Story
Jackson Browne and Prince are brothers. They were born on May 4th, 2016. They're eight and a half. Their mother was a beagle and their father was half St. Bernard and half water dog of some kind. Jackson is white with brown markings and he weighs 90lbs, Prince is brown with white markings and weighs 80lbs. We've had some home issues and were trying to get them fixed when a pipe burst in our basement. There was a lot of water damage and now we have black mold and have to get out immediately. We can't take the dogs with us, we have to stay in an apartment and they don't allow large dogs. The mother of these sweet boys climbed into my lap to give birth to them. They've never been away from me or each other. My heart is broken. They are sweet and snuggly, they love ear rubs and belly rubs and lots of hugs. Jack has hip trouble and takes Cosequin daily. They both have seasonal allergies and take Claritin. If they're extra itchy they take Benadryl. Please help, they need a home and love! 💕

Story
Pitaya's Story Pitaya was rescued from a hoarding situation in Southern Kentucky in August. The property had over 40 dogs, and Pitaya was one of them. She arrived in our care infested with fleas and ticks, dirty, and nursing a litter of 8 newborn puppies. Since then, Pitaya has been treated for fleas and ticks, tested for diseases, and has weaned her puppies. We've learned a lot about her, but her past has left its mark. Pitaya is a nervous dog who requires a patient and understanding home. Important Requirements No Children: Pitaya cannot be placed in a home with kids, visiting or resident. Privacy Fence: A 6ft privacy fence is mandatory. No exceptions. Female-Only Household: Men make Pitaya nervous, and she may fear-bite. Existing Dog: Pitaya prefers a home with another dog for companionship. Cats: Pitaya gets along with cats but needs to be separated when left alone. Limited Socialization: Pitaya won't be a dog for public outings or crowds. Despite these challenges, we know Pitaya will thrive with the right owner. If you think you can provide the patient, gentle home Pitaya needs, please fill out an adoption application. Her foster mom will be in touch to discuss further.

Story
January 2024: Estee is a sweet loving dog who loves to be petted. Because of her background she needs a quiet home with secure fencing. She would make a excellent pet for older person or couple. She is now around 4 years old and 20 lbs. Soft ears and soft eyes! She still has some accidents in her crate if left over 6 hours. She will use pads and goes outside easily. She prefers a few zoomies in the yard and then a nice dog bed. Does great with the other dogs, cats unknown. Not a mean bone in her body. February 2023: She is doing great, will make a fine family member for a quiet home with a physical fenced in yard. She is still a flight risk so no small children with the house doors. She must have a secure fence. May 2022: Estee was pulled from Bracken County. She was found as a stray and was likely an unsocialized puppy living away from people. For the first two months she was terrified to come in from outside (carried for 2 months) and a month after that to go out on her own. She is still a little leery of doorways. Estee is 2 years old and 20 lbs. She is the sweetest pup, who is doing great going outside for potty. she does us her crate and will, potty in it sometimes. Freds Mission Rescue has an adoption radius of 100 miles from Cincinnati. All dogs are fully vetted, altered, current on flea/tick/heartworm/wormer, and microchipped. The rescue does not adopt out to properties with invisible fences or tie outs. Application: https://form.jotform.com/FredsMission/app

Story
Meet Sable!  Sable is an absolutely adorable 1 year old, 17lb Beagle.  Sable might seem shy in the first minute you meet her but once she gets a few pets, she'll be happily wagging in no time. She'll be your best friend if you have treats.   Sable is a big fan of all toys from stuffed animals to tennis balls. She's game for anything. When Sable first came to her foster home, she had a few accidents. Learning a routine has been key to her success with housetraining. Sable is easy to handle on a leash and is comfortable with a harness on as well. She knows SIT and is working on other commands.  Sable is fostered in the Cincinnati area. If you're looking for a pint size pooch to fall in love with, come meet her at the next adoption event!  Sable is fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $300.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Introducing Chettering, the irresistible 2-year-old beagle mix with a sunny disposition and a tail that never stops wagging! This charming canine charmer is on a quest to find his forever family who can match his enthusiasm for snuggles and playtime. He is named after Charles Kettering because he was wandering in Kettering for over a month!  Chettering is not just your average pup—he's a master at making friends with both humans and dogs alike. His social calendar is always full, whether he's sharing toys at the dog park or cuddled up on the couch with his favorite humans. When he's not busy being everyone's best friend, Chettering showcases his impressive skills: he's potty trained (no accidents here!) and has mastered the art of sitting like a true gentleman (with the occasional adorable tilt of the head for extra cuteness). Looking for a companion who can bring endless joy and laughter into your life? Chettering is your guy! Come meet him and see for yourself why his tail wags at the speed of light whenever he sees a potential new friend.  Chettering is neutered and up to date on vaccines. She has never had an accident in the house or even jumped on the furniture. She is very eager to please her person.   Gena is very smart and knows some commands. She is great for baths and will jump right in the tub for you.  She likes to play but is also just happy to lay around the house and chew on bones.  Beautiful Gena is pretty much near perfect but does need work on her leash manners.
