Story
Hazel is a Beagle mix dog. Our family originally brought her home from an Amish sawmill in Clarion, PA when she was just a pup. She is now 7 years old, or roughly 49 in dog years. She is wonderful around children, spunky with cats, but will love them up with time. Our life situation over the last year has been one where we have not been able to give her the attention she needs, and will probably be so for an unforseen amount of time. She is ready for a new home and will easily accept whoever adopts her.

Story
Hello! My name is Lacy. I am a super sweet, funny, affectionate girl, looking for a FOSTER home. If you notice my eye, I have a medical issue called `cherry eye.` The awesome medical crew here at the shelter are going to fix it for me, but I would love to go to foster while I wait for surgery and then recover! I am quite the round little chunk of love! I would really enjoy a family who will help me eat healthy, keep me active, play with me, and take me on adventures. I enjoy walks and getting to sniff all around. My favorite place is the office here; I get to sit with the staff while they work and keep them company. I love pets and cuddles, I am quiet and gentle, and I am so ready for a forever home. Please come meet me today!Lacy is Foster to Adopt! If you want to meet her, take her to foster, and then adopt her...well what are you waiting for? This sweetie is ready to meet you today! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog`s better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial canine distemper combination vaccination- first worming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)- 24 Petwatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neutering-heartworm testingAdoption fee: $135.00Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2025 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older. The cost of the license is $9.20. (Senior Citizen or Person with Disability-$7.20)Leash and collar included

Story
Mako is a sweet and loving boy who we would like to see in the caring home of experienced dog adopters to help minimize his separation anxiety and drive for connectedness with his humans. We adopted Mako from Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh in June 2023, and he is currently about 9 years old and loves walks, sniffing and exploring a fenced in yard, and cuddling on the couch. We're considering rehoming him because, while he always showed some anxiety, the comfort he found after moving into our home seems to have been irreversibly disrupted since September, when our second child was born. While he is amazing with children and other dogs - extremely calm, nonreactive, and just the right amount of friendly - we're beginning to feel that his quality of life requires human(s) that have more time and attention to offer, and potentially even someone who can remain at home during the day to improve his feelings of security. We will miss him dearly, but hope you can love him as we have!
