WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Spot - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Hi ya world, let me introduce myself. My name is Spot and I've got lots of those but just one brown one beside my left eye!! I'm a goofball of a youngster who has never met a stranger but is looking for the opportunity to find my bestie. I'm about 8 months, born in December of 2023. I wants to find a loving forever home where I can have more time with my humans or even a doggy sibling. A home where my people are around more, maybe working from home, would be ideal. I'm not fond of being by myself for too long! I'm good with kids and other dogs but other animals are unknown. I knows basic commands like sit, stay, down, leave it, drop it, and I stops and waits to hear the keyword “cross” before crossing the street when on a loose leash walk. And my walks are the highlight of my day! I'm pretty chill when hanging out with my person but am playful when you're ready. I love my toys, napping close by you and romping around with my doggie friends at the park. I come in at around 48lbs, perfection for those adventures we can go on...together!! Big on personality, smart and inquisitive, affectionate and sweet, my oh my I have a boatload of great traits going on, oh and don't forget my stunning good looks, to make me a great family addition, I just need the family...could it be YOUR family?

Story
Nola is a 6 year old Beagle mix. While we are not sure how she would do with cats, we do know she can be choosey with her dog friends. So, if you have another dog at home please bring them in for a meet and greet. Nola is not a fan of children and does not have the patience for them. She also has shown some resource guarding when around children. She does know basic commands and was house broken when she came to us, but may need a refresher due to being in a shelter setting. Nola likes to lounge around and lay in the sun. If you would like to meet her please stop by SPCA Cincinnati to visit her and all our other adoptable pets.

Story
Beautiful BECCA is big fun in a small package. She's a lively little girl, 2 years old and fully grown at just 22 pounds. She's sweet, friendly and active. With her stunning brown eyes and cheerful disposition, Becca will charm the treats right out of you. Becca appears to be a beagle/jack russell terrier-type mix. Her legs are spring-loaded like a JRT, this girl can JUMP. She just loves to play, loves her toys and treats and people. She's good with other dogs and uninterested in kitties. Becca needs a home with another playful dog, without a playmate she will likely get bored and into some mischief. She will need a securely fenced yard OR she will need to be taken out regularly for leashed walks.  The vertical slat fences that HOA's love will not contain a petite pup like Becca, she can slip right through. Beagles have a bad habit of following their noses into trouble. If you'd like to meet Becca, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Becca at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate if she's still available. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 5, 2024, 10:41 am

Story
ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED! Meet PATSY PUGGLE, a sweet, gentle timid girl looking for a home. Patsy Puggle has been a months-long project for her foster mom. She came to the rescue a terrified mess. She was a stray dog who gave birth to puppies. She had to be trapped in order to be captured along with her pups. We were told that a rescue agreed to take the puppies, but wouldn't take mama because she was so terrified. It's been a journey getting Patsy ready for a home, but she's finally ready! Patsy Puggle is a puggle (pug/beagle)-type mixed breed girl, 5ish years old and fully grown at 25 pounds. Patsy needs a quiet home with a patient adopter who will help build her confidence. Patsy Puggle needs a well-balanced dog sibling to help her navigate life. She adores her confident foster sister. She MUST have a fur sibling, no exceptions. Patsy Puggle needs a secure, physically fenced yard to keep her safe. Patsy Puggle is housebroken, crate trained and dog and cat friendly. If you would like to meet Patsy Puggle, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. Story
Introducing Gambit - the name's not just a coincidence; it's a testament to my ability to shape my destiny. Just like my Marvel/X-Men namesake, I've overcome my past and now look forward to a brilliantly bright future. My journey started in a rather somber place - a lonely field next to a gas station. Thankfully, kind souls would drop by, leaving me food and their hopes for a better life. One day, a persistent and resourceful lady decided to play her "pawn" and orchestrated my escape from that grim existence. Since then, I've been living with her and her doggy (and human) family. But now, I'm eagerly searching for my own forever family. Let's talk quirks. I'm a cheerful guy, but I've got some personal space boundaries. I'm protective of my face, so a home with adults or older, dog-savvy kids is my ideal match. I'm also a bit of a goofball and adore the company of other dogs. Now, I might not instantly become your best buddy; I take time to trust and get comfortable in my surroundings. But trust me, the patience will be worth it. I'm brimming with love and loyalty, just waiting for the right family to share it with. Here's the good news - I'm house and crate trained, proving that, yes, young dogs can indeed learn new tricks. Oh, and there's more - I'm pretty chill around cats, though a gentle introduction is wise. And I've been curious and respectful around a human baby, so that's a plus. One thing to note, though, is that I've had some reservations around men. Despite two years together, I haven't quite warmed up to my human's fianc and have snapped at him a few times. So, it might be best if I find a home without men. During a short stay with Kathy, I was a little shy but kept to myself. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a dash of X-Men flair and you're ready to give me the chance I deserve, let's make it happen. I can't wait to meet you and start this exciting new chapter together! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Meet the cutest gal on the block with the best smile, Lucinda! Lu is a 4.5 year old hound, boxer mix who loves her people, including kids, and is full of exuberance. She is also only a medium girl at 45 lbs— the perfect size in our eyes! She came into rescue at 6 months old & was adopted, but was returned 3 years later because the adopter was having a baby. Sweet Lucinda did nothing wrong, & she’s looking for a forever, loving family this time around!    Lucinda loves playing with energetic dog friends after slow meets & is working on manners (she can get a tad bit excited for some hehe)! She would love an active home where she can go on adventures with her people— a favorite of hers is hiking! A family that gives her lots of belly rubs? She says, “yes please!”   This wiggly girl is healthy & ready to find her forever home! She is house trained, crate trained, & knows basic commands! She is so smart & is ready to continue learning in a forever home to show a family just how amazing she is! July 6, 2024, 2:32 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Ellie and I’m a five year old beagle mix. First, let me tell you all the great things about me; I’m a snuggler and love sleeping under the covers, I know a lot of commands and can be taught more because I’m super smart and very good motivated. I also get along with other friendly dogs and also with dog savvy cats. I walk like a champ with a prong collar and like car rides too. Now, I’m going to tell you about things I’m working on. I’m a barker, foster mom says it’s because I’m a hound but sometimes I wear a bark collar because I’ve decided it’s my job to let you know about anything that might be a threat, whether it’s a squirrel in the yard or just an unknown sound. I also would not do good around small kids and prefer ones ten or older that are respectful of my space. I do take anxiety medicine which helps me. I want a person/family that understand my needs and want to help me continue my training. I almost forgot to mention that I’m housebroken and will stay in my crate and I never ever tear anything up or chew on things. July 6, 2024, 2:32 pm

Story
Zeke (and Stitch) - These two have been the best of friends since I picked them up from pet wow on the same day. I don't think they knew each other before they came to SAAP, but they have grown very close over the last couple of months. They were both set to be euthanized in February, and are now living the life of luxury in a house! They aren't a bonded pair and don't have to go to the same home, but would probably love to do so. They would be a great fit for anyone looking for two dogs. They are both crate trained and house broken. They were both very very skinny when they came to SAAP, and Zeke has gained weight easily and quickly. Stitch has a hard time keeping weight on because he's very very active and seemingly has a very high metabolism. They're both playful, energetic, gentle, and super sweet. They would love a house with a fenced-in yard. They're great with kids and cats. They're still working on manners, but they are just a little jumpy at times. Zeke is about 30 lb and Stitch is about 25 lb. July 6, 2024, 2:32 pm
