**WE ARE CURRENTLY DOING ADOPTIONS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. YOU MUST CALL TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING. PLEASE LEAVE US A VOICEMAIL IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO REACH US. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING.- CCDP STAFF** Hi there. My name is Miles. I'm about 4 months old and I weigh about 20 lbs. I was surrendered to the pound and I am now looking for a loving new family to join. I am a super sweet and affectionate little puppy filled with loads of shenanigans. I will need a family that is able to help teach me potty training and basic commands. If you're looking for a sweet puppy to add to your family, please consider adopting me. Our adoption fee is $152. We accept cash, check or credit/ debit cards for adoption fees. If you pay using a credit or debit card, a convenience fee of 2.39% will also be applied. If paying by check, you will need 2. One Check will be for the dog license, and one will be for your dog's adoption fee, which includes heartworm testing (for dogs 6 months of age old and older), parvo/distemper vaccine, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, 3 days of panacur de-wormer, spay or neuter surgery, microchip, and a current Ohio dog license. We DO offer foster to adopt. (We will NOT accept cash for foster to adopt). We highly recommend you do a foster to adopt with your new dog if you are not 100% sure your new dog is going to work out in your home. Foster to adopt gives you a couple of weeks with the dog to make sure they are a good fit with your family before your payment is processed and the adoption is finalized. ALL DOGS/PUPPIES WILL BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED unless a health issue prohibits the surgery from being performed. Not all dogs posted for adoption are spayed/ neutered yet. If you're driving a long distance to adopt, please verify that the vetting process has been completed and dog you're interested in adopting is still available for adoption. The above mentioned vetting is all included in your adoption fee. The adoption fee and what is included in the adoption fee is NON-NEGOTIABLE. Adoptions MUST be done at the pound and in person as there is paperwork to fill out and an adoption contract that must be signed by the adopter. This means you must be willing to travel to our shelter to adopt. If the dog you're interested in adopting has medical conditions or injuries which require medical treatment, we ask that you help with the medical bills, in addition to their adoption fee if possible so we can continue to help the dogs coming in who need additional vet care. We are a county run shelter, therefore we cannot control our intake or the health or behavior of the dogs that come in to our shelter. Although we try our hardest to place all of our adoptable dogs, there are certain circumstances in which any dog in our care could be euthanized at any time and without further notice (IE: sudden untreatable medical condition or injury, temperament or behavioral problems which may not be apparent when the dog first arrives, etc.), therefore all dogs at our shelter should be considered urgent. We try our absolute hardest to never have to euthanize for space and have not had to do so for many years thanks to the ongoing support from the public and high adoption rates. Please remember; the adoption of a more highly adoptable dog will mean more time for the less adoptable dog in the kennel next to him! Shelter hours are Monday-Friday: 8 am- 4 pm. Saturday, Sunday and holidays: 8 am - 12 pm. Adoptions are always welcome any day of the week/ weekend and on holidays. We are here everyday to care for the dogs and the best way to make our day is to see our dogs go to loving families. There is nobody in the office on Saturday, Sunday or holidays, so therefore, we are unable to answer or return phone calls over the weekend. We are only staffed to take care of the dogs and do adoptions over the weekends/ on holidays. Can't adopt a dog? We would love to have more volunteers who are able to spend time with our dogs! The dogs LOVE going for walks and the socialization and exercise helps make the dogs more adoptable. Story
Cocoa and Cinnamon are around 11 years old. My mother had to go into a nursing home and we need to rehome them. I've tried to keep them but they don't get along with my own elderly dog or my cats; it could be because they're confused about the change, or because they've never been around other animals. I currently have them in my basement, where they spend about 22 hours a day (they only come out for walks, which they love, and they do great on a leash). Obviously, this is no life for a dog! They've been having accidents, which again may be behavioral because of their life upheaval, so they've been wearing doggie diapers. The two need to stay together--they're always together, and will sleep in the same bed, and if I tie them out on nice days they'll sit right next to each other even when they have long leads for exploring. They are VERY affectionate and loving and want nothing more than to be lap dogs, like they were at my mom's. They're excellent watch dogs and good companions.

Story
Cinnamon and Cocoa were my mom's dogs; she had to go into a nursing home and now these 11-year-olds need a loving home. They're bonded and need to stay together. Unfortunately they did not get along with my dog or cats, as they've never been with other animals, so they need someone with either no other pets or the patience to train them. They love to go for walks, snuggle, chew on toys and treats, and be your closest companions! Someone who can be home with them all day like a retiree or someone who works from home would be ideal. They get along with everyone from kids to the elderly and want nothing more than to be lap dogs. They sleep in their beds (often sharing a bed), but would be happy snoozing on your couch, if you let them. I absolutely cannot keep them, so if you're considering adopting a couple of happy, friendly little dogs, please consider giving these boys a home where they can live out their days.

Story
Meet Lira! This 6-month-old beagle mix is a sweet, playful girl who is both people- and dog-friendly. While she may be a bit shy and timid at first, she warms up quickly and will soon become your best friend! Lira loves to cuddle with her humans, play with other dogs, and chew on her toys. As with most puppies, Lira is still learning and needs some guidance, especially when it comes to chewing on rugs or other non-toys. She’s doing well with housebreaking and is crate-trained, although she might be vocal when first put in her crate. Thankfully, she settles down quickly. Lira would thrive with a doggie friend to help build her confidence. She hasn’t met kids or cats yet, so a careful introduction would be necessary. Lira is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, and current on heartworm, flea, and tick prevention. Her adoption fee is $300. The first step in the process is to complete an adoption application on our website at www.rescue330.org. Give Lira the loving home she deserves! ##2207142##

Hi there, I`m Zoey! I am one sweet girl, full of love and fun. I am energetic, excited, and ready to seize the day. I love to play and be goofy. I playing outside and soaking up the sunshine. I am crate trained and like to hang out in it when my family is out. I am quite strong and still learning to walk with manners, so I need someone with Zoey muscles to walk me! The staff here have me learning to wear a harness and practice basic obedience, which is helping. I would absolutely love to be the only animal in the home and soak up all your attention and affections. Come meet me today! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog`s better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial canine distemper combination vaccination- first worming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)- 24 Petwatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neutering-heartworm testingAdoption fee: $135.00Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2024 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older.
