Just look at this face with the soulful eyes and forehead wrinkles. Meet Henry. Henry is a male bea-bull (beagle and bulldog) that weighs 39 pounds. He is 1 yr old. His DOB is 2-19-24. Henry came to us as an owner surrender through no fault of his own. Henry is ALL puppy. He is a friendly and happy boy that would be a great co-pilot in the car. He loves to be around people and other dogs. He has as high energy level and would love an active family to take him on outings and hikes in the park. He is particularly fond of squeaky toys and chew toys. He can entertain himself. He would benefit having another dog in the home to help teach him the ropes. He has a rambunctious play style so a like-minded dog would be great. Cat compatibility is unknown. Henry will need help and patience with potty training but with a consistent and regular routine, we are confident that he will the hang of it in no time. He is crate trained. When Henry sees people, he gets excited and likes to jump on people. For that reason, we are asking for older teens and up. In the home, Henry likes to counter-surf so general obedience training is recommended. Henry is available for our foster to adopt program which means you can foster him in your home until he finishes his vetting which includes neuter, vaccines, heartworm testing, and a microchip. He’s friendly, playful, and gets along great with other dogs and kids. Lester does pull a bit on walks, but with consistent training, that habit can be improved. His cheerful personality and loving nature would make him a wonderful addition to any family. He’s ready to hop into your heart and home! The shelter is open Tuesday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Lola is an active young girl around 9 months old. She has lots of energy and needs more exercise than I can give her. She is finally mostly housebroken as long as you learn her signal for needing to go out to potty (never any poop accidents) and keep her on a schedule. She is a goofball who likes fetch and squeekies and can be a lot of fun. I believe she may be a mix of german shepherd and hound as she is smart and stubborn. She also seems to be a bit protective and fearful of strangers. She likes to chase critters so she must have a fenced yard and she likes to dig. We have started on the basics with training and she has got "sit" down pretty well, but her attention span is not very long. She will definitely need more training and something to keep her busy to help keep her out of trouble. She will snuggle when she's sleepy and is very affectionate. She does enjoy the company of our other dog but she plays a bit too rough for her.
