. ##1878107##

She thrives on companionship and will be your loyal shadow. If you adore the quirky, lovable traits of a classic hound, Bella will steal your heart – she’s the epitome of a true hound dog! She’s still working on learning commands, so she needs an owner ready to invest time in her training. Likes: Bella is a sweetheart with a big appetite for love and attention! She adores being petted, gets excited to meet other dogs, and is naturally good-natured. Walks are one of her favorite activities, and she’ll gladly join you on any adventure. Oh, and food? She’s a certified foodie who never says no to a tasty treat! Dislikes: Bella isn’t a fan of sharing her meals with other dogs and will let them know it. Bella’s good-natured personality makes her a joy to be around, but she needs a dedicated, patient owner to help her reach her full potential. Her previous owner wasn’t able to provide training, so she’s starting fresh and eager to learn. Bella’s cheery personality is unmatched, and she has a unique way of making you feel loved. When you come home, she greets you with her signature celebratory howl – a heartwarming “welcome home” you’ll never forget!
