Story
Zen came to us mid year and was adopted quickly after but only two months later he was returned to no fault of his own. There was a young teenager in the home who would not respect his space. Instead of listening to Zen, she continually tried to hug and pick him up like a teddy bear. Zen tried to move away, tried to tell her no but the child refused to listen. He never bit her but the parent figured that would eventually happen as her child would not listen and made the decision to surrender him back. Zen is a 4 year old male who is quite chill. He would make a great addition to any family as long as they respect his space, which everybody should do for any dog. He does like to play with other dogs as well. He is very well behaved. Adoption fee is $300 which helps cover all of the medical for all of the dogs in the rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and many have received further treatment for such conditions as lump removal, severe ear infections, dental cleanings, bloodwork, leg injuries, etc.. We do out of state adoptions but require a submitted application, a home visit (sometimes we cannot get this done and then we can not adopt), and the adopter must come to Las Vegas to meet the potential dog(s), possibly adopt, and then drive the dog back. Beagles can have a lifespan of 15-18 years therefore beagles under 3 years of age will not be adopted to anyone over the age of 62. All our dogs are in foster homes so not all are available to attend all our park meetups. Our meetup group playdates allow you to socialize your beagle with his/her own breed at dog parks with large fenced areas where the beagles can run and play off-leash.
