Story
I'm going to start this profile by saying Sweet 8 month old Clover is truly looking for her Lucky Four Leaf "Clover" Family. Her life has been a heartbreaking one so far to say the least, but she's now safe in a foster home that loves Clover very much and she has been promised her life will be a happier one now. (She was found in a Dumpster by animal control in Cleveland, extremely thin, full of worms, and lethargic) She was listed as a beagle mix from the shelter, but I honestly don't know what she's a mix of.  Clover weighs approx. 35lbs, and is a sweet sweet girl that keeps her little tail super tucked between her legs when she meets new people. She is doing her best to keep her crate clean, and can be a bit vocal when she's in there. She's learning about potty breaks and is taken out frequently during the day to "Go Potty". I learned today she is sadly, terrified of brooms and your guess is as good as mine why.  So I am looking for a home for Clover that is so wonderful, it'll be like she HIT THE JACKPOT!! A home with the most love and patience for a sweet rescue dog.  Please fill out an application if you would like to be considered to adopt Clover. Please email me at sswank1@gmail.com after the application has been completed, and if you have any questions about her. Her adoption fee is $350.00, and includes her spay, up to date vaccinations, heartworm, flea and tick preventative, microchip, and ENDLESS LOVE FROM SWEET CLOVER!!! Here's her  video!! https://youtube.com/shorts/GqgKChmawiM?si=YKPS3iIplvbwQ9MsMarch 24, 2025, 9:11 pm

Story
Meet Noble! Born 12/27/24 this half-beagle cutie is on the hunt to find his furever family! This little explorer wrestles, pounces, and plots elaborate heists to steal the biggest stuffed toy in the house before his greedy siblings can claim it. He’s a pro at the sneak-away-and-stash move. He might start off a little shy, but once he decides you’re cool, get ready for non-stop fun and snuggles (plus, plenty of kisses!). Basically, he's got the perfect blend of playful mischief and total sweetheart vibes. Noble's mom is a small beagle (18 lbs), puppy growth charts estimate his adult size at a perfect 'medium' range of 30-ish lbs right now but are NOT highly reliable due to rapid growth this young and an unknown father.  Our best guess based on how the litter is looking right now is that their other half might include some doxie/dachshund (but it is complete guesswork on our part).  Please remember pups looks and personalities can change quite a bit as they grow up. They lose their puppy coats and growth estimates are notoriously unreliable when dealing with mixed breeds. Also note that puppies are LOTS of work. They cannot be alone for 8 hours a day, they chew EVERYTHING, they are physically not capable of 'holding' it for long periods until they mature and they're top skill is usually finding trouble no matter how well you think you've puppy-proofed your home. Given Noble's personality we think he'd do well with a social, active family who has the time and patience to work with a puppy. Since Noble is half beagle, he is probably not the best fit for a shared wall. Given his beagle mama, he could be very vocal as an adult.  Noble will be ready to go home by mid April. His adoption fee is $400 and includes neuter, microchip, all age appropriate vaccines and prevention (flea, tick, heartworm). The first step in the adoption process is to  fill out an adoption application  today at our website  www.pawsandprayers.org  .  ***IMPORTANT:  Inquiries submitted through Petfinder or other third-party websites DO NOT submit as applications in our database, please complete an appliation on our website.  Meet Valor! Born 12/27/24 this half-beagle cutie is on the hunt to find his furever family!   Valor is the biggest little guy of his litter...and has the biggest heart to go with his plump fuzzy butt (typical baby fat). Story
Meet Pocket, a sweet little girl. She is an approximately 5 month old pup who weighs about 15 pounds. She is a wonderful combination of playful puppy and a snuggler. Her favorite spot is cuddled next to her foster mom on the couch. She is affectionate and very friendly. She wants to visit everyone she sees. She quickly greets new people with a wagging tail and "the wiggles". She loves her "treats" which makes training a bit easier. She is very bright and is very close to being completely house trained. She sleeps in her crate at night and when alone in the house. She is able to keep her crate mess free. We are working on leash training and has been doing very well- a work in progress. She enjoys walking around the neighborhood and is curious about everything. She has no experience with cats at this point. She is a terrific little girl and would love to share the couch with you! Pocket does require a fenced yard as she loves to run.   All Paws and Prayers animals are up to date on vaccinations (age appropriate) and are given monthly flea/heartworm prevention. Adoption fee also include Pocket's spay and microchipping. Pocket got her name because she looks like a Labrador Retriever you can put in your pocket. Her adoption fee is $350. To adopt this little love, please do our non-obligatory application at www.pawsandprayers.org . March 28, 2025, 7:00 am

Story
Attention, Beagle lovers! Dixie is here to steal your heart (and maybe your snacks). This sweet-as-honey, 20lb, 3-year-old beagle has mastered the art of belly rub appreciation and is ready to trade in her 'Superstar Mama of Six' title for Spoiled Family Dog. She’s gentle and affectionate but don’t be fooled—there’s a mischievous little spark behind her soulful eyes! Now that her puppies are a bit older, Dixie is rediscovering her playful side. On NICE days, she’s up for walks, hikes, and grand sniffing adventures, so a fenced yard (aka her kingdom) to explore would be ideal. Bonus points if there’s another pup to keep her company! Let’s talk about The Beagle Soundtrack™. Dixie isn’t a constant talker, but when she does make her voice heard—trust us, you’ll know! So, unfortunately this means an apartment/condo would not work for this girl. When it comes to walks, Dixie is ALL IN—ears flapping, tail wagging and nose to the ground, full-speed ahead! Sometimes she gets a little too excited and pulls, but she’s working on her leash manners. She’s also house-trained but still bouncing back from motherhood, so a little patience will go a long way. Health-wise, Dixie is heartworm negative but recently tested positive for Lyme’s and ehrlichiosis--thank you, ticks :-(  The good news? These conditions are TOTALLY manageable with year-round preventatives (a MUST), occasional bloodwork, and some inexpensive meds if a 'flare' should occur. No biggie—just an excuse for extra TLC! Adoption Fee: $300 (Includes her spay, microchip, vaccines, and current month flea/tick/heartworm prevention) Apply at: www.pawsandprayers.org Dixie is ready to trade foster life for a loving home full of adventures, belly rubs, and ALL the sniffs. Could you be you her happily-ever-after?  The first step in the adoption process is to complete a no-obligation  adoption application  at  www.pawsandprayers.org .     March 26, 2025, 6:42 pm
